  1. Allegiant had a lot of Broncos fans in Week 4. Everyone talks about this happening to the LA teams but it happens to the Raiders too. If the A’s continue to be cheap asses that sell off the whole team every couple years then the billion dollar Vegas stadium will eventually be empty just like the Coliseum and on weekends it’ll be filled with opposing fans. The A’s don’t have an Oakland problem, they have an owner problem.
  2. Boise State and SMU looking very similar this week.
  3. Yeah, definitely has. Maybe in an expanded pro/rel MLS but even then probably not. It's kind of a shame too, the Cosmos brand and history is so awesome and unique but meanwhile the current NYC MLS teams are just parts of larger global soccer corporations.
  4. The A's would play in Oakland until the Vegas stadium is done like the Raiders did.
  5. It'd still be cool to see the New York Cosmos in the MLS one day.
  6. St. Louis City's new stadium looks pretty sweet. I think a lot of the newest MLS stadiums look pretty similar (Columbus, Nashville, Austin, and now St. Louis) but St. Louis may be the best looking one. Cincinnati also looks great, but I think it looks more like Red Bull Arena then the other ones I listed.
  7. Seems like Texas Tech wears the throwbacks more than the regular uniforms. It is a great look though, just make it the full-time uniforms already.
  8. Houston and Dallas are 3x as big as Vegas and the Twin Cities is a more unique situation. Seems like Vegas just gets the benefit of the doubt with everything even though no one knows what the market will be like in the future with likely every major pro sports league. I doubt many other expansion cities would get to keep their Triple-A team.
  9. MLB would need to move the Aviators if the A's end up in Las Vegas. No way a city the size of Vegas could support Major League and Triple-A baseball teams. I assume Fresno would likely get the Aviators since they have a Triple-A facility but got demoted to Single-A in the MiLB reshuffling a couple years ago.
  10. Fresno State has won three football conference championships since joining the MW in 2012, the same amount as Boise and SDSU. The San Joaquin Valley is also home to 4 million people which is a larger population than most states out west including Hawaii and Nevada.
  11. New Mexico State and UTEP. Probably add a couple schools from the Big Sky too if they're willing to make the jump up to FBS.
  12. Hawaii plays in a temporary ~ 10,000 seat stadium and is one of the worst FBS teams this year. They play basketball in the Big West. UNLV football has only been to two bowl games in the past 25 years and has never been ranked in the AP Poll. The basketball team hasn't been to a NCAA Tournament in 10 years and hasn't won a regular season conference title since 2000 or a conference tournament title since 2008. I don't think either are the greatest additions, but the case could be made for UNLV based solely upon the Las Vegas market (which probably doesn't even care about UNLV sports, especially with every pro league moving there now). If I'm George Kliavkoff, I'm adding schools that bring in the most success and fan support, two things that the Pac-12 has lacked recently. Without a doubt the best three available options in the West are Boise State, Fresno State, and San Diego State. To get to 14 teams you then either dip into Texas and add SMU or you stay in the West and take a big chance on UNLV or maybe Colorado State. And all that's only if the current Pac-12 members realize they can't afford to be strict on academics anymore (highly unlikely).
  13. Go to Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, or the Central Coast...
  14. I would love for the Pac-12 to add San Diego State and Fresno State. Some of you will probably laugh at adding Fresno State but they currently have the highest average attendance in the MW, third highest in the G5, and second highest in California behind USC. The Bulldogs btw are 4-4 and lost to UConn after getting hit hard by injuries. College football may be losing popularity in much of California, but not in the San Joaquin Valley.
  15. Gonzaga going to the Big XII would be a massive L for the Pac-12 (and of course the WCC), they should have been working on adding the Zags as soon as USC and UCLA announced they were leaving. Meanwhile, Sports Illustrated is reporting that the Pac-12 and San Diego State have had ongoing communication. https://www.si.com/college/stanford/football/college-football-pac-12-and-san-diego-state-have-had-ongoing-communication
  16. Stade Louis II, home to AS Monaco, blends in seamlessly with the surrounding urban area.
  17. Stanford vs UCLA is always a good-looking game, even if Stanford's away uniforms are a little boring (I like boring though).
  18. Damn, that's a real shame. Hopefully it's Portland not Vegas if the A's do indeed relocate.
  19. Best Helmets in each Power 5 Conference and Notre Dame ACC - Florida State B1G - Michigan Big XII - Texas Pac-12 - UCLA SEC - Tennessee Notre Dame
