  1. For all the times I called the Jaguars uniforms practice jerseys, I take it back. And unlike Utah, at least the Cavs stuck with a scheme with historical precedence. It's not necessarily about liking those details, but the bolded ones are the only ones that are contrasting and not tonal.
  2. A last minute substitution, as it quickly became clear to me that the Hammerheads and the Florida Launch were too close aesthetically to bring into the league together. The Waterdogs have a new rival, as the Hounds depart Charlotte and join the PLL. The logo had no reason to change, substituting Charlotte for Lacrosse Club on the top of the logo. Hounds LC - Primary Uniforms - The Hounds ended their MLL existence wearing some relatively classic looking uniforms, with a triple stripe on the shoulders, in a quasi football looking uniform. I thought that didn't need to change. Helmets - a return to the classic gold helmet for the Hounds with the blue helmet also sticking around. Jerseys - the stripes move down from the shoulders to the sleeves. Navy blue is limited to the logos. The uniforms have a paw print pattern that fades from side to side, almost like your puppy walking through the house with muddy paws. Shorts - Nothing crazy, the stripes around the bottom of the shorts, with the paw prints coming up from the bottom. Hounds LC - Clash Uniform & Practice Pinnies: Clash Uniform - i don't remember why I thought that a repeating stripe would work but I changed the stripes on the sleeves to a asymmetrical pattern going RB-Gold-NB. The full logo goes away for the Hounds wordmark. Practice Pinnies - Charlotte doesn't leave the Hounds completely. The practice jerseys have four patterned "pinstripes" of paw prints (say that 5 times fast) in a repeating color pattern. Not unlike a basketball team in Charlotte's throwback jerseys. C&C welcome!
  3. Since women's lacrosse is considered a "semi-contact" sport a full helmet isn't required. But several college teams have gone to this helmet/goggle combo for their players.
  4. I miss the Orange for CSU, but the detail in the horn is *chefs kiss*
  5. The shorts feel a little over done, but not bad overall.
  6. A team that really never had a chance, since their expansion season was the dreaded 2020... But a hammerhead shark playing lacrosse, I at least thought was awesome enough to give a second chance. Hammerheads LC - Primary Uniforms. Also if anyone cares still, I finally switched over to Champion as the jersey sponsor, much like the real PLL did starting this season. Back to the Hammerheads, I switched them from what I perceived to be a yellow-primary team to a blue-primary team. Helmet - Color-shifting helmet, that fades from light blue to team blue, much in the way the water gets darker the further you swim down. Hammerhead logo peaking over the sides. Jersey - Nothing super fancy, with a bowed stripe on the sleeves, sort of evoking the curve of a shark fin. Number font matches the wordmark font. Shorts - Fin-stripe on one leg, with the number just above it. Hammerheads LC - Clash Uniform & Practice Pinnies: Clash Uniform - Yellow returns to the forefront, on the jersey and the shorts, which keep the same design as the primary uniforms. Helmet goes to a darker shade of grey, much like that of the skin of a shark. The logo on the chest swims away from the wordmark. Practice Pinnies - Nothing wild, just a straight version of the jersey stripes with the Shark logo on the front. C&C welcome!
  7. It's definitely not a bad look. Less dated than the previous logo.
  8. I know the moose doesn't necessarily equate to "Warrriors" but leading with the moose would have been a more unique way to go
  9. Well you've beaten me to the college lax concepts... But this is a gorgeous uniform.
  10. A team that never quite got off the ground, but as their league started to collapse around them, they just never really got it together. From a branding aspect however, one of the best in the MLL. The fireball from the Atlanta Blaze logo now begins behind the B in Blaze, set on a simple circle. Blaze LC - Primary Uniform - A much simpler take on one of their first uniforms. All MLL uniforms had a lot going on but I felt the Blaze had a lot more going on than the rest. Helmet - Black helmet with flames shooting across the sides. Orange to yellow fade on the mohawks. Jersey - The flames from the helmet move to the sleeves. Nothing crazy on the chests, college style treatment. Color uniform goes orange to yellow. Shorts - Nothing wild. Actually nothing on them at all but color. Blaze LC - Clash Uniform & Practice Pinnies: Clash Uniform - The "White-Hot" version of the Blaze uniform. The helmet turns white, same design. The flames on the sleeves slide down just a little. Wordmark goes away, in favor of a large fireball with the number in the tail. Practice Pinnies - similar to the White Hot jersey but different, vertical Blaze wordmark with the fire on the opposite side. C&C welcome!
  11. I don't necessarily see the Oilers Dynasty uniforms as dated but I don't think they should bring them back as is. You can ignore my changes to the logo as I insert yet another one of my shameless plugs. But IMHO, the Oilers should find a medium between Dynasty and Navy Blue & get rid of the yokes and orange sleeves. So the 90's uniforms minus the navy and copper.
  12. Our first entry in the PLL Expansion: the former Chesapeake Bayhawks: The logo stays mostly intact from the MLL days, this time though with more of a slate blue (hence why I didn't emphasize it with the Archers) and a warm grey, as opposed to the navy and lime green the team wore last. I also added some more legit wings to the logo, somewhat over top of what I interpreted as lacrosse strings. Bayhawks LC - Primary Uniforms - For the Bayhawks return to pro lacrosse, I didn't envision anything super crazy, even though the Bayhawks did have some pretty wild uniforms to end their MLL run. Helmets - The primary helmet for the team is the steel blue with wings on the mohawk stripe and the hawk head peaking out from around the back of the helmet. Jerseys - Like I said, nothing super wild, the wings from the logo move to the sleeves, with the hawk logo on the chest. Shorts - On one short leg, the wings are to be found, with the number above them. Bayhawks LC - Clash Uniform & Practice Pinnies: Clash Uniform - Didn't deviate too far from the main uniforms, a grey uniform, with a collegiate style treatment with wordmark/number on the chest. The helmet turns white with the blue wings on the sides. Otherwise not too different. Practice Pinnies - These were the original ideas I had for the clash jersey, but it didn't work out the way I wanted it to, but I felt it would work out well on the practice jerseys. A huge wing on the the front with a Rangers style BAYHAWKS wordmark on the top of the wings. C&C welcome! Much appreciated! This project wouldn't have been possible without the efforts of our template maestro @raysox. A little blue might have worked with the Waterdogs but with three shades of purple already, I didn't want to overwhelm the color palette.
