He held to that line while he re-signed the EA exclusivity deal for football video games, so he better.EA makes the NFL brand look cheap with how little effort they put into their game these days. Yeah sure, I play the game but it's so far behind the other sports it's laughable. The most watched sport in America doesn't have a really good video game. It's baffling.

At this point, the Yankees might as well sell naming rights to the stadium as well. If the most iconic uniform in North American sports isn't sacred from cash grabs, then nothing else is either. Rip the entire Band-Aid off and just be done with it.
What? You don't want Yankees legends like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig to be honored at Insurance Dungeon Stadium? You don't want Aaron Judge to hit a walk off homer into the Credit Pit Section of Insurance Dungeon Stadium?

All this talk of bad matchups, how about a good one? Dolphins and Bills wore throwbacks against each other in 2017 and 2018. They should just make it an annual thing.
Also that one time the Dolphins wore the white throwback on the road.
If you have a white throwback you should wear it on the road at least once per season.

I always liked the Red Sox alternate but something seemed weird to me lately and I finally realized what it is. They got rid of the piping in 2009. The piping made it work better and made it fall in line with the home and away jersey.

The Steelers have tweeted basically that same thing before and it was not a tease for a uniform then, so I don't know why it would be a tease for a uniform now.
The new jersey template would be perfect for a 1966 throwback.

Rockets Twitter stuff is now the red and yellow classic logo. Weird. If I had to guess they're gonna wear a white version of the jersey on a Summit alt court to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Finals.
They wore the red one a few years ago.
But also even if none of this is true and they are just fooling around, well, here is them fooling around a few days ago...

That stacked wordmark is amazing. You just don't see that cursive style in sports outside of baseball these days. I want that all across the baseline even though I know it won't happen.

I know the Bills red helmets were rumored to be coming this year, but I've never seen that confirmed at all, let alone any kind of a schedule. And if they do wear them, why would they do it on the road?
Devil's advocate says that they replace the 60's white throwback and go with a 90's white throwback. It was very weird they had a white throwback to begin with but I guess they could do it again?
Also, the Pats having a 90's throwback as a surprise makes no sense. The NFL doesn't do full uniform surprises, maybe a helmet surprise but not a full uniform. The 90's throwback has been talked about for years and every time it's always nothing so much like the Eagles kelly green, I'm not gonna believe anything about it until it's confirmed in a real way.
All that being said, I don't believe this guy.

Couldn’t they just slap the old logo on the helmet and do a fauxback using the current shade of green?
I guess they could but it would be kinda weird. That old green helmet had a specific flat finish. I mean they could if they really wanted to but it would look kinda weird. If it were up to me they would wear the Sack Exchange version since they already have black in their main look now. The white would stand out.

Has there been any rumblings of a Jets throwback look?
I ask because the release of the black helmet last years kind of implied that throwbacks would eventually show up and there have been plenty of throwback logo appearances, the original full plane logo and the 80s-90s logo, on the coach apparel in offseason content.
I seriously doubt it because you can only have one alternate helmet and the Jets are dead set on the black look currently. It won't happen for quite a few years.
-
That graphic shows the Saints proper throwback helmet. That hasn't been worn since 2002 and most definitely won't be worn this year since you can only have one alternate helmet and they are committed to the black one.

I've never seen this SA logo before...

Fixed Colts stripes on the new template possibly? I know it's a video game but the Colts stripes looked like they did on the left in real life for awhile.
-
I was not expecting the old logo at all. That's pretty cool.
Wasn't this implied to be a preview of the 2024 helmet a few months back? -

The Panthers designated their all black uniform as the alternate last year to use the black helmet, so its possible.
3 hours ago, oldschoolvikings said:Right. They have those stupid stripeless white pants which are technically alternates. They could just pull a Panthers and call the all white their Color Rush.
The point is, the NFL's "rules" about alternates jerseys, throwbacks, Color Rush, and alternate helmets are so vaguely written and poorly enforced that a team can just play around with the language a bit and do whatever they want. Once these floodgates were opened this was always what was going to happen.
Even so, teams literally can't mix and match their helmets. You're not going to see the Commanders wear all black then take the helmet and wear it with the white jersey in the same season. Maybe they change it it in the next season, but the point is that in season combos won't happen with alternate helmets......for now.
Do I want to see it happen? Not really. The Texans white jersey with red helmet and red pants looks nice on Madden but I don't know if I am ready for that flood gate to open.
If it ends up happening then whatever, I just want the Raiders to make it to the Playoffs man.

Team color All Star hats are the way to go. Not sure why they don't just have individual jerseys for the game and special hats, I think that would be a much better deal.

Lions with a blue helmet is as dumb as the Bears with an orange helmet however it may actually look good. The Bears one is awful but this has potential. I guess we will see.
-
The lighter orange is easier on the eyes. By the time they started wearing orange pants in 1992 it was almost too intense of an orange. I honestly wonder if the intensity of the orange was the real reason they wore white at home so much. Sure temperature plays a part but you gotta imagine a lot of players and fans around probably felt a "certain terrible way" about those colors and that logo, which I won't go into but I am sure you know what I'm getting at.
Personally I always thought the look was good but the pirate rebranding was way better.

A surprise? Are they gonna break out the 1976 creamsicle numbers? They never wear red at home so white Bucco Bruce is probably how they deal with playing 3 games in the Tampa sun.

Remember when the Seahawks forced navy pants into their look towards the end of 2009 and then in the entire 2010 Preseason? It was... not good.

First NFL team to consistently wear monochrome
I was going to say the Bills but they got new uniforms with the Seahawks at the same time. So I guess both of them were the first.
Also, this Bills look was stupid. I don't hate it completely but I think it's just stupid if that makes any sense. How are you gonna have a royal blue team logo and wear navy top to bottom? Stupid.

Broncos will be one of the dumbest teams in the league if they really have a white helmet with the all orange uniform. It makes no sense, much like the Lions one but in the Lions case the helmet looks cool. This has no chance of looking cool.
