  1. That almost felt like a challenge so naturally I had to do it. With some obvious simplifications, the Toros lend themselves to the Diamondbacks' identity. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/hilariously-hideous-1980-tucson-toros-uniforms-making-colorful-204344740.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAN7aSw0FW7UWL2o-Nx0IFxElqF0aIww9G_aEQ3FdSy1C1l_Z8uibMFZfkj0CZDfj1rmUUq-yADZioGph1D0G_LrZ80oF7UFCT7r4NuHnOXMbckuEGudAD_Sl8QonpYruJitbhDgUpY0kgIzFmnt0qCePAT4pc6HS_leLbOkZB8Fa A good article about these ridiculous uniforms. The reference images I found showed them to be angled and maybe I did go overboard with it so I did straighten them out but not completely.
  2. Our final movement in the third act starts now: Arizona Diamondbacks - 2001 - Surprisingly, this wasn't the first idea I was gonna go with, but I liked it a strange amount and rolled with it. Headgear - all red hat with the A logo on the chest Jersey - sand sleeveless top with red undershirt, black pinstripes. Pants - sand with black pins Colorado Rockies - Denver Bears - The Rockies are still wearing close to their original uniforms, so we look to an old AAA team in the Denver area for the Rockies Headwear - purple/black with a CR monogram on the fronts Jersey - purple pullover with white and black stripes on the sleeves. Vintage style Rockies wordmark on the chest Pants - faux elastic pants with the same stripes down the side LA Dodgers - 1910 Brooklyn - The Dodgers took things way back to the early 20th century. And I mean way back Headwear - white/blue with an LA monogram in a similar font to the Brooklyn B Jersey - blue with Los Angeles vertically down the placket, flanked by smaller stripes Pants - plain blue pants, white socks with a double stripe San Diego Padres - 1983 - I wasn't quite sure how to approach SD. They've had a bevy of uniforms in a bevy of colors and that made things difficult to decide, even almost leading to a very different approach (more on that later) Headwear - exact style as 1983. Jersey - yellow replaces white in most cases Pants - see jersey San Diego Padres - 1985 Prototype - This is your different approach I mentioned, reversing a uniform that never saw the field of play: Headwear - like the image says, a lot of guesswork but a current brown hat, with a Crillee-font SD monogram Jersey - three color stripes down the shoulders, two color collars Pants - sand faux elastic, same stripes down the side San Francisco Giants - 1905 New York - so as Brooklyn goes, so too goes New York. The Giants took things back even further than their then former and still current state-mates Headwear - hats work with stripes across the front, helmet as the same SF on the front of the jerseys Jerseys - orange with SF letters on the front in the current wordmarks style Pants - blank orange, black socks. Well guys, we made it to the ... wait, is that Meek Mill? I've had a lot of fun with this series that we're gonna have an encore: yep, the league that started it all, the NHL will round us out here. The only thing different? I can't reuse the same uniforms Adidas did for the first round. C&C Welcome! NHL to follow shortly!! Not currently and not anytime in the foreseeable future.
  3. Chicago Cubs - 1918 - The Cubs go back a 100+ years, to 1918 (when apparently it has been suggested the Cubs threw that World Series, a year before their city mates got caught doing it. Don't know, it was popping up while I was working on these, definitely worth checking out if you're interested). Headwear - the headgear changes the most, eschewing the pinstriped hat in favor of a blue and white hat with the logo from the road uniforms of the era Jersey - Cubs blue with white pinstripes with arched CUBS on the chest Pants - same as the jerseys. Socks stay basically the same. Cincinnati Reds - 1956 - The Reds really put their name into these uniforms, with an inverted version of the jerseys Yasiel Puig made look pretty fantastic. Headgear - all white, red wishbone C Jersey - sleeveless red top, white sleeves optional. Number and mustachioed baseball on the chest Pants - red with the stripe down the side. Stirrups have stripes and a lot of them Milwaukee Brewers - 1978 - I can't believe that this jersey hasn't existed at any point. This jersey just looks too good. Headgear - nothing changes from 1978. Jersey - same old pullovers, this time, no powder blue and a yellow base Pants - went back to the pre-1978 white pants Pittsburgh Pirates - 1934 - As a result of this project, I learned that Philadelphia and Pittsburgh don't play in the same division. Can you tell I don't pay a whole lot of attention to baseball outside of how bad Seattle has been? Headgear - blue and red from this era go away in favor of the current colors, and in this case, the hat goes full gold with the era appropriate P logo Jersey - black, with a fairly simple design, placket piping, with a double stripe around the sleeves. Pants - black with the same double stripe. St. Louis Cardinals - 1926 - The Cards have done things pretty simply so the Reverse Retro keeps that pretty well in mind. Headgear - red & cream hat with the sleeve logo from the home uniforms of the era on the front Jersey - red with simple stripe on the sleeves, era appropriate Birds on Bat wordmark on the chest Pants - cream with a simple stripe down the side. Stirrups with a Northwestern stripe on them C&C welcome! I could have sworn the Marlins had a teal jersey from this era, hence the pinstripes, but I guess I was very wrong on that
