Oxy is officially the jersey sponsor on the Astros uniforms for the next 7 years. For those who dont know, its an oil company (Occidental Petroleum)

When the ad is bigger than the hat logo or a team sleeve patch then you have a serious problem.

Does anybody know if they wore this cap on-field during a regular season game?

I love this hat. The Mariners promoted the hell out of it back in the late 90's but I never saw it in action myself. Despite all the emphasis on the hat they just rarely wore it and then dropped it despite it supposedly being a favorite among people.

The below pic is from a 1997 game.

Rising Stars is now sponsored by Jordan so unis should have jumpman instead of swoosh.

    On Brooklyn too:

I wish the Nets just made the Coogi pattern a permanent part of their identity. The version with the Brooklyn script on the front was great and it was even better that they had Coogi patterned accessories, something I have never seen in the NBA before, usually you get solid color accessories but the Nets went all the way with a pattern.

Seeing the Lakers in gold jerseys at the Celtics’ home venue makes me want to throw up.  Ditto for Boston in black.  Please, white jerseys vs. “Forum Blue” every time.

The problem right now is that the best case scenario for the Lakers is to wear yellow as much as they possibly can. They did this to themselves by creating a non standard purple jersey. It's better looking now but it's still ridiculous.

I've gotten use to yellow on the road at this point as a result of their Statement uniforms being wrong. At the very least they will actually look like the Lakers most of the time time and that's what matters most.

Also, the yellow looks great in Brooklyn.

The college lines made the floors look like those high-school fields that have football markings with soccer lines over top of it or lax or something.  They serve absolutely no purpose in the NBA so other than to save money there's no reason for them.  They just make it look like they couldn't afford their own court.

I disagree. Having the lanes there makes it look less bare and adds contrast, not to mention it's what I have grown up watching.

Look at the Lakers  Forum court and try to tell me it will work without the college lanes. It doesn't work, the red adds contrast

In fact, here is the original Forum court. It didn't have the college lines and you can see how wrong it looks.

It also makes for better design in general. You can't just put little vertical splashes of paint and consider it a contrast, it's supported by the line itself too for it to really work.

  6. I actually like the Eagles black jersey, I just hate it with the black pants. It's a nice alternate look with white pants.

What I really want to see is them wear the black jersey with the midnight green pants again. They haven't done it since 2003 and 2004. Both times they just so happened to wear it against the 49ers and Bengals. That's quite a coincidence.

Also want to give a shoutout to the all midnight green, I also liked that.

The all black sucks though. If there's no green for the Eagles then they look wrong and stupid.

I will just never understand why the Rams reinvented the wheel instead of building around the blue and white helmet that they had when they first moved to LA.

A large majority of Rams fans just did not want the navy and white. They gave fans a choice of at least changing to the helmet and pants in a fan poll because people just didn't want to see St. Louis colors. They absolutely had to do blue/yellow.

I was willing to let it slide on the basis of "superstition" last year, but they lost at home, in white, during the postseason. Wearing white, at home, AT NIGHT, in the playoffs after all of that is just garbage. As a fan, I'm definitely not a fan.

They are invoking the Cowboys blue jersey curse. Did you really think a team that wears white at home frequently wouldn't attempt this in a Playoff game?

Head-to-toe dark blue with two-tone red accents and also columbia blue accents. And black accents, too, but only on the road jerseys. The alternate is columbia blue and also has black. The numbers have little tessellated Texas flags sublimated into them and also with a gradient, but the numbers are varsity block with a few notches in places you're not used to there being notches, so it's unique but also traditional. There are inserts that the team is oddly intent on referring to as "horn devices" but also Northwestern stripes that terminate prematurely even for modern uniform templates, so it's unique but also traditional in that sense as well.

    Does that sound about right?

Don't forget the chrome facemask for absolutely no reason.

I'm guessing the NFL will let them keep the green and grey since both jerseys are well established and have been around awhile. They might be more strict with teams who are adding or changing uniforms in more recent times

It doesn't seem impossible. Teams have 3 games to wear an alternate uniform, so the Seahawks could wear green, grey and the throwback in a season.

Truthfully the "wolf grey" is the most worthless NFL uniform ever. It's confusing to look at and they only seem to wear it in Arizona. They should axe it and have the green and throwback only.
