  1. Some more logo competition wrap up. These were the entries for the Memorial Day Classic Logo Competition, which actually wrapped up about a month ago. Entry 1 Entry 2 The competition itself ended in kind of a tie (I say kind of, because 1 vote was ambiguous). So entry 1 won for 2022, and the designer of entry 2 will be designing the logo for the Memorial Day Classic for 2023, which will take place in Dallas.
  2. Here's a fun one; the complete history of the Tennessee Oilers. There were two base fields for the Oilers, when the played in Memphis in 1997, then Nashville in 1998. There were some minor changes throughout the season to each field, and the entire set of fields can be seen on the Titans fields page on the Gridiron fields database here: https://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/controller/controller.php?action=view-team-all&team_id=TEN&city=Tennessee&name=Titans Memphis 1997 For most games in 1997, the college markings were visible on the field, but in weeks 1 and 8, they were not present. Nashville 1998 For most games, the college numbers were visible, showing darker than the normal turf color (as shown bellow). In week 12, the numbers were lighter than the turf (looks like faded paint). In weeks 14 and 17, the college numbers were no longer visible.
  3. The biggest change to any field this weekend was in Washington. The NFL logo at midfield was replaced by the Washington Football Team logo. The endzones also used a digital camo design in WASHINGTON. Both endzones used the same pattern.
  4. Panthers at Giants December 27, 2009 Final Giants home game at Giants stadium
  5. Houston Texans 2002-2007 I've just wrapped up the complete set of Texans fields from 2002, through this season so far, by getting through 2002-2007. The full set of Texans fields are here: https://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/controller/controller.php?action=view-team-all&team_id=HOU&city=Houston&name=Texans Here's some of the better ones from 2002 through 2007 2002 first game 2002 late season 2007 (this similar field style was used multiple times from 2003 through 2007, with slightly different endzone designs, and in some cases, the red stripe on the 25 yard lines and not the 20s) I also went back and updated the "R" in Pittsburgh for 2016-2021.
  6. With the 2022 GSL Schedule fully released now, here's the schedule for my team, the Las Vegas Outlaws. This is really me messing around with a schedule presentation format.
  7. This one slipped right past me, good catch. I'll update the Eagles fields from this year then. I also have a small update for the Dolphins field from last week as well I need to catch up on.
  8. As someone else said, I usually don't post here unless there's some kind of change. I've just been traveling this past week, so I'm only getting around to this now. If I don't post any fields for a week, all fields go up on the Gridiron Uniforms Database first: https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/ New York Jets @ Atlanta Falcons, London, England New Orleans Saints @ Washington Football Team The pink endzones are back again this year, but with the ribbons in the endzones instead of at the 25 yard lines, opposite the NFL logos. Indianapolis Colts @ Baltimore Ravens The Ravens brought back the black endzones, but with purple lettering with a white outline for this season (last year the lettering was also black with just white outlines)
  9. The GSL just held its latest competition, for creating the 2022 All-Star Game logo. Here were the three entries, which the league is voting on: Entry 1 Entry 2 Entry 3
  10. 2021 Week 3 There was only 1 "new" field for week 3 (although the Rams did change their field to one they used often in 2020) San Francisco 49ers Compared to last year's field, the endzones have the old 49ers logo at the left, instead of the helmet logo. One endzone has the NFL logo, while the other retains the NFC logo. the 25 yard lines have a modified version of the 49ers 75th anniversary logo, replacing where the NFL logos were last year. 49ers 75th logo 49ers 75th field logo Lastly, midfield has a an old style helmet, with the old 49ers logo. There's also some minor things that look to be "wrong" in the helmet's facemask, up in the upper section. There was extra gray below the top of the facemask that should be gold, and the middle segment within the helmet of the facemask is just gray, when there should be some helmet gold showing below it there as well. We'll see if these things get fixed at any point during the season.
  11. 2021 Week 2 Only a couple new fields this. Carolina Panthers Let's start with the Panthers, who changed their endzones from just the week before, using the larger wordmarks used from 2011 to 2019, but retaining the same color and outline from last week. Cleveland Browns Similar design to last year, but, old school helmet replaces the Browns helmet logo from last year, and the AFC logo from last year is replaced by the 1946 anniversary logo. Next week, should expect to see the 49ers throw things back a little bit with their 75th anniversary being this year as well.
  12. Here's a fun one that I forgot to put together a couple years ago. 2011 Week 4 Saints @ Jaguars The directional arrows on the bottom right numbers were all facing the wrong direction, accounting for much of the Jaguars poor offensive performance that day.
  13. 2021 Week 1 I'm only posting the new fields for 2021 that we haven't seen before. The rest of week 1 can be found here: https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/ Carolina Panthers The Panthers moved to an artificial field this season (I'm personally not a fan of artificial fields). They have a very similar design to last year, except the wordmarks in the endzone are black and outlined in blue, as opposed to blue outlined in white last season. New Orleans Saints (or the Jacksonville Saints?) The Saints of course had to play their home game in Jacksonville yesterday, but the field design was close to their normal field design. The number font remained the Jaguars number font. The logo at midfield was slightly smaller than what the Saints use in the Superdome, the wordmark in the endzone had a thinner gold outline than what the Saints typically use in the Superdome. Los Angeles Rams The Rams are one team that does artificial turf right. They have used a number of unique field designs over the past couple of years, since moving to Los Angeles. The Rams certainly get the most unique field design of the weekend award.
