  1. This made me laugh, I think it's a fantastic idea. 'Fake' jerseys look so bad that I lean over to my girlfriend at every sporting event and point out each single one that I see, either because I can't resist or I want her to know what a real jersey looks like in case she buys me one. Can't people tell when the numbers, logos, and/or colors are off like that?? If you buy a jersey, do it right! Even a replica is fine for God's sake Funny, I do the same exact thing with my friends, brother & my mother... every one of them tells me to shut the hell up. Apparently, I do it so often, it's gotten to the point where I drive them all crazy by just mentioning it. I do it anytime I see one, whether it be at the stadium, out at the store, on the streets, or even just on the television.
  2. I'm fairly certain the vast majority of people would laugh at you and throw the card in the air as they walk away. Honestly, I don't care what they would do. As long as it worked with a few people, which I figure it would, who would ask how I knew or any number of various questions because they didn't know, then it would be worth it. It drives me crazy, the amount of fake jerseys I see at any Broncos event I go to. It seems like that's where the most of them are. I see considerably less Nuggets & Avalanche fakes compared to the Broncos.
  3. One of the best things about the vinyl patch is that the counterfeiters will obviously make them embroidered, and then we'll see about a million more fakes that are even easier to spot than before... not that they were all that hard before. Honestly, I have considered getting business cards printed up that say, "Your jersey is fake/counterfeit" and pass them out at the games & events I go to.
  4. Been looking without any luck. I would like to know what the United In Orange/TIme To Ride font is.
  5. Here's my update on the other one I promised...Chicago Packers. Hope you like! Looks good! The Packers team colors were orange and blue, so you might want to incorporate them in order to differentiate this from the Bulls logo a bit more. I was just going by what I had to work with, which looks like thin black outlines around the logo. Also that color is a deep orange, not red.
  6. The font is not identical but pretty close & I couldn't make out the small detail under CHARGERS. This actually looks better without the small detail under the logo. The detail under on the left/yellow side is actually the AFL logo. No idea what the strip on the right side is though.
  7. I'm pretty sure those aren't China fakes. Every fake I've ever seen in my life has sewn numbers. Those are all screen printed. I think they are wal-mart/generic mistakes. The wal-mart jerseys are plain with the team's font and the primary logo on the sleeves and/or under the collar.
  8. Just renewing the request for an update for Huffy in case it got lost among the subsequent requests. Thanks! Just and FYI for you, and everyone else making requests... He does them in the order which he chooses to, not in the order of which was requested.
  9. I may start helping out with this, just depends on my free time and whatnot. Anyway, with Ren's permission, here's my contribution to the thread. I did this back in '09 when the AFL Legacy uniforms were announced.
  10. It looks real, except that it is not kiss cut, but I'm not sure if bronco jerseys are kiss cut to begin with, I know my patriots jerseys are and that's the best way i can tell if its real or fakeBroncos jerseys are in fact kiss cut. Also, there are two other tells, even though that is a very good fake, it's still a fake. Look closely at the G in MANNING. The bottom right serif curves downward when the actual one has no serif and is squared off. Also the N's have a serif on both vertical parts whereas the actual N's only have them on the right one. The last thing, and this is the one thing most all of them never do manage to correct. The Nike swoosh on the sleeves is embroidered. The actual ones are a sewn on patch that's a bit thicker than embroidery.
  11. Seeing the fantastic work you did on the Bills, I have a few old AFL requests. Chiefs Oilers
  12. This. I have a personal limit of $50 per jersey. I have 15 jerseys (all licensed), and have never gone over my $50 limit. Highlights include a free Leafs jersey, a $3 Opera-Dog Coyotes jersey, a $5 Cape Breton Screaming Eagles jersey, and a $15 Robo-Pen jersey. Agreed 1000 times over. I have 196 Hockey jerseys in my collection and due to ebay, sales and bargain hunting I have not paid full price in years. The only jersey I've ever paid full price for was the AFL Legacy yellow Champ Bailey jersey, and that's simply because that was my only avenue to getting it. Every single jersey I have beyond that I've not paid full price for. I've even bought brand new ones from the Broncos store at the stadium for 50% on Black Friday. I actually bought four jerseys that morning. eBay is really the best place to find real jerseys for cheaper prices. I have never and will never buy a counterfeit jersey.