  4. Hopefully Florida actually uses team colors with their BFBS uniform ...
  5. We begin our journey into the NL where we started in the AL, in the East: Atlanta Braves - 1975 - No debate on where I was gonna go for Atlanta. Headwear - easy flip, blue becomes red on the hat, logo goes reverse as well Jersey - red version of the blue feather uniforms Pants - only change is the red belt. Miami Marlins - 1997 - Back to the Florida Marlins days and the glorious return of teal Headwear - all teal once again for the Marlins Jersey - teal version of the pinstripes Pants - just like Atlanta, just a new belt New York Mets - 1986 - Once Upon A Time in an Alternate Queens, the Mets eschew black and opt for an orange uniform finally Headwear - all orange with blue NY logo Jersey - orange version of the 86 racing stripes Pants - a new creation, the color order of the pants flips to match the jersey Philadelphia Phillies - 1922 - We go back to the Roaring 20's for the Phillies and along the trip, bring some of the 70's with us Headwear - burgundy cap with two small stripes, which comes from the 1910's, which had more life than just a blank cap Jersey - cream with burgundy pinstripes, modern P logo on the chest within a circle Pants - cream with burgundy pins Washington Nationals - 1981 Expos - The Nats honor their previous life in the MLB, opting for a uniform reminiscent of their days above the border. Headwear - tricolor hat, this time with the curly W on the front Jersey - powder blue jersey, done in the style of the current alternate, with some Expos touches Pants - powder blue with a simple two color stripe down the side C&C welcome!
  6. Cry about what? The fact that the Astros got caught cheating? Then the players were given immunity from being punished? I have no love for LA, but the Astros cheated. Plain and simple.
  7. Finishing up our stint in the American League: Houston Astros* - 1965+1975 - This might be better categorized as a Mixtape uniform, but I brought two of the Astros' earliest eras together on one uniform. Headwear - nothing fancy, but an orange hat, a reversal of the 1965 hat Jersey - navy base, with the shooting star wordmark, now featuring a shooting sunrise(?). Also, to feature the Tequila Sunrise and the font that came with the jersey, the circle + number design is on the back, with the TqS stripes contained in the circle. Pants - nothing fancy at all, all white. Stirrups have the star on the side. Los Angeles Angels - 1978 - The Angels go back to their California Angels days, and add a splash from the Disney Angels days. Headwear - periwinkle replaces navy on the hats, but things remain pretty much the same from there. Jersey - much like the hat, white is replaced by periwinkle Pants - the pants see the most change, with the navy elements being completely replaced with periwinkle Oakland Athletics - 1968 - I could have sworn the A's wore this jersey style in all green, but enough internet searching proved I was wrong on that matter. Headwear - a first for the A's, all-yellow hat and helmet. Both with the green A . Jersey - sleeveless green jersey w/yellow sleeves. Pants - green with the same stripes as the jersey Seattle Mariners - 1984 - Possibly my second favorite of the Mariners' identities gets a different take here. Headwear - all teal, for the first time, with the Flying Trident logo on the fronts Jersey - teal pullover, with the racing stripes and all that 80's charm that comes with it Pants - teal and navy take over for the blue and yellow. Texas Rangers - 1972 - Our final AL entry, just happens to be celebrating their 50th anniversary this season, which coincides with the uniform I chose for them. Headwear - red and blue for the Rangers, with a big white T on the fronts. Jersey - red jersey, as Texas went with a blue jersey long before they went for a red one. Pants - no change from the originals. C&C welcome!
