  1. Hahaha, I love both of these! Of course, no game was played in the Metrodome, but they did play in icy conditions at the Badgers field that year. I think I've found a set of snow textures I like for now, and I can vary the amount of snow. I just have to post links for now, but here's some games: 2020 Chiefs at Broncos: http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/DEN/r1024/DEN_2020^2.png 2019 Broncos at Chiefs: http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/KC/r1024/KC_2019^4.png 2017 Colts at Bills: http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/BUF/r1024/BUF_2017^2.png 2016 Steelers at Bills: http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/BUF/r1024/BUF_2016^2.png And here's the link for the entire Week 14 of 2013, which included 4 snow games: Lions at Eagles Chiefs at (Washington Football Team) Dolphins at Steelers (crazy game that almost ended in a muli-latteral Antonio Brown touchdown) Vikings at Ravens (crazy game that had 5 or 6 touchdowns in the final few minutes, and 4 in the last 2 minutes) http://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=weekly&year=2013&week=14&league=NFL
  2. I've been doing some experimenting with adding "snow" to fields for snow games. I don't think I've perfected the method just yet, but this is what I've got so far: Lighter snow game: Heavier snow game: Still trying to get the balance down right, before I start adding actual snow fields for real games (these images are for fields for teams in the GSL). Once I get to a point where I like how the snow looks, I'll start going back through time and adding snow to fields for snow games. Right now, I can do this in paint, but I'm open to suggestions for other methods.
  3. The GSL is entering its Championship week, so I figured I'd post the uniforms and field for the game. The logo is a bit plain for the demonstration season of the GSL. For future seasons, the GSL Championship game will be named the "Gridiron Bowl", with unique championship logos, created each season by league member @logoroy
  4. Very nice! I've been dreading having to figure out this font, so I'm glad you figured it out. Interesting that they kept the 2-point conversion line at the 3 yard line (the college distance of course) for this game. One small detail that can easily be overlooked, so good catch.
  5. Here's the complete history of the Santa Jaguar (1995-2000) The hat was painted differently for each of these seasons, so it seems that the grounds crew just came up with the design on the fly each season. 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000
  6. Finally finished the complete field history for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The full history can be seen here: http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/controller/controller.php?action=view-team-all&team_id=JAX&city=Jacksonville&name=Jaguars Fields by week can be seen by browsing through the Jaguars seasons here: http://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=teams&team_id=JAX Here are some of the more interesting fields (that I haven't already posted) 1995 Week 1 1995 Week 17 (first appearance of Santa Jaguar, which lasted from the 1995 to 2000 season) 1998 Wild Card Playoffs - Oh, late 90's fonts 2004 10th Anniversary Season 2005 Weeks 9 and 10
  7. Baltimore Bluebirds So this is actually my wife's team in the GSL. I'm putting the logo and wordmark together, based on what she wants, so still a work in progress. I have to figure out how to make the bird less angry, which I think will mostly require a rework of the eye and eye brow. We may also tweak the script font a little bit, but probably not much. The blue and orange colors are based on the bluebirds we see out side here in MD. Some of the specific shades are based on Auburn Universities blue and orange (being the dark blue and the bright orange). My wife will put the uniform and field designs together, and then once I put them in digital format, I'll post those as well. Here's what we've got so far: Logos Wordmarks
  8. 1999 Jacksonville Jaguars I've been working on the complete field history for the Jaguars recently (see the rest here: http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/controller/controller.php?action=view-team-all&team_id=JAX&city=Jacksonville&name=Jaguars), but I wanted to post the Jaguars 1999 season, since it's one of the most interesting years for a team's fields that I've seen so far. Week 1 - Included the unique 1999 NFL kickoff logo for that season Week 3 - Included college hashes Weeks 6, 10, and 13 - Standard field (note that the week 11 field looked the same, but with the grass mowing pattern reversed) Week 14 - This is not the only time the Jaguars have put a Santa had on the logo. They did in 2000 as well, and I believe in years before 1999 as well; I just haven't gotten that far back yet. What's also interesting, is that the shape of the hat changed from year to year, suggesting they didn't have a template, but just free-handed the hat. Week 17 - This game was after the Gator Bowl, and in the new year, so the Gator Bowl logos were painted over black. Also, no AFC or NFL logos in the endzones. Divisional Playoffs - quite a pain to get that midfield logo down. Took a lot of cross referencing of pictures and videos. Conference Championship - Slight changes from the Divisional round game. The gray in the mid field logo was slightly darker, and there was blue at the top of the Jaguar logo, instead of black. And of course, the addition of the AFC Championship game logo, in the same locations as the kickoff logo in week 1.
