  1. Good day to you all.

    Here is my situation.

    I have upgraded to CS3.

(Not what everyone would prefer, but maybe what some could afford/justify.

    My problem

When I do an Offset Path, I do Object>Path>Offset Path

    This works fine.

But what I am left with is both Paths remain highlighted.

So if I am outlining text, I have to de-select every letter that I want to remain one colour, while selecting the new outlined letter.

Is it possible to change this to simply highlighting the new Path I have made with Offset, like CS2 does?

    If so, how?

I think if you ungroup your outlined type before you do the offset path, this fixes your issue.

  2. I really enjoyed this era of the Cavs' jerseys, although i see why they're probably disliked (Wesley Person was the only person I could think of who actually played in Cleveland during this time. Wesley freaking Person.)

Even if Johnny Canuck and the stick-in-rink are pretty cool, this is probably my favorite Canucks set:

I think Tulane University might have the best color combination in all of sports. Olive & Blue FTW!

Loved these....hated the outcome of the game, however.

In my opinion, the best uniforms in football (even if the brown-on-orange look is rarely, if ever used in Cleveland), although Stipe-era sock stripes would be an improvement

I really liked the Kellen Clemens-era of Oregon uniforms

I really like these White Sox uniforms, especially the caps

    I also like gray facemasks.

Just the "Bradley Paper" part. I thought I had this font, but apparently I don't (or i just can't find it).

Edit: Nevermind, I found what I was looking for...or something close to it (Antique Central, if anyone cares)

  5. "We Never Stop" - I know I've seen that one on some of the free font sites, but I can't put my finger on it right now.

"Pride, Passion" - Aside from the Ps (obviously) I think it's Century Gothic.

    "Cast Your Vote/Sanchez" - Spammy's right; it's Copperplate.

    Thank you.

"We Never Stop" is Weltron Urban, or something of the like. It's on dafont.com for sure.

  6. Can someone explain to me how to do this:

I'm trying to draw three curves, but I want them all to be roughly the same thickness and line up perfectly.

So I guess kind of like this: ((( (Imagine those three were touching). I've been copying and parting one curve then manually adjusting and cutting it, but it's not the most convenient or accurate method.

Sorry if i'm a little bit confusing, but does anybody understand and know how to do this?

    Thanks!

Couldn't you have 3 straight(i.e. flat) lines/shapes, group them, then just arc(h) them? I'm not 100% sure of what you're asking.

  7. Buy Illustrator.

Anywho, I'm just curious— Can anyone tell me how to convert text to outlines in Illustrator and InDesign? Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Click on your textbox, go to Type>Create Outlines. Done.

    Or, Apple (or ctrl, if you're a PC :rolleyes::P ) + Shift + O

  8. Does anyone have an action template for hockey? In .ai? Thanks in advance.

I don't know that there's an 'action' template, but there's one of a player in uniform. I'm pretty sure it's on the first page of this thread....correct me I'm wrong, but I think StPatty did it.

  9. Thanks for all the help Shumway, but I still keep running into walls here. Now when I go to trace the logo again, it just disappears. And earlier when it wasn't disappearing, when I selected the blue part, it still outlined the snow inside of the logo.

Try sending the outline to the back.