  8. Chicago White Sox - 1967 & 1983 - Baseball is proving to be an interesting challenge for a project like this. How do you reverse uniforms that have either been white or grey? Well you can smash eras together. Headwear - white panel hat, red replaced with light blue. Helmet is all navy with a blue brim. Jersey - the 1983 jersey meets up with the 67 colors, powder blue uniform, red goes away. Pants - like the jerseys, powder blue. Cleveland Guardians - 1933 - The Guardians go back, way back in their history, back to the early 30's. Headwear - all red, with a Block G logo, done similarly to the Block C. Jersey - went with a cream base, with red elements on the sleeves and the placket. Block G on the left chest. The numbers are a bit different. The numbers reference the Cleveland script from the grey uniforms in the same era Pants - nothing too fancy, small stripe on the side, contrasting belt loops. Detroit Tigers - 1960 - The Tigers have done things very simply for a long time now. The Reverse Retros aren't that much different. Headwear - white w/navy brim and navy olde English D. Jersey - The Tigers wore their nickname on their uniforms for just one season, and now for a second season, just on a navy base this go around. Pants - no change what so ever. Kansas City Royals - 2003 - Crazy to think that these sleeveless uniforms are almost 20 years old. Headwear - all powder blue, white KC on the front Jersey - sleeveless powder blue, blue sleeves, black goes away entirely. Pants - only change is a powder blue belt Minnesota Twins - 1985 - Nothing super wild, just went to the pullover era for the Twins, which lasted longer than I had previously thought. Headwear - while not an unusual sight, for these uniforms, they're a reversal of what was worn in 1985 Jersey - went red in a pretty blue heavy division Pants - while the image shows the powder blue uniforms, the white pants from the same era remain unchanged And a quick update: Slight change to the jersey gradient C&C welcome!
  9. The first movement in our last act of this play, comes to us by way of the American League, starting in the East: Baltimore Orioles - 1945 STL Browns - Baltimore leans deep into their history and goes back to St. Louis for the inspiration for their Reverse Retros. Headwear - For the hats, kept it with the design, with piping all around the sides of the hat. The helmet just has the classic Block B on the front in orange. Jersey - with orange being the lone constant between the two franchise names, the jersey is orange, with thin triple stripes around the sleeves and up the shoulders, with a Cleveland Browns style stripe down the placket. Pants/Socks - Pretty simple with with a similar stripe as the shoulders. Socks have a triple stripe. Boston Red Sox - 1975 - Boston's worn pretty similar uniforms in the modern MLB era so going back to the pullovers of the 70s made a lot of sense to me. Headwear - not an unusual sight here, but navy with the red brim Jersey - red pullovers, Red Sox on the chest, triple stripe on the collar. Pants/socks - faux waistband-style pants. I did almost mess with the socks color order, but felt the existing look worked the best. New York Yankees - 1927 - I just know this would make Yankees' fans squirm. So naturally that's why I did it. Headwear - I almost went with a white hat. But I didn't. Just used a logo closer to what Murderer's Row wore. Jersey - At least I kept the pinstripes. They're just white now on a navy uniform. The pinstripe uniforms of the era didn't have a logo on them, so the Yankees block lettering comes over. Pants/Socks - Pants look just like their jerseys, socks are simply navy. Tampa Bay Rays - 1998 - I didn't quite have a concrete plan for the Rays, but their inaugural uniforms were iconic and so I just went down that route. Headwear - all navy with the old Devil Rays logo on the front, just in the current colors Jersey - light blue, with the recolored Devil Rays logo on the front. Pants/Socks - Simple stripe down the sides on the pants, LB socks Toronto Blue Jays - 1979 - Our last entry in the AL East also went back to the pullover era, only for them, it was year 3 of their existence. Headwear - kept things pretty much the same, just went with a light blue front panel on the hats Jersey - royal blue takes the place of powder blue. Pants/Socks - same as the jersey, powder blue this time for the socks. C&C welcome!
  10. Logos on hockey socks is a trend that needs to die sooner rather than later.
  11. AS @LA Fakers+ LA Snipperspointed out, my first post for Dallas was incorrect, as they did not have the side panels in 1981.
  12. Ah :censored:. The side stripe came from my NBA series. That's my bad. I'll fix that. That's the same light blue from that uniform and logo era. It does kinda border on the line between light blue and teal tho, I give you that.