  14. I have all the details of the Las Vegas Outlaws already written up on the GSL News Hub, so I'm just doing a copy paste job here to show off those updates. I tend to not post all team design changes for the GSL here to not clutter the boards, and mostly because most updates are to teams I don't own. If anyone is interested in getting the most up to date GSL design changes, owning a team, or the logo competitions we run from time to time, that'll happen on the GSL website, with more information about the goings on at the GSL on the GSL forum. The Las Vegas Outlaws have released some updates to their look today, with changes to their wordmark, and updates to the uniforms, while also dropping a color from their color scheme. Let's first take a look at the wordmark.Although there is no change to the wordmark on the white background, on the color background, the differences are very clear. New for this year, the outline on the black background wordmark changes from dark orange to white, while on the orange background the main font color is now white, in place of gray, which has been removed from the Outlaws color scheme entirely. For the 2020 and 2021 seasons, gray was used in the team logo, wordmark, and uniforms, but only remains in the logo for the 2022 season. With the updates to the wordmark, the Outlaws field will also receive an update for 2022.The field now uses a white outline in the endzone. Another minor change to the field is the return of a white outline to the logo at midfield, as white becomes more prominently used throughout the team’s designs. On to the uniform changes for 2022, which represent the greatest design changes for the Outlaws this coming season.Let's start from the top down. On the helmet, the only change is to the stripe, which now has a white outline, as opposed to the dark orange outline from the previous two seasons. The jersey and socks also see the same changes to the striping pattern. The stripes anywhere on the new uniforms match the outline pattern from the wordmark, as seen on the pants stripe. The number font changes to be more similar to the teams normal wordmark font, with white numerals this season to make the numbers more readable compared to years past. The addition of more white to the uniform, especially the jersey and numbers, are intended to make the uniforms pop just a little more on the field. A similar change to the color jersey numbers has also taken place in Los Angeles this season, which falls under the ARS Designs manufacturer for 2022, while the team is in search of a new owner. Next, we get to the cleats, which for the most part will be white this season, with the exception of the two black on black uniform sets the Outlaws will be rolling out this season. Lastly, as for all team uniform sets manufactured under ARS Designs, the ARS logo is seen at the base of the collar, and on the top left of the pants. The Outlaws have seven total uniform combinations planned for 2022. Ownership (well, ownership is me) is pretty pleased with the way team designs have progressed over the past couple of seasons, and think they’ve really nailed down a look that could be more long term.
  15. I've been putting off the Chargers fields for far too long. Like the Dolphins, the Chargers have many fields each year. In 2013 they had 6 unique fields. I've added 4 bellow, but as always, all the fields I do end up on the Gridiron Fields Database: https://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/controller/controller.php?action=main
  16. Here's a quick one: Giants @ Jets December 2, 1984
  17. This Sunday the GSL is holding the Inaugural Gridiron Bowl. More details about the game can be found here: https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GSL/controller/controller.php?action=news-story&story=2021-07-27-1 Here are some of the uniforms/logos/fields for the game. Gridiron Bowl logo by @logoroy Team logo/uniform designs by their respective owners: Arizona: @logoroy https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GSL/controller/controller.php?action=team-history&team_id=ARZ Norfolk: @RBronish https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GSL/controller/controller.php?action=team-history&team_id=NOR Field design and poorly photoshopped game jerseys and stadium field by me.
  18. It will be the Redemption Game moving forward, but this game is the Playoff Bowl because of the way I ran the logo competition. Of the 5 entries (https://imgur.com/a/nu62cGL) league members voted on two things: 1) Which logo was the best for the 2021 game 2) Which is the best game name, which would be used for all future games So with the winning logo being Playoff Bowl, that's why the game is named that this year, but the winning game name was Redemption Game, so it'll be that moving forward.
  19. This Saturday the GSL is holding the 2021 Playoff Bowl (will be known as the Redemption Game moving forward). This is a game between the two conference runner ups. More info here: https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GSL/controller/controller.php?action=news-story&story=2021-07-22-1 Here are the logos, uniforms, and field for the game. Playoff Bowl Logo is by me. Team uniforms and logos are by the team owners: Memphis Comets: https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GSL/controller/controller.php?action=team-history&team_id=MEM Pennsylvania Keystones: https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GSL/controller/controller.php?action=team-history&team_id=PEN And the field is by @SFCOM1
  20. Added more Dolphins fields, now dating back to 2001. As always, the full set of fields is on the Gridiron Fields Database: https://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/controller/controller.php?action=view-team-all&team_id=MIA&city=Miami&name=Dolphins Early season baseball 1996-2007 (the 1995 field is almost exactly the same, but there is a change in the field numbers) 2001 Wild Card Playoffs 2002-2003 late season 2004 Monday night late season 2008 Wild Card Playoffs (had this one before, but I updated it)
  21. And lastly, my continental league team, the Miami Cougars. The Cougars were last owned in the UWFFL by Roger Morrow, who I think came up with the original logo? I'm not sure, but I upscales and cleaned up that logo a bit, without making any major changes, because it's really good. I gave the uniforms a complete overhaul though, and removed lime green accents. Full sized image link: https://i.imgur.com/kLv4r9h.png
  22. On to my Premier league team, the Vancouver Seawolves. I completely overhauled and rebranded this team when I took it over. Originally the Seawolves mascot was an Orca, and the colors were red and green. Full sized image link: https://i.imgur.com/SAYb9xH.png
  23. Well, I'll have to ask Curtis. He is still very active in the UWFFL (owns the Toronto Terror in the GSL), and made so many teams for the UWFFL. I'm not sure what the method was behind the names and colors and designs and such, but he's got a lot of good ones.
