I love their previous sets but knew Prime would update - these are good, but most of all, fitting. Colorado looking and feeling great on this first drive. I might be jumping on the bandwagon. EDIT: this is also another terrific reminder that the Vapor Untouchable is a far superior template than the new trash v-neck template.

DBs should be able to wear 0-9, but not 10-19. DL/LB should not be allowed to wear 0-39. Would solve a lot of numbering issues that were created by these recent rule changes. 0-19 need to be for QB/K/P. That’s at least 4 on each team. Most teams carry 6 WR and none of them want to wear 80s anymore, so now you’ve got 10 numbers accounted for. RBs, TEs, and DBs are then left to fight over the 10 remaining numbers. Off the cuff guess is that most teams have at least 1, some more, retired numbers in 0-19. So you have almost every position group on the team except OL fighting over 20 numbers, max. It wasn’t broken, it didn’t need fixed. They should have just opened 0-9 for RBs & WRs and called it a day.

For a team that historically had a very, very basic uniform, the bland part of it doesn’t bother me. And I prefer under-designed to over-designed. It’s the fact that when you go basic, you really need to nail the details, because they are amplified as the only design elements. These high school-sized front numbers are ridiculous and shows that Nike didn’t learn from the Detroit Debacle. The thing is, someone there knows better: they’ve done large numbers for Oregon and others, even with the stupid new template. So that tells me that someone in the process believes the small numbers look better. They do not. It’s one reason why UA’s jerseys look so amateur next to Nike’s.

What REALLY chaps my ass about Nike lately is how freaking small some of these uniform numbers are on the front of the jersey. They look freaking ridiculous. These are high-school sizes 8-9" numbers instead of 10" or more. And I guarantee it's because of that God-awful jersey template. BJ Ojulari is only 6'2, 248lbs and that tiny number makes him look like he's 6'8, 285lbs. It's really noticeable on the big guys but even stands out on some of the smaller skill players.

Love these, too. Would definitely support them being their full-time Away set; sad they dropped the Wolf Grey jersey.

This has always been their best look. White over Grey is also their best Away look. The only pair of pants they should wear with their Navy or White jersey are the Greys.

Once they get all of the mono stuff out of their system - may take weeks, may take 2-3 years - they’ll settle on White/Red/White/Red, along with the mock-up above for Away games, and this set will get its flowers. Anyone saying the Reebok set is superior cannot be trusted.

I think they looked good. This is at least much less offensive than most of the others combos they’ve leaned heavily on in recent years.

Maybe if they wore them with the White jerseys...

The grey pants need to come back.

These were stale at the time, but I'm coming back around on them. Change to a classic, bold 1-color number font like the Bengals CR jerse;, match the helmet stripe to the White pant stripe or just a single 1-inch Navy stripe; tinker with the yoke (or pay homage to the Oilers and get rid of it completely); then use something other than the Sword logo on the cap sleeve and these could make a great next set that could stick around forever. I would argue that White pants could also be worn with the White jersey, but there should never be a Navy jersey or pant ever again. Both their current and former uniforms are marred by the use of bad combinations.

BSN is not out there giving better deals. Together with the brand they’ll give an annual comp allotment at retail price and then a percentage back on overall spend, but it’s not comparable to what Nike or UA offers the big schools when handled directly.

Dude…good eye. That’s not the same shiny pant that the Cowboys & Raiders are wearing. I wonder if this is a new pant they’re adding back into the mix in 2024? Or, they had Ripon make these and it’s their template with a Swoosh sewn on?

What’s sad about these is that they’re what you guys call “catalog order” from Nike Team Sports…one of the tells is the cap sleeve. It’s a sublimated panel. It always stands out most when used on a black uniform because it has a slight sheen to it, and because it’s a different fabric, it doesn’t keep the same shape as the standard cap sleeve fabric that matches the body of the jersey. I’ve always hated this. Those new Utah State unis are “catalog order”, too. This is the kind of stuff that BSN and other team dealers can deliver. Shocked to see Nike putting it on these schools, unless they’ve dumped them off onto BSN, too.

Oh my stars & garters. These are an instant classic. The corrected helmet logo with that uniform is just stunning. Big one-color block numbers 4 life. Bravo to whoever did this.

I’m anxious now to see them live in all-White and all-Black. Those are going to be their best looks. Any way you cut it, these are better than the retired Reebok piping set.

It’ll still be better than this used tampon look. I think real soon they’ll realized White/Red/White looks great and they’ll go that way the majority of the time. Red socks would obviously look better but if it means they wear White socks, I’ll take it.

Patriots vs Texans tonight looked awful. Patriots need Grey pants to wear with Navy jerseys in the worst way. Did I see somewhere they were coming this year? Texans makeover can’t come soon enough.
