  1. I've been out of the concept game for a while but my creative juices got going again so this was the first concept I put together in at least 4 years. As this is my first concept in a while I didn't want to frustrate myself making a logo or coming up with a name. So I came up with this diagonal text idea. I used a modernized classic font which I think looks pretty sharp. My original inspiration was the rugby-like horizontal stripes of the old Metropolitans jersey. But in attempt to give the jersey a modern look, I only used a two stripe pattern on the sleeves, hem, and the shoulders. I originally put together a green, red, and white palette, but that looked too much like Christmas so I switched to red, blue, and white. As I said, this was my first concept in a very long time, so forgive me as I am probably still dusting off the cobwebs. I am always open to constructive criticism so if you have any thoughts, I would love to hear them.
  2. I've been out of the concept game for a while but my creative juices got going again and decided to throw this concept together. This was inspired by the Flyers new wordmark font and their Stadium Series practice jerseys (see below). I am anticipating comments saying that it's just a recoloring of last years stadium series jersey. And I would like to counter that argument with the following: I have been a flyers fan my whole life and they have used this striping pattern on their arms for a very long time. The only difference is that there is no stripe the length of the arm connected to it. (Check out their uniform history from 1983-2007) I just had to make the top stripe a little thicker so that it will look good. Secondly, as an extension of first argument, this would be a realistic third jersey look considering their history with this striping pattern. In my opinion it is very rare that a third jersey that is completely different from anything they've done before is received well. Think of Atlanta's weird maroon jersey, Florida's baby blue thirds, basically anything Buffalo has done, and the "throwback" flyers jersey which I never liked because it just never looked like a Flyers look. I imagined a lot of different options and I couldn't imagine anything looking better than this look. I even thought about a stripe the length of the arm where the outline was the shape of the crack in the Liberty Bell, but I didn't think that would work very well. And lastly... yeah, it kinda is a recoloring of that jersey... shoot me lol. I also realize that the arm stripes on the middle image don't look symmetrical but the striping is similar to what the Flyers have always used which is a curved look so that there is no point on the outside of the arm, just a smooth line. So from the outside of the arm it will look straight but from the inside of the arm it will look curved. Lastly, I put together a possible 3rd logo below. I was always going to use "Philly" on the front but I thought this might look good on the shoulder, but I never quite fell in love with it. Also, for realism's sake, the only time the Flyers have had a shoulder patch is for a memorial or the 50th anniversary patch. So adding the shoulder patch wouldn't be a very "Flyers look." It is essentially the Liberty Bell logo from the Phillies batting practice/spring training hat with the Flyers logo on top. And in all honesty, it is a direct copy of the new Phillies logo. But I thought I'd share it anyway, so let me know what you think. I am always open to constructive criticism so I'd love to hear what you all think.
  3. Where can I download this template?
  4. I've been meaning to finish that one. I've got what I think is a good home but still trying to figure out the away.
  5. Round 3 This is one of those times where a third set would be helpful
  6. Mr. Snider Tribute Patch concept After the sad passing of the legendary founder of the Philadelphia Flyers Ed Snider this morning the Flyers announced that they would were patches on their jerseys to honor Mr. Snider throughout the playoffs. My first thought was how would they do it. The most traditional thing teams doing when honoring someone like this is use their initials and since EMS also stands for Emergency Medical Services, that might be a little weird. So I came up with these 3 options. 1) his initials, 2) Mr. Snider (the name everyone called him despite Mr. Snider hating that name), 3) Ed (The name he asked everyone to call him instead of Mr. Snider, which they never did). I also have an example on a jersey. I have always been a fan of how baseball puts their patches over their heart so that's why I placed it there and yes I realize the captains C or A would get in the way. RIP Mr. Snider

  8. Stanley Cup Playoffs jersey match-ups round 1 Now that I am finished the series I kind of wanted to see some match-ups so I made the match-ups for round 1 of this years playoffs. Notes: - I may have been able to get away with Primary vs Primary for each match up but wasn't sure if it would work so use your imagination if I'm wrong - Flyers with in-memoriam arm bands for founder Ed Snider who pass away before the playoffs could start
  9. Atlanta Thrashers For the primary I went with an idea I remember Real Salt Lake did before and a little like what Sporting KC did as well. The secondary is sort of what the Thrashers white edge jersey used to look like. I also felt like the Thrashers were kind of like one of those lower level teams that have around 10 sponsors on their shirt so I went with that idea here
  10. Pittsburgh Pirates (NHL) I tried to make this series as realistic as possible and since the soccer kits made between 1925 and 1930 were incredibly simple given the times, I made the Pirates incredibly simple as well. I went with a Monaco FC type of kit since the diagonal split they use is similar to what the Pirates used during their time in the NHL.
  11. NHL All-Star Game No real need for a description here. These are based on the actual all star game jerseys. I couldn't find the font that they used for the game so I just used the Predators font.
  12. US Soccer Copa America When a team is celebrating the anniversary of something they will usually use classic jerseys, just look at the Canadiens 100th, the Ducks' 20th, and so on. For the 100th anniversary of the Copa America, US Soccer did not do this. So I came up with this concept. The home is very clean and a bit similar to the US's 2013 kit, which was a throwback to the US's Original soccer kits in 1930. After seeing the actual away kits that the US will wear which feature red and blue split sleeves and a black base I came up with this more traditional split kit. Ultimately, with US Soccer releasing their newer, cleaner, crisper logo, I think kits like these would be the perfect bring in the new era of US Soccer. Let me know what you guys think, I set up a poll so feel free to vote. I am open to creative criticism so throw any suggestions out there. Please don't bother telling me the font looks bad because I know. I am a bit of a stickler for using the correct font and since I could not find the actual font the US will use this summer to download, I copy and pasted the font from an image and re sized and recolored it. I did do previous US Soccer concepts, the home concept I did can be found here and the away concept I did can be found here