  9. The Jaguars have done similar "cover ups" in the past. 1999 comes to mind as one. Here is the field from this weekend. No other major changes for week 9. This field in the 1999 season (Week 17) covered up some of the logos on the field for the Gator Bowl Jan. 1, 2000 Still working on the 1999 Jaguars, but they had many interesting fields that season. I'll post them all here once I finish the Jaguars Playoff fields from 1999.
  10. The last of the 6 demonstration teams for the GSL, the Los Angeles Express. This is by far my least favorite team, and I think for starters I'd need to re-work the logo for sure. This team will not be returning for the 2021 GSL season; I've chosen to not put the team up for sale, and just retire it. Logos Wordmarks Uniforms Fields
  11. I'm just going to second this. I'm not going to post for the teams I don't own, since, well, I don't own them, and it's not my work to share. Thanks!, and yes, all the concepts I post in this thread are my own.
  12. Next team, the Louisiana Royals Logo Wordmark Uniform Combinations Field
  13. I'll start with the St. Louis Brewers Logo Wordmark Uniform Combinations Field
  14. I'll preface this post by saying that I'm just posting logos, uniforms, and field designs here; I will not be running any game simulations here, or doing anything that resembled the old sports fan fiction forum (RIP). Just showing some teams I created as a demonstration of The Gridiron Uniform Database Simulation League (GSL). That said, I'll start with league logos: The main league logo I adapted from a league logo entry I made in Logolympiad 2017. Different parts of the league logo can be displayed together or separately, as follows: League logos can be displayed on either navy, red, gold, or white (same shades as used in the logo). On a navy background the colors in the football alternate, to be less navy heavy: I created 6 demonstration teams for the league: Las Vegas Outlaws Louisiana Royals Los Angeles Express San Diego Breakers St. Louis Brewers Washington Stars I've posted some concepts of some of these teams in the past, but I've made changes to each one I have posted, and others I adapted from past Logolympiad entries I submitted in years past. I'll start posting team concepts once I get them organized.
  15. Made the update to the Falcons field form last week: The pattern doesn't seem to resize nicely here, but looks better on the full sized image.
  16. Looked like little diagonal rectangles that gradually grow in size. Yeah, probably going to be a challenge, but once I get the pattern down, then it's just a copy past of the pattern all the way across the endzone.
  17. They did paint on a gradient, although I think the way it was done on the field is different from what I have. I copied the jersey gradient, but I think it has too much black compared to the actual field. I'm going to have to go back and re-do the endzones, and the vote logo as well.
  18. I'm getting similar issues posting images. It seems like the forum no linger accepts images with URLs from sites that do not have an SSL certificate. So images with URLs that start with http:// will not display in the forums anymore, but, URLs starting with https:// will. Can a moderator confirm this please? Also, is this going to be forum policy going forward? Thanks.
  19. Changes for 2020 Week 7 Several teams opted to add voting awareness logos to their fields. For this week we have Philadelphia, Washington, New England, Atlanta, and the LA Rams Philadelphia http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/PHI/r1024/PHI_2020^4.png Washington http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/WFT/r1024/WFT_2020^4.png New England http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/NE/r1024/NE_2020^2.png A few teams made major field changes: Atlanta, and both LA teams Atlanta http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/ATL/r1024/ATL_2020^3.png LA Chargers http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/LAC/r1024/LAC_2020^2.png LA Rams http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/images/regular-season/LAR/r1024/LAR_2020^3.png Sorry for posting links, but Chrome no longer accept images from sites without SSL certificates, and I'm not going to upload images to a separate hosting site every time I post fields. The links work though.
  20. Yes, I've done some of these fields already, but I don't like to post every field variation here, to avoid spamming the concepts board. All of the fields I do end up at the Gridiron Fields Database: http://gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/controller/controller.php?action=main And fields by week end up on the Gridiron Uniforms Database: http://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=main
  21. Some changes from week 6: The Jaguars and Vikings promoted voting on their fields. Some other teams did something similar, like the Buccaneers, on the sidelines, off the field. Small changes that I won't post here: The Colts removed the NFL logos from the 25 yard lines for this week. The Eagles changed the grass mowing pattern on their field.
