Right on. These were designed to go along the monument wordmarks. Recycling this font by taking away the bevels and try to match it with a totally different uniform design with regular script wordmarks is lazy and awful.

It'd be a shame if the font was at least decent...

Exactly. I've always considered the Nationals as a red team with with enough navy to make them stand out. In a sport where you got the Phillies (red with a splash of royal), Cards (red with a splash of navy) and Angels (red with a splash of navy), the Nationals felt different. When you look at the picture from fan fest, they now look like a navy team with red accents like the Braves, Indians, Twins and Red Sox. They slowly became this boring mess...

The gray one looks like a fake team in a movie... Can't believe they're still keeping this number font alive when nothing else in their identity looks right with it...

Nationals new road and alt are simply awful. Worst set in MLB by far.
