  1. Right now the Rams' bone jerseys are going back into storage and the white jersey takes over for the rest of the season. I want to talk about the Rams original primary designations which were shown in the release art and how they have largely vanished from the field save the blue over yellow: Home- blue over blue Road - bone over bone with blue socks Alternate 1: blue over yellow Color Rush: bone over bone with bone socks For my purposes here, I'm referring to Home and Road as "original primary designations" and all four shown combination as originally intended combinations. 2020: Out of 18 games (playoffs included) the Rams wore originally intended combinations 11 times. Of those 11, the Rams wore the original primary designations 5 times. 2021: Out of 21 games (playoffs included) the Rams wore their white alternates for 4 games, leaving 17 non-alternate games. Of which the wore originally intended combinations only 8 times. Of those 8, the Rams wore the original primary designations just 3 times. They actually wore blue over bone for as many games as blue over yellow. 2022: So far through 6 games, including preseason, the Rams have worn an originally intended combination twice, both times being the blue over yellow with zero instances (at present) of an original primary designation with both bone over bone options eliminated.
  2. Either way. With the bone jerseys going back into storage for the rest of the year, we may have seen the last of them without their originally intended combination seeing the light of day in 2022.
  3. It keeps the britches look and has the effect of transitioning from the white to gold and the gold blending into the socks.
  4. A nice feature of the original Titans helmet was the flames nearly met in the middle on the back (a bonus of the non-traditional stripe). Seeing the logo from the rear is something I like on helmets that we also see in the Vikings, Eagles, Rams, and Chargers.
  5. I generally favor 50's-60's design across sports (football, baseball, hockey) but I like to consider myself very open to contemporary trends in design. I just like to see a team pick a direction and stick to it, especially if that direction makes them unique.
  6. Yeah, I'm more perturbed by guys randomly wearing solid white socks when everyone else is wearing solid color or color-over-white. Seems like the Niners are one of the biggest offenders. I'm good with solid color socks/tights. I'm good with plain white socks/tights. Just pick a lane as a team.
  7. Right, if that's just their "We have a big game in primetime" look, cool. More power to you.
  8. I'll be honest, the neon green for Seattle has grown on me. It's just their thing and in Seattle, where its pretty grey a lot of the time, the electric color really helps. I wouldn't want that for Jacksonville, but the Seahawks, they own it and I'm down with that.
  9. I think the white jersey/pants combo is fine for the Panthers... with blue socks. If anything, that's been their signature look since the founding of the franchise.
  10. I meant that we didn't that look because that photo is from last year. Yesterday the Vikings wore all white socks:
  11. What bugs me about yesterday is that this is one of the better looks in the league and we didn't get to see it:
  12. White socks with white pants AND a dark jersey is a travesty. It looks really off balance. It's a reason I am not a fan of the Patriots 80's throwbacks.
  13. By 2027, when they're locked into a soulless dome playing on field turf, I wouldn't be surprised to some "modernization in keeping with our tradition."
  14. One more thing about the Bears uniform schedule. This photo shows the all blue as featuring the regular navy blue socks with white bottoms, not the color rush socks which are solid navy. In the three non-color rush games the Bears have worn navy over navy, they deployed their white road socks. For the record, I would be ok with the Bears just wearing the solid color rush socks full time, even with white pants. I think we're well past the days of white bottom socks for football and at least this would maintain the all important triple stripe pattern and avoid the dreaded yoga pants look.
  15. Especially if its one of the bad early knockoffs from the mid-2000's with the wrong stripe pattern.
  16. I also saw that game while I was in college, though I wasn't at a college for complicated reasons. Though admittedly, I wouldn't have been invited to an all-girl anything at that age.
  17. It's bad vibes. Nothing wrong with the uniform per se.
  18. Fine I suppose. My issue is the all navy. Bears have gotten smoked every time they've worn that set.
  19. I will fight tooth and nail that this was the best version of the Nuggets. Only had it for 2-3 years (I think) but it nailed exactly how to have a gold/powder/navy aesthetic while ensuring all three chromatic dance partners hit their steps.
  20. Remember that pants in football have used much different material compared to jerseys and socks over the last century. That fabric change has usually meant a different aesthetic, even for teams wearing white over white. The Bears have not worn white over white since Game 1 of 2009 or as I like to call it, the "Aaron Rodgers Supervillain Origin-Story" Game.
  21. I'm actually in the camp that the Vikings should go with the Pants style on the sleeve. Seeing the white pants with the purple jersey, I really does make a lot of sense and it would hold with a theme that the yellow on the uniform only ever touches purple. You can see from this image how the yellow stripe on the jersey gets a little lost. Also side note: I really want to see this with a white facemask.
  22. Been too long since that ballpark saw my shadow.
  23. This uniform is almost old enough to vote. The Chargers were wearing navy helmets and the Jaguars still had their original(ish) uniform when this debuted. It's outlasted several entire aesthetics (Bucs 2014, Lions 2009, Browns 2014, Vikings 2006, Chargers 2007).