  13. And for our final scene in Act 2: Dallas Mavericks - 1981 - In 40 some years, two colors schemes and two distinct uniform styles. Time for the two to meet. The first style the Mavs ever wore meets up with the color scheme they still wear to this date. Houston Rockets - 1996 - This one might be my favorite of all the uniforms so far. The very-90's Rockets navy and red uniforms go back a season or two, and get a brighter take on things. Memphis Grizzlies - 1995 - Not a lot of options I loved here, but to go back to Vancouver in some ways. The Vancouver Grizzlies uniforms hit the court again, this time with some Memphis flavor, which is in a way the Mixtape uniforms the Grizzlies are wearing this season. New Orleans Pelicans - New Orleans Buccaneers - The Pelicans don't have a super deep history, so we go back to the ABA The Pelicans dip back to the Bucs days, and add some party flair to it, taking the blue and red uniform and use the Mardi Gras color scheme. San Antonio Spurs - 1970 Dallas Chaparrals - The Spurs also dig back into their ABA history, honoring their previous namesake The red, white and blue Chaps uniforms become a grey and black Spurs uniform, complete with the Texas logos on the sides of the shorts. San Antonio Spurs - 1976 - Now venturing into the slightly more bizarre, the Spurs second RR goes in the opposite direction The Spurs take their early NBA uniforms and give them a Chaparral-style makeover, going back to the red, white and blue colors. And that wraps up the NBA! MLB to follow soon!!
  14. Got rid of the red outlines so now the outline cuts into the stripe, giving the back number some breathing room Easy peasy. It just so happened I had a third color to work with to help smooth out some of the issues in going from 3 colors to 2.
  15. In the Southeast, the idea was brought up of using honeycombs instead of the racing flag pattern. It turned out to be a much more difficult pattern to repeat and not overlap color a whole lot than a checkerboard, but I leave here for you all to see. In the Northwest, just switched some colors around to improve legibility
  16. Golden State Warriors - 1999 - The one true deviation from the Golden State identity saw a darker blue and the introduction of orange, but what if it just, didn't? The uniform set that preceded the We Believe days gets a second lap, this time in the current colors of the team. Golden State - 1975 - This one is more for me, but was the original pick for what uniform I was gonna go with. Nothing wild, just a white version of the trolley car throwbacks the Warriors have worn a lot in the last few seasons. LA Clippers - 1972 Buffalo Braves - The Clip Show goes way back into their history and I dug not so far back into my files to dig this one up Repurposed my Retro Remix uniform for the Clippers, this time with the current red and blue. LA Lakers - 1962 - In 1985, Jerry Buss once said, “This has removed the most odious sentence in the English language. It can never again be said that the Lakers have never beaten the Celtics.” But this isn't 1985. The uniforms of the Lakers before the Forum Blue and Gold (and Los Angeles success) days get that same treatment here. Phoenix Suns - 1993 - I did have reservations about this one, taking a bright orange sunburst on an orange base. But in the spirit of the series, I think this worked out as best as we could get it One of the memorable 90's uniforms gets a different take, with orange and black trading places. Sacramento Kings - 1985 - definitely not the most flashy uniform I could have gone with, but I loved the simplicity of this uniform and its Reverse Retro outcome The Reggie Theus blue and red uniforms become the De'Aaron Fox purple and black Reverse Retros. C&C welcome! A few updates to follow in the next post
  17. Denver Nuggets - 1976 - The Nuggets have had an interesting uniform history to say the least and I reached pretty far back for them I've never been shy about my belief that the double blues + yellow is the superior color scheme for the Nuggs. To that end, those colors take over for the original blue, white and red scheme of 1976. Minnesota Timberwolves - 1989 + 2004 - The original plan was to just go green with the inaugural uniforms but it looked too Dallas for my liking so things went in a different direction The Garnett era uniforms make their return to the court, this time in the color scheme Christian Laettner wore in his days in Minnesota. Oklahoma City Thunder - 2008 - Wasn't going any further back than 2008 for the Thunder. Limiting but appropriate to me . Simple swap of navy blue and light blue. Portland Trail Blazers - 1977 - The Walton Championship uniforms get a new spin on things. The lone championship season for Portland makes another return to the court, this time in a black uniform, with red and white elements. Utah Jazz - 1998 - I'll say it. These are the best uniforms the UTAH Jazz have worn. The Mardi Gras Colors are fine and dandy, but leave that for New Orleans. The purple mountain uniforms now go light blue, which pretty much relegates purple to a very minor color, just used in the logos and the mountain peaks. And one more for your viewing pleasure: Seattle Supersonics - 1996 - Call me an optimist, but I truly believe the Sonics will be back soon, but in the meantime, I'll settle for just a Reverse Retro'ing of their uniforms. Took the 1996 uniforms and put them in the 1979 colors, which makes those logos look a little bit better but still not super great IMO. C&C welcome! I actually really like that idea. I'll make that happen for the next set.
  18. went with that era, just not the Racing Day side panels. the pinstripes do tie the eras together.
