  1. That would be me! Watch out for LaJoie to punt someone (or get punted) this week. The ultimate sponsor activation
  2. I'd also be open to a soccer-style primary and clash system for the playoffs. Indiana and Cleveland more or less did that - Pacers wore yellow every game and Cavs wore either white or black. As long as it's consistent, I'm fine with color at home.
  3. This is the first time Columbia's ever reused a scheme, 2021-23 they made a new one every race.
  4. I've wanted to see a team try a purple/light blue/black color scheme for a really long time, and while this certainly could've been executed better I still like it. The black statement in particular is a stunner.
  5. The Magic did the same thing. Name-the-team contest, winner gets free season tickets... and then pick Lakeland Magic. They just wanted to have people talking about the team. Wow, multiple entries for Magic! If that's the best descriptor they could muster there really can't have been that many submitting it. But hey, at least they honored the free-season-ticket pledge to the first one who sent Magic in.
  6. It's interesting how a lot of concepts had orange in a more prominent role than it ended up in, and I'm fascinated by that near-indigo color they had replacing black. I see the vision there and I'd love to see a matching uniform set, but black works much better with the overall brand so it was probably a good call to shelve that idea. The silver helmet also would've looked good, but pewter was definitely the right choice, as was the shorter flag.
  7. This probably stems from different definitions of "alternate uniform." The conventional definition is anything that's not the primary home and away, but I bet in the NBA's eyes the primary uniforms are Association, Icon, Statement, and City. Anything additional, including Classic, is what's considered an alternate.
  8. Looks like Notre Dame wasn’t the only new uniform EA accidentally leaked. Seems Baylor’s got a new set as well
  9. Not many great options - I voted for Mountaineers, Black Diamonds, Swarm, and Outlaws, but I’m not in love with any of them. I would’ve voted for Mammoths and/or Yetis, but since they made those two singular for some reason they’re off my list.
  10. I'm a big fan of Mammoths, but unfortunately the trademark is just Mammoth which isn't nearly as good. Outlaws would also be fine but I don't really think it fits Utah. Of the options, Yetis would get my vote.
  11. 6 years after they went bankrupt, the BK Racing font is back!
  12. Looks good, but it doesn't really look like Iowa State to me, especially the home. In my mind they've always been red and yellow with white only being used when required, but here they're red and white with yellow reduced to tertiary. Plus the striping doesn't really fit them IMO. I'm not really sure how to describe it, it just feels off.
  13. Home Not surprised that this is the most popular one here, but IMO it's the clearest downgrade of the main 3. All they really did was take out most of the red and it's worse for it. Also some pretty odd decisions like single color TV numbers and repeating the helmet logo on the sleeves. It's fine, it's just bland, and it doesn't fit the vision for the rest of the (main) set. Grade: B- Away My personal favorite. Suffers from less red like the home, but I like the horns a lot. It's an interesting design that feels like a natural evolution of the USC stripes they've been using since day 1. Wish the numbers were still red but navy's fine. Not much else to say otherwise, solid look. Grade: A Alternate 1 It uses the same template as the away, which I like for continuity. I already said I like the horns as a design element, and the helmet is stunning. However, there are some flaws that bring it down a notch, the most glaring being the inconsistent use of white. I don't like that the horns on both helmet and jersey don't have white accents while the numbers and pant stripes do - it's one of those small details that'll badger me every time I see it. I'd also prefer white numbers, but again navy's fine. Grade: B Alternate 2 Yeah there's not much good with this one. The helmet logo is pretty bad and the red's very bright and sticks out a lot. I don't like the execution of the love ya blue either. Feels like a college "big game" alternate, and not the good kind. Grade: D- Overall I wish they'd fully committed to the away and red alternate's design. While there are certain things they could've improved on with both of them I see the vision and I think it'd be a pretty good update while keeping the spirit of the originals. But, since they didn't, the uniforms aren't "uniform" and it hurts the entire set. For almost half of their games, they'll look worse than they could've if they'd just stuck to the plan, and that's the worst part. Grade: C+
  14. The Broncos were the last holdout in not using mountain imagery. Now all 5 teams in the Rockies do on at least one jersey - who wants to bet the Coyotes make it 6/6?
