  1. Ding ding ding ding! Our whole culture seems to be forgetting this. You see it with NFL players wearing different sock colors across a team. You see it with crap alts that flagrantly disregard teams’ general style and color scheme. In the NBA you can’t even tell which team is which at first glance anymore, which is incredibly bothersome in a league whose uniforms used to be so full of color and personality. In every league that has “city edition” uniforms, those should not be allowed in the playoffs. I’m on the fence about throwbacks - Minnesota’s are awfully nice - but, generally, if it isn’t either white or a specific listed team color, it shouldn’t be allowed in the playoffs. Yes, I’m grumpy.
  2. Didn’t the Chargers kind of throw some shade at the Nikespeak when they released their current set?
  3. Jets and Browns I hope are done with redesigns for a long time. NYJ can add a Namath throwback, but that’s not the same as a redesign.
  4. My take so far: -Jets: upgrade -Lions: upgrade -Broncos: upgrade on jersey; downgrade on helmet; unknown on pants and socks -Texans: downgrade
  5. Still better than what they were wearing last year.
  6. I hope there’s at least a little bit of significance to the fact that they were introduced with blue over silver as the first combo.
  7. I don’t know if this is the same guy, but a Bronco tweet-quoted the supposed jersey leak with a crying emoji. Personally I think the jersey is an upgrade, but the helmet we have seen would be a massive downgrade if it’s legit.
  8. Probably. I’d like it better if this were on their navy helmet though.
  9. At least it’s a pop of color. Everything we’ve seen so far has had too much navy.
  10. What, a red facemask? I think that’s a plus, maybe the first for them in this process.
  11. Most obscure reference on a Nike jersey yet… Have the Broncos ever had orange numbers? Even the Orange Crush set had blue numbers on the white jersey.
  12. H-Town set looks like a t-shirt.
  13. I’m worried about the lack of white-over-silver too. Of course, when they wore that combo last year they insisted on wearing those stupid white socks. I can’t wait till the trend goes away, or at least shifts to something that looks like actual ice . I could go for a light, icy silvery-blue joining somebody’s color scheme (although if the Broncos do that as rumored, it will no doubt look awful).
  14. Three-tone green? No, they wouldn’t have ended up looking good, but I would like to see somebody do that again. The color combo worked for the Bucks back in the day.
  15. As the President pauses from his reading of “My Pet G.O.A.T.”, a charming tale about a teenaged Tom Brady’s internship at a petting zoo.
  16. Coming 2025: all 32 teams will have a “Tanya Snyder Edition” alternate, designed by the wife of the former Washington owner. They will be obligated to wear the alts in Thursday night contests. The nickname “Tanya Rush” is picking up speed.
  17. If the jersey were red, it would pretty much be a Buckeyes ripoff.
  18. I just realized I reacted to this post while trying to it. Personally I would rather ATL stay with a black helmet, but your design is still a definite improvement on what they are actually wearing. I share the concerns of the poster who found it too similar to Tampa’s set though. I think it looks like the Buccaneers mixed with one of the black alts my Ohio State Buckeyes have periodically worn.
  19. If they come out with a color-swapped brown helmet to go with their Diarrhea Runs - er, Color Rush head-to-toe brown set, I would imagine their fanbase would react in much the same way they did to the 2015 changes. It was less than a decade ago, Browns. Do you really forget that quickly?
  20. IMO that look was too unbalanced in favor of the black. Granted, that road set is tilted a bit in favor of the red, but with the black helmet and number outline and NOB and the multicolored pant stripes, it has always worked for me. The differences in color emphasis between the home and road sets make for a very balanced set overall, kind of like what the Giants have done for the past twenty-plus years, or the Texans pre-2009 (when they stopped wearing red socks on the road).
  21. That would be offensive to Congresspeople.
  22. The best option has been staring them in the face for nearly two decades. Potomac. Drainage. Basin. Indigenous. Persons.
  23. It’s a filter on the boards. As far as I know it’s automatic. It changes any instances of the franchise’s post-Braves, pre-2020 name to their current one. I don’t find it necessary but it’s in accordance with site policy around controversial topics.
  24. I get the feeling that they have one, and their current set is generally popular with their fans. But you are one of their fans; what have you heard others say?
  25. They say that too many cooks will spoil the broth; honey, I think that’s not true. Well, maybe too many cooks will spoil the broth, but they’ll fill our hearts with so much, so much love!