  19. Atlanta Hawks - 1985 - Somehow now the craziest uniforms in ATL history, but definitely a good set to go with for our purposes Went with the 1982-1986 uniforms for the Hawks, this time on a yellow base. a pretty simple swap as far as things go. Atlanta Hawks - 1995 + 1972 - Were the Dominique Wilkins uniforms not enough for you? The outrageous black and red gradient uniforms take on a different color scheme, running with the Pistol Pete blue and green scheme. Charlotte Hornets - 2004 Bobcats - Charlotte provided an interesting challenge. Couldn't just go back to day 1, they already have worn teal, white and purple versions of those uniforms. Carolina Cougars didn't provide much to work with. But there was one more avenue to go down The Bobcats weren't the most successful team on the court, but gave us a different way to take these uniforms. By and large, the Hornets become the Bobcats again, this time keeping the purple and teal and the Hornets name. Miami Heat - Miami Floridians - They've gone down this road before, but not like this. The Heat become the Floridians again, but this time get the nightlife involved and go for a Vice rendition of the Floridians uniforms. Orlando Magic - 2002 - Penny Hardaway had left Orlando by 2002, but the uniforms hadn't by that point and are now back in black The star-studded uniforms return to the hardwood, this time in black with blue and silver accents. I used a blue jersey in the example photo, but used the side panels from the white uniforms of the era. Washington Wizards - 2001 - In a very similar move to their hockey playing buddies, the Wizards dip into the 90s The blue. black and bronze give way to red, white and navy, as the 90's Wizards uniforms come back to the court in the current color scheme Washington Wizards - 2006 - Ignore the image date, but this jersey comes from 2006. It's also one of the more unique uniforms in NBA history and gets a second shot Gold and black give way to navy and red and swap spots with each other, including the mismatched shorts and jersey. White doesn't need to go anywhere. Also the more I look at it, the more I think I like that alternate pre-Reverse Retro'ing. C&C welcome!
  20. Moving westward a touch to the Central Division: Chicago Bulls - 1984 - Much like I said on the image, you say "Chicago Bulls", your mind has an immediate image of Michael Jordan in the iconic dynasty uniforms. I rolled with that when working on the Bulls, with a twist. I chose to go with 1984, in part because it marked the arrival of Michael Jordan, but also due in large part because of the Chicago script. I also chose to go black, which isn't unusual for the Bulls, they've done it since 1995, but they've never done a straight swap on the colors on the shorts. They've gotten close, but the design always changed in some way. Cleveland Cavaliers - 1998 - Thanks in large part to the Cavfanatic uniforms, the Cavs have been doing a lot of Reverse Retro'ing in many respects since the mid to late 2000's, which presented somewhat of an issue. I opted for the 1996-1999 uniforms, mostly out of their uniqueness and rolled them out in the current colors. black is used ever so sparingly, a little on the logo, but also in the numbers. Detroit Pistons - 1967 - The Pistons ran through a lot of styles before settling down on the Bad Boys era uniforms, which have largely persisted into today's game, but for a short stretch, royal blue wasn't the only blue the Pistons featured. The uniform goes baby blue, relegating royal to the stripes and other elements. Indiana Pacers - 1972 - I wanted to go with a gold FloJo, but the end result looked just like their current Statement uniforms. so instead we went all the way back to the ABA and the red, white and blue ball. Gold uniform, with the stripes going up from the shorts, up the side of the jersey and wrapping around to the back. What was blue is now gold and vice versa Milwaukee Bucks - 1985 - The Irish Rainbows pretty heavily inspired the current Bucks uniforms, but now they get a new run on the court. A light green uniform that moves the dark green to the stripes on the bottom of the shorts and around the arms on the jersey. C&C welcome!