  13. Not the best image, but I was on the fence about the new SCF Branding, but after seeing throughout the playoffs, I'm a big fan, especially the patches on the jerseys.
  14. The whole BIG has been fantastic! Only thing I'm not sure about is the black stripes on the purple for Northwestern and vice versa. It just doesn't have a lot of contrast.
  15. Our final entry of the 8 teams, probably the best team in the PLL's short history: the Whipsnakes Whipsnakes LC - Primary Uniforms - The Whips do two things: win and look good while doing it. They have a pretty simple style working for them and there's no reason that needed to change. Helmet - The snakeskin pattern sticks around on the teal helmet, which really doesn't change at all. Jersey - Biggest thing that happens to the jersey is double stripes get added to the sleeves. Otherwise the pattern sticks around with the snake logo on the chest. Pants - The Adidas stripes go away on the sides in favor of the double stripes on the bottoms of the shorts. Whipsnakes LC - Clash Uniforms & Practice Pinnies: Clash Uniforms - The clash uniforms go all white, with the same design from top to bottom. The biggest change is the snake comes up from the bottom of the jersey and wraps around the number on the chest. Otherwise, simply the same design as the primary uniforms. Practice Pinnies - Simple as ever, the pinnies use the white jersey design, this time just subtle with the full Whipsnakes wordmark on the chest. C&C welcome. Also this isn't the end: While the PLL isn't ready to mass expand, just designing 8 teams didn't feel very fun for me. So lets play the expansion game a little bit. I picked 8 teams from the MLL, based on teams that didn't really compete with the existing teams brands, which did mean some MLL OG's did miss the cut. I'm sure some of the eagle eyed lax fans on here will be able to figure out which teams are which but let's play the surprise game as the new teams get unveiled. Fixed the tree pattern so it more closely resembles the IRL inspiration. Also after examining it closer, the Woods don't really deviate from monochrome. So with that in mind, I also dumped the forest green socks.

Also matching with what the mothership has.
  17. https://nbajerseydatabase.tumblr.com/post/630313050055065600/detroit-pistons-alternate-jersey-1999-2001 NBA Jersey Database says it was worn from 1999-2001
  18. Waterdogs LC - Primary Uniforms - The youngest team in the PLL that wasn't a former MLL team, the Waterdogs. Might be up there for my favorite identity in the PLL. Therefore, I didn't feel like anything massive was needed but some minor tweaks here and there. Helmet - dark and lightest purple for the buckets with the Waterdog on the sides, with the water pattern on the mohawks. Jersey - also the dark and lightest purple for the primary uniforms. The stripes on the sleeves now mirror the detail in the Waterdogs watermark. Shorts - no more pattern on the shorts, and the stripes match the jerseys. Waterdogs LC - Clash Uniform & Practice Pinnies: Clash Uniform - the team's middle ground shade of purple gets a run for the money this time, with the water pattern moving to the sleeves. The jersey design uses the flowing motion of the wordmark to create a stripe on the chest, that the wordmark fits in. The shorts design works similarly to the primary uniforms, just using the flowing stripe. Practice Pinnies - Got a little wild with these, but the pinnies use the flowing design and split the difference with a light/med and a dark/med color set, with the pattern on the bottom. C&C appreciated! Absolutely! and if I can get my schedule back on track, it'll get some more use coming soon.
  19. I still like(d) them. I thought it was a modern take on a classic uniform style. I wouldn't have minded if the white jersey kept the chest stripe going and the other two had it on the sleeves. The pants definitely need stripes tho.
  20. Hopefully Chaos turns it around with their Bandit players returning from NLL duty.
  21. Not every team needs a helmet with a script on it... ...But I would love to see a white helmet for TCU with this script on the side.
  22. obviously a shameless plug here... But would this have been so difficult? A modern take on the 90's uniforms? Hell it even looks decent in black and yellow (it's not highlighter but the point still gets made). No part of the rebrand is a winner. It's honestly all terrible.
  23. Redwoods LC - Primary Uniforms: The Redwoods had one of the best uniforms in the league in the inaugural season, and then the next season, they were gone. Not that their uniforms are terrible by any means, but they could be better. Helmet - A combination of both the team's helmets, with the forest-scape from the first season and the bear logo from the current buckets. Jersey - The vertical stripes turn back into the trees from year 1, with a lot of the current elements retained. Shorts - The adidas stripes go away, with a forest-scape on a leg of the shorts. Redwoods LC - Clash Uniform & Practice Pinnies: Clash Uniforms - Ever heard the expression "Don't Poke the Bear"? It would be wise to heed these words when the Woods take the field in these jerseys. The uniforms take on a lighter shade of green and a much larger forest scape, with the bear poking his head out from behind the trees. Practice Pinnies - The practice jerseys speak to the team's nickname, bearing a woodgrain pattern with on a white and brown base. C&C welcome!
  24. Anyone recognize the font used on Orioles? I feel like this should be simple but I can't figure it out for the life of me.
