  1. I posted in here a couple weeks or so ago that we should have had a CCSLC meetup at tomorrows Coyotes-Panthers game.
  2. You mean to say Raleigh isn't populated by the stick families from the backs of soccer mom vans?
  3. Warnings won't change anybody's attitude BECAUSE IT'S A FREAKING INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD ABOUT SPORTS LOGOS. Both sides here need to realize that. VG, it looks bad because you're repeatedly moaning in here about something that happens to every post deemed unnecessary to have its own thread when there is a perfectly good thread for it. And to the internet thing, you're whining that an INTERNET MESSAGE BOARD isn't accepting your attempts at whatever you're doing, it's childish. Go do something that will matter to the family or your fellow personnel, donate or do whatever people have set up. Everybody else just has to calm down about whatever the heck this is. Childish as well. Not many people have had their ideals changed due to an internet fight. And nobody's going to remember this later.
  4. We've all told you what the explanation's going to be though.
  5. You're making this more of an issue than it has to be. You're angry about your thread being moved, okay. But it's not an bullying problem or some sort of ethnocentric thing.
  6. Most times there isn't a lot of fanfare around merging of topics, usually just a single post from a mod saying it was moved. But it's usually only for the topics that get large amounts of attention and people are looking for. You're still allowed to post what you want, it will just get dealt with under the rules of the board or discretion of the mods.
  7. I'm going to presume it's because it's a new post on an already made topic. It didn't warrant it's own thread. The topic is new because it had to do with Cpl Nathan Cirillo's return to Hamilton by funeral procession, the outpouring of love and Canadian pride by people who didn't know Cirillo but felt a duty to say thank you for the needless slaying that occurred. It had nothing to do with the BS coward that shot him and events that surrounded the Parliament shootings. It deserved it's own thread, period! I don't believe it should have been buried in the Ottawa Shooting thread. Take it from me a current long serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces, most notably the Royal Canadian Navy of 18 years, who has done more and risked more than most of these moderators on this board. That 24 year old soldier deserves the recognition even if it's on this board to stand on it's own. I think it's a sacrilege and a dishonesty to us Canadians to push this thread to somewhere it doesn't deserve to be. It does though, considering he was the one that was shot. I don't think anyone is trying to undermine what you, Nathan or any military personal do, but it was just a housekeeping issue mod wise. The new thread had to do with Cirillo's funeral procession from Ottawa-Hull to Hamilton, Ontario. Not the shooting in Ottawa itself. It's still the same "incident". We have the NFL thread and the Anti-NFL thread for all the issues going on behind the scenes of the NFL. If someone makes a separate thread for anything that comes out now (more suspensions, arrests, etc.) it would get moved into one of those threads. It's just the mod protocol here.

  10. Big unpopular opinion here, I actually don't mind the look of sleeved NBA jerseys provided it's a good looking jersey design for the team.
  11. I said it earlier, I don't think most people know about Vinnie and the goings-on with ownership and the government. All they see is low attendance and think that the team just has to be good. Well I don't think the Panthers will ever be good in the current situation. I've also seen a thing where the Panthers attendance right now was compared to the Blackhawks circa Dollar Bill, so it's not all bad Panthers. Even the Blackhawks had bad attendance. Yeah, no.
  12. I feel that there are a lot people who are (willfully maybe) ignorant about the true plights of the Coyotes and the Panthers and the back stories of how it's not just the attendance. Heck, I probably would be if it wasn't for this thread and the admiral's newspaper sleuthing. But the Florida Panther and the Arizona Coyote have both been upgraded to Critically Endangered by the IUCN.
  13. https://twitter.com/FlaPanthers/status/521851638026219520 This is kind of sad.
  14. We should have a CCSLC meetup at a Panthers home game. Maybe give them their highest attendance of the season. Edit: Panthers-Coyotes in Florida, October 30th. http://www.stubhub.com/florida-panthers-tickets/florida-panthers-sunrise-bb-t-center-10-30-2014-9076019/ Whoooooooooooo!
  15. For reference, the Red Deer-Moose Jaw WHL game on the same date in Moose Jaw (population: 32,132) had an attendance of 3044.
  16. And even then, it's the whole province. Once a week games means that people here in Saskatoon and the other towns can drive up to Regina and watch the game.A hockey team that has to fill 41+ dates each year isn't going to work in Saskatchewan.
  17. The Saskatoon arena is in a weird spot too if you're coming from the city. It's almost outside city limits and it's between two highways leading out of the city so you have to pass the arena and then backtrack on a side road. And one of highways makes it so you have to cross the other side of the highway and then backtrack.
  18. Saskatoon??????????? http://www.thestarphoenix.com/sports/Saskatoon+strongest+Canadian+market+option+expansion+Graham+says/10244346/story.html
  19. I occasionally lurk on reddit and here's a passionate post from a Panthers fan who is fed up with his team being talked about in relocation talks. http://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comments/2hl1wk/as_a_panthers_fan_ive_got_a_rant_to_get_off_my/ Looking at the comments, it's somewhat amazing how many people don't understand the business side of the Panthers. I mean not everybody has the pleasure of being on the CCSLC and reading this thread, but some people.......
  20. Does anybody have a good baseball template?
