  1. What bugs me about yesterday is that this is one of the better looks in the league and we didn't get to see it:
  2. White socks with white pants AND a dark jersey is a travesty. It looks really off balance. It's a reason I am not a fan of the Patriots 80's throwbacks.
  3. By 2027, when they're locked into a soulless dome playing on field turf, I wouldn't be surprised to some "modernization in keeping with our tradition."
  4. One more thing about the Bears uniform schedule. This photo shows the all blue as featuring the regular navy blue socks with white bottoms, not the color rush socks which are solid navy. In the three non-color rush games the Bears have worn navy over navy, they deployed their white road socks. For the record, I would be ok with the Bears just wearing the solid color rush socks full time, even with white pants. I think we're well past the days of white bottom socks for football and at least this would maintain the all important triple stripe pattern and avoid the dreaded yoga pants look.
  5. Especially if its one of the bad early knockoffs from the mid-2000's with the wrong stripe pattern.
  6. I also saw that game while I was in college, though I wasn't at a college for complicated reasons. Though admittedly, I wouldn't have been invited to an all-girl anything at that age.
  7. It's bad vibes. Nothing wrong with the uniform per se.
  8. Fine I suppose. My issue is the all navy. Bears have gotten smoked every time they've worn that set.
  9. I will fight tooth and nail that this was the best version of the Nuggets. Only had it for 2-3 years (I think) but it nailed exactly how to have a gold/powder/navy aesthetic while ensuring all three chromatic dance partners hit their steps.
  10. Remember that pants in football have used much different material compared to jerseys and socks over the last century. That fabric change has usually meant a different aesthetic, even for teams wearing white over white. The Bears have not worn white over white since Game 1 of 2009 or as I like to call it, the "Aaron Rodgers Supervillain Origin-Story" Game.
  11. I'm actually in the camp that the Vikings should go with the Pants style on the sleeve. Seeing the white pants with the purple jersey, I really does make a lot of sense and it would hold with a theme that the yellow on the uniform only ever touches purple. You can see from this image how the yellow stripe on the jersey gets a little lost. Also side note: I really want to see this with a white facemask.
  12. Been too long since that ballpark saw my shadow.
  13. This uniform is almost old enough to vote. The Chargers were wearing navy helmets and the Jaguars still had their original(ish) uniform when this debuted. It's outlasted several entire aesthetics (Bucs 2014, Lions 2009, Browns 2014, Vikings 2006, Chargers 2007).
  14. Kinda amazing the current Cardinals look has lasted as long as it has. It debuted in 2005 and predates their current stadium.
  15. That's another What If. If Washington's ownership had changed the name to Commanders but continued the Gibbs-era uniform just used the "W" mark on the helmet, how would that had worked out?
  16. I think the Football Team is going to go down as a great "What If." There seemed to be (at least to this outside observer) greater than expected appreciation and acceptance. I wonder if part of it was that the uniforms were largely kept the same, with the helmet alone changing. Had the WFT kept going as a brand for a few years longer, do we get a Marquette Golden Eagles situation where the brand gains greater affection based on a foundation of being "better than expected."
  17. Not cool. End of the day, this is laundry. Keep some perspective.
  18. Anyone else notice that the fleur-de-lis on the new Saints helmet switch orientation halfway through the decal so they always face upwards? https://www.instagram.com/p/Ce3z8t5NBrl/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY%3D
  19. Most likely a knock off. The number fabric looks off and its definitely a poly fabric with heathered effected as commented above.
  20. It's shocking how common it is. You have be really careful.
  21. You would be shocked. Always check the seller origin. If it's not US-based with a legit brick and mortar store front, consider it highly suspect.
  22. @gosioux76 interestingly enough, the experience of being a Bears fan is very similar to drinking Malört. Shock, then enjoyment, followed by pain, and finally regret.
  23. Harold's Chicken Stadium Vienna Beef Field Portillo's Park Half Acre House
  24. Same thing as the collar details on this American Giants throwback worn some years ago: See how the collar has an extra insert with pinstripes running in a different direction?
