  1. Well it'll probably be the Chiefs but either way the AFC championship is gonna be gorgeous.
  2. Okay, NOW can Ohio State wear those uniforms permanently?
  3. I wouldn't say "bad" but white TV numbers is preferred look on a primary (as an alt/throwback I love 'em). Pass.
  4. Of course. After winning in 2015, I don't get why they didn't start wearing them full time. They still use them for the playoffs, obviously, but for a little while they'd break them out for big regular season games too (Penn State, Michigan, Oklahoma). Just pull the trigger already, the primaries are redundant and less iconic.
  5. I'd like them to go to the old stripes full time instead of saving them for the highest pressure games they are most likely to lose, which feeds these uniform superstitions. If they forwent them this round I wouldn't mind. The modern road jerseys at least have gray in the stripes, unlike the homes.
  6. Bama v Notre Dame Clemson v Ohio State My guess is home crimson v gold/white/gold AND all-orange v white throwback stripes (though I could see the team trying to avoid the bad juju). As a Buckeyes fan I'm unfortunately prepared for a similar result. Just imagine how dumb it'd be if Notre Dame beat Bama only to play Clemson a third time.
  7. Came in here to complain about how awful the Big 12 game looked but glad to see that's been covered. Every other P5 conference championship has looked great.
  8. That should look great! Probably my favorite combo for Northwestern. Thought the game looked great, and I preferred all the kelly rather than yellow pants v gold.
  9. I just can't get behind mustard as a sports color. It's ugly to me here, as with Notre Dame's modern pants (though not the same exact shade) and the Jaguars old ugly Color Rush.
  10. I definitely prefer them in a white facemask and tapered stripe, but that helmet finish is very nice. My concern is that, at least on TV, the body of their jerseys seemed like a touch more drab instead of dark green, almost like a tint of olive. Possibly just a lighting thing though, since most pictures look better. Also, Ohio State looks good in the all-white but it's so close to the white over gray that it's not all that worthwhile of an alt. I'll take it over their more gimmicky looks though for sure.
  11. Overall, I don't hate it but the marble design doesn't do much for me. I look at the helmet and it makes me think I should be looking for a logo that isn't there. Might look cool from a distance, though.
  12. Obviously these should be their "Secret of the Ooze" uniforms.
  13. This seems likely and it's a nice look for an alt.
  14. Just an assumption since they are teasing it today.
  15. I agree, and they probably won't do an alt for The Game since they are using them this week. Classic gray stripes are the only "alt" I want against Michigan.
  16. If you zoom you can see that there is scarlet on the stripes, so not sure what the tease is. Are the leaves black instead of dark green? Hopefully not a mono-gray (or at least something better than the previous attempts). Given the cold emoji, most of the speculation is toward an "icy" white uniform.
  17. White pants would've elevated the look. Maybe today's performance with dissuade them from this combo in the future.
  18. Modernizing that 90's eagle+bolt would be much better than the current Flash that does nothing for me. It's not really aesthetically pleasing, nor intimidating, nor fun even; just kinda awkward and confusing. If it were up to me they'd center their identity on the Black Squirrel though.
  19. How dare you question that corporation's loyalty to their community, they've been sponsoring the local sports match for years!
  20. Yup, and I think we'd all agree it's a shame that they've intentionally shied away from their colors on the biggest stage. They faced traditional schools wearing gorgeous combos and went bland.
  21. The entire argument is ridiculous. Oregon reached new heights both on the field and in terms of national recognition during the same period they shifted their brand to a Nike-fied experimental team. It's not like they used to play better in their traditional uniforms, they've literally never been closer to a national title than in modern duds. They've come short because it's really tough to win a national title, the sport has horrendous parity, and they've faced some great teams. Hate their look all you want, but you're right, if there's any correlation it's actually been an obvious boost to the program. BTW, I HATE the idea of a rivalry game having a presenting sponsor.
  22. That's the way I saw it on my screen as well, like it was closer to Tennessee on the pants but more saturated on the helmet. It's a classic look but the lack of purple does bother me.
  23. Red/Blue NFL Teams Pats: red looks great but traditionally a blue team and the whole "Redcoats" thing Bills: traditionally blue and look better in blue Giants: differing home/road color emphasis, works well enough for them Titans: favors navy, fans beg for Columbia, red has small role in ID Texans: red alt looks good, but team has been blue first so far Not sure any of these teams NEEDS to emphasize red, but I guess I'd pick Houston, as they look good in red and have less history to buck.
  24. This is pretty cool, but I'd limit it to the black alternate especially since it works best on that jersey.
  25. Possibly dependent on a vaccine? It would be an interesting season not only because of the odd timing/circumstance, but it would mean many of the known stars in the league would opt out for good reason. I wonder if any OOC games make it into a spring season, were it to happen.
