I'd like to see what it looks like without the white border and placed on a green helmet.

I wonder if either team will consider going after Bethel-Thompson since he's left New Orleans? He could help either team right now.
I thought Bethel-Thompson going to New Orleans was more of a family thing? He might be more likely to pursue other opportunities in the U.S. rather than come back to Canada.

Looks like Gill Sans and Gill Sans Bold. Honestly, if it's something British, Gill is a good place to start.

The Guardian with a bit of a skewering for the corporate marketing jargon that accompanies pretty much every kit unveiling these days.

Footy Headlines points out that the graphic of ancient Rome included in the numbers on AS Roma's home kit appears to have been taken from stock site Alamy, and Alamy's logo is still visible in the pattern. You can see outline of the 'a' and the 'y' in the negative space in the middle of the 8 on the back of a Roma shirt:

So, I might've missed it somewhere but...is there a particular reason for this specific colorway, or is it just a flavor-of-the-season template?
From MLSSoccer.com:
QuoteThe new uniform pays tribute to Caribbean culture by featuring a bold color palette synonymous with the sights of Carnival. The textured pattern nods to the bright feathers worn by Mas Bands, complemented by the “All For One” pillars highlighted on the jock tag.

Yeah, I included that quote from the MLS announcement in the story because, the way it was worded, it's not clear if the sales threshold is still the criteria for a third kit. The word "selected" makes it seem like it's not and it instead was a strategic decision about which markets they could sell the most in.

So Toronto flogged enough shirts to get a 3rd kit, and the result is much like a lot of the home and away kits that adidas has launched this year - nice until you get to the one colour back.
Worse is that the names and numbers will be yellow on the pink background, making them very hard to read even when standing still.

Mistake on the Mothership article concerning the new home Frankfurt shirt -
The Moody Diva has worn a similar style of stripes before, in 1988-89.
Thanks for the correction. I'll make that change as soon as I can.

Aston Villa home with new crest (which is weirdly only being used on kits and not in the stadium or on their digital channels):
That's a new sponsor -- a betting firm (aren't PL clubs supposed to be phasing them out?) that had a deal with Norwich City cancelled just days after it was signed in 2021 when fans revolted over their sexualized advertising.

Wait—time out: is this San Diego MLS thing already a done deal or is all this speculation in hopes of SD landing an expansion franchise?

Uh, so where is the right place to request logo work from anyone looking to make a few dollars?
From the FAQ that should have popped up when you signed up:
Quote- Members must have 100 posts in order to view the Requests forum and request design work.
- Requests must be made in the Requests forum. Requests made in other forums will be moved to the Requests forum. If the member making the request has fewer than 100 posts, it will still be moved to the Requests forum and the moderator who does so will add a note asking anyone willing to help to contact the original poster via PM.
This is to cut down on people signing up for the sole purpose of requesting work. If anyone wants to take you up on your offer, they can PM you directly.
