  1. Yeah, my goal has always been to make some posters for my office. Some of you might remember, but I was working on some poster style images last year, like this one: I just need a good way to get some high quality prints about 16-18 inches wide.
  2. Next 5 updates, Super Bowl XLI through Super Bowl XLV Super Bowl XLI Super Bowl XLII Super Bowl XLIII Super Bowl XLIV Super Bowl XLV
  3. Here's the next 5 updates, for Super Bowls XLVI through 50 Super Bowl XLVI Super Bowl XLVII Super Bowl XLVIII Super Bowl XLIX Super Bowl 50
  4. Lot's of good designs here. The Breakers actual jerseys are in some way close to a concept I did for a breakers team, so it's pretty cool seeing how that would look in real life. I'd say USFL Breakers did a better job then me with the helmet, and sleeve pattern for sure, but I'll stick with the pants and socks on my concept.
  5. I'm working on going back through and updating all the Super Bowl fields I have to adjust texture and color. I'll just post the updates in batches of 5, as to not spam the boards. LI LII LIII LIV LV
  6. I found a digital version of the logo, although, it's small, it's what I've got And on a field I think the colors will look better on the actual field, as my flat grass color on my field here isn't really that close to the colors of actual grass.
  7. Here's an example of some teams whose endzones would actually look better under the current endzone format. For the Ravens, this is the endzone they used at M&T Bank for years with the artificial surface. In Super Bowl XLVII they really had to scrunch things in, so this format does fill the endzone better. For the Cardinals, their Super Bowl in the old format was XLIII, and like the Seahawks in XL, they had the "city" name included in the wordmark to better fill the endzone. So the current endzone format helps them out. It certainly did much better for the Broncos in Super Bowl 50 as compared to XLVIII. Credit to @logoroy for the Super Bowl logo. This was a good chance for me to see his version on a field before I find a good image of the actual Super Bowl LVII logo. I guess another thing I should point out is, if either of these teams made the Super Bowl, the Ravens logo in their endzone would likely be smaller, and the Cardinals wordmark would likely be smaller. I would say the current endzone format is designed for TV. That's why we saw the change in the Patriots endzone between Super Bowl LII and LIII, with a smaller logo and wordmark, which gives you a better chance on TV to see the logo on the left end.
  8. You know, with the right teams, the new endzones actually can look better. But for many teams, it's going to look awkward or just flat out bad. Could you imagine a Colts-Lions, or Colts-Eagles Super Bowl? Just wouldn't look good. But other matchups I think could look good (let me try one out here in a little bit).
  9. Yeah, I'm ready too. I'm still looking for a better version of the logo, in a normal digital format. One that's not so reflective, and better represents what the loo will look like on the field.
  10. On-field logos Midfield Super Bowl LVI Logo Endzones Teamboxes
  11. Super Bowl LVI: February 13, 2022 - SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California Los Angeles Rams - 23 Cincinnati Bengals - 20 Field without teamboxes Overall, this turned out to be a great looking field. Color in the Super Bowl logos was a huge difference compared to past years. The Rams royal blue, and the late afternoon sun really made this a nice field. < Super Bowl LV First Post Super Bowl LVII >
  12. The uniform matchup was fantastic, and we did get a good amount of color. Bengals endzone could have been better, but the Rams endzone really had some good color to it. I agree, even after the sun went down in LA, the field was very vibrant. Speaking of, I'll need to go back and update a few things, some involving colors. I need to brighten the blue in the Rams endzone, and in the NFL logo, and adjust the red in the NFL logo slightly. Also, the yellow line on the field side of each teambox was 4 inches wide, as opposed to 8 inches, which I've got. Also, the turf all looked to be one shade, so I'll remove the darker shade from my field image. And lastly, I've found a good high res shot of the final logo on the field
  13. I think I've got the logo down close enough for now. I'll see if I find any better shots of the logo after the game.
  14. Made some needed updates. Resized the logo and wordmark in the Bengals endzone. Also changed the Bengals logo from what I had before. I didn't have the correct outline for the logo. And last, added the phrases to the back of the endzones. Last thing I will need to do is update the Super Bowl logo, once I get some better images of them on the field.
  15. If anyone, can get some good, high resolution images of the Super Bowl logo on the field, that in the best case, doesn't have any people, or players obstructing the logo, that would be a big help to me. @SFCOM1sent me this good one I've also found this one, but the angle isn't ideal, and just a little bit has been covered.
  16. I've noticed this too. I'm currently going back and re-doing the texture on all of the fields I have, so when I get to XXV, I'll take a closer look at some broadcast footage, and see what's generally visible.
  17. Since I started doing these last year, figured I'd throw out the pregame version of the poster style image I'll update this after the game. Again, still need to update the Super Bowl logos, add the mottos in the back of the endzones, and I think I need to update the Bengals logo (my outline doesn't look correct on the field version).
  18. Absolutely the best since XLV. I think it will look really good during the game. I do like Super Bowl XXXII and XXXVII 's logos on the field. Helped to be on grass in Southern California with that lighting. Super Bowl XXXVII was one of the earlier Super Bowls I can remember, but I can definitely remember that first drive with the ball around midfield, and how good that logo looked.
  19. Since I've gone back and redone my artificial turf texture, I figured I should test out a new grass texture. I've redone the Super Bowl LV field as a test, and I think it looks MUCH better than the old grass texture. Here are the highlights With all the changes I have to make to the directional arrows on the past fields, I may as well redo all the textures on those fields as well.
  20. Looks like more detail is being added into the Super Bowl logos. Palm trees going in the numerals, and stars on the NFL logo to name a couple of changes seen already. Shot from another angle
  21. That reminds me, I forgot to add the slogans to the back of the endzones.
  22. I always wait until after the actual game has been played, in case I have some adjustments I need to make. This one is up there as one of my favorites for sure. It always helps when the games are played in the afternoon on the west coast. Man, those colors do pop, and I hope we see that with an LA Super Bowl next weekend.
  23. I'd hope those are mostly placeholders. I don't think the NFL is getting rid of the trophy in the logo anytime soon. Interesting though that they wouldn't have the actually Super Bowl LVII logo in the program, as they usually do have next years promo in there ...
  24. I have to say, overall it's going to be a good looking Super Bowl. The natural light with a 3:30 local time start is really going to make the colors pop on the Super Bowl logos. Couldn't have asked for a better uniform matchup either between these two teams in their current sets.