  21. An early start for Act 2, the NBA which will also begin in the East. Also something to note, the NBA might get silly, with how many teams have pulled from history to satisfy Nike's 4/5 uniform demands. Boston Celtics - 1949 - Boston has worn (variations of) the same uniform for decades now. So something that varies even a little would serve well for this. Went with the 1949 drop-shadowed white uniforms and turned them Celtic Green. I think even Red Auerbach would be okay with these if he saw them today. But beyond that, a pretty simple uniform for the Celtics Brooklyn Nets - 1969 - The Nets take things back to the ABA, to a pretty nice looking uniform before we got a hold of it. The pre-Dr. J Nets were categorized as less than top tier, but they looked good while waiting for Julius to arrive. I took the 1969 white uniform, complete with a gorgeous script the team should try and integrate into their uniforms in the future. What is white goes blue and versa vice. Brooklyn Nets - 1990 - I also had a wild hair for the Nets and went with a greyscaled version of the tie-dye alternates. which are pretty much as said. The blue pattern becomes shades of grey, the red and some blue elements become black and white keeps its spot New York Knicks - 1958 - I'm going to be honest, but I didn't love a lot of my options for the Knicks. I settled on the barberpole stripe uniforms from the mid-to-late 50's on an orange base. Honestly I kind of like the look it ended up making, but again, just didn't like a whole lot of the other options that were there. Philadelphia 76ers - 1991 - We're gonna party like its 1991 in one of the more memorable uniforms in NBA history. The Sixers flex their patriotism in a blue version of their stars and gradient uniforms which carry over as close as I could, with some exception to the shorts. Toronto Raptors - 1995 - Speaking of the 90's, another memorable 90's uniform makes its return in a reversed manner. The popular inaugural uniforms for the Raptors return, this time with a black base and a lot of purple elements. C&C welcome! Yes but the stripes didn't change from white pants to red pants.
  22. Our final scene in Act 1 comes through the AFC West Denver Broncos - 1961 - Admit it, this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing. But this jersey fits the theme of the Reverse Retro perfectly Helmet - navy with a white stripe and a number Jersey - orange, plain with navy elements. Pants - navy with orange stripes. vertically striped orange and navy socks!! Kansas City Chiefs - 1969 - Not much you can do when you've worn the same uniform across two cities. Helmet - we go for gold, and while this is about the Chiefs, I went with a Chief-itized version of the Dallas Texans logo. Jersey - also going for gold, with red taking prominence throughout the uniform Pants - couldn't justify any real changes, just a yellow belt Los Angeles Chargers - 1963 - "Here's another idea that's gonna be very controversial". In an effort to not just throw them into a yellow jersey like their stadium mates, we arrive at an interesting solution Helmet - still white, bolt goes blue, with a navy outline Jersey - navy, same color bolts as on the helmet. Pants - powder blue, with a navy bolt, white outline Las Vegas Raiders - 1960-1962 - Before the Raiders settled on their current look, they had a very different look. Helmet - matte black, with a silver stripe Jersey - silver, black triple stripes with smaller white outlines, including Athletic Gothic numbers Pants - silver, with a skinny triple stripe And that concludes Act 1. The NBA will follow shortly! Ah damn it. I used it from a different project and forgot to change the facemask color
  23. https://www.tallahassee.com/story/sports/college/fsu/football/2019/09/02/florida-state-fsu-football-hydration-boise-state-seminoles-willie-taggart-water-powerade-ulm/2194318001/ Well. Not all the time.
  24. Arizona Cardinals -1988-1990 - The Cardinals are in desperate need of new uniforms. While I wouldn't want them to just go back to this era wholesale, the PHX era serves as the basis for the Reverse Retro Helmet - no change. Jersey - finally, a red Cardinals jersey with stripes on the sleeves. I didn't incorporate the flag into the stripes. It felt like too much with the Cardinal head moving to the shoulders. Also a first in this style, the red pants which have stripes that directly mirror the jersey stripes. Los Angeles Rams - 1999 - We're gonna party like its 1999, with the Greatest Show on Turf's uniforms getting one more run, in a sense. Helmet - like the image says, for the first time in franchise history, a gold helmet with blue horns Jersey - about the same as the gold color rush, but the gold sleeves are now white. it feels like it shouldn't work, but it does for some reason Pants - white pants with gold and white flipping places San Francisco 49ers - 1955 & 1963 - The Niners proved to be an interesting challenge, having worn the triple stripes on their sleeves a lot longer than I had thought. But they also had a brief silver period, which led to what we got. Helmet - 1955. Kept it red for the unique factor, but changed the stripe to gold Jersey - 1963. The 49ers had a five year period where their white jerseys had colts style stripes on the sleeves, so those go red, with the '55 drop shadow numbers coming over. Pants - 1955. The pants go for gold, with the stripe on the side staying intact. Socks come over from 1963 Seattle Seahawks - 1984 - I'm still processing yesterday's trade news, and no I'm not okay with the news. What I am okay with is the possibility of these throwbacks coming back in the near future, but I'll have to settle on them inspiring the Reverse Retros. Helmet - Kept it the same, but added a green facemask instead of the blue Jersey - the blue jersey goes green, but keeps a lot of the details intact as they were in 1984 Pants - like the helmet, it stays largely the same, but a green belt gets added. C&C welcome!