  13. You can order authentics from the Internet, too. that are around 300 versus a 25-50 dollar jersey that if you can find a good one is virtually identical to the 300 authentic If you believe that, maybe you should buy some counterfeit glasses too. i said if you get a good one, i have been given fakes before that i had to search for the inconsistancy to reveal it's a fake because my dad got me a 50 bruins and patriots jersey both were virtually real except the manufacturers logos were embroidered and not patches, and the pats jersey wasn't water resistant, other than that everything else was right, then there was another bruins winter classic i got that was an obvious fake. it just depends what you get. I seriously doubt they were virtually real. I've seen maybe 1% of fake jerseys that are anywhere near 'virtually real' and not clearly fakes. Pretty much all fakes are plainly fakes. Going to games, events, rallys, and other places where jerseys are aplenty, all the fakes have been easily identifiable.
  14. I like how he mentions "considering getting some half and half Vikings jerseys". Yeah nothing says legit like those crappy half and half jerseys that are faker than fake lol The only true half and half jersey I've ever seen was an Avs/Bruins Ray Bourque jersey from 2001. CCM made them, I just wish I'd gotten one of them.
  15. Can anyone tell me what font is used in the World Football League Logo?
  16. Is that true? I can't seem to find any pictures of it and NHLUniforms doesn't have anything that claims they did. It's partially true. Through a search on Getty, it appears they wore black helmets with their white jerseys for the preseason, and not during the regular season. That does in fact make the previous photo I posted quite rare, since he's wearing a white jersey with the white helmet AND the captains patch.
  17. Him wearing the C is a fantastic find. Sakic out with long-term injury? It's one of only two images I was able to find of him in an Avs jersey, and from the site it came from, it says it was a pre-season game and the C was worn by him for the 'inaugural' season in Colorado for the pre-season only.
  18. The 2012 Seahawks didn't play the Jaguars. Though they did play both the Dolphins & Vikings.
  19. The Tennessee oilers only existed for 1 season and that's what the picture is of. The only other way the ravens played the oilers is if it was in 1996 (the ravens first year) when they were still in Houston. But I don't think that happened The Oilers were in Tennessee in 1997 & 1998. To add to that, both the Oilers and Ravens were in the AFC Central. They played one another twice each of those two seasons. They also played each other twice in 1996 in the Oilers last season in Houston.
  20. It's fake, but what scares me is how good it is. The two things that allow me to identify it as such are; on the NFL shield on the collar, you cannot see the stitching that attaches it to the jersey and you definitely can't see the holes in the shield, and the stitching on the twill is too heavy, the stitches are way too close together, they should be spread apart more.
  21. I'll use NFL as an example beacuse that where it seems to be bad: I think knockoffs are populare because people are pissed off with Reebok. Reebok charges $80 for a jersey where the logos, numbers, and stripes are screen printed. You could also get an authentic jersey for $250. Then, there are the Chinese made jerseys which are meant to be the equivalent to an authentic. They may be knockoff, but for the most part it looks accurate and everything is nicely embroidered and go for $20-60. Which would you buy? Not to mention there's rumors of Nike upping the prices on NFL replicas when they take over for Reebok in April. Over $100 for a replica is bullsheet. If the logos numbers and striping are embroidered, I would be okay with that price. That's yet another glaring error in the counterfeits. The numbers aren't and haven't ever been embroidered. In fact, the only thing that's embroidered on an authentic jersey are if the team has a logo on the sleeve or chest.
