  1. That game was painful. Still, can’t expect to win a game where you turn it over four times. The Chargers aren’t terrible either. Not pressing the panic button unless they lose to the Eagles next week.
  2. Bio says he was born in Baton Rouge and played at LSU. Guy must’ve assumed that every investigator/cop is bribable per the custom in Louisiana. He was quite mistaken.
  3. Its why I think if Antonio Brown can keep his stupid ass out of trouble, he might make a great commentator. I think Gronk or Travis Kelce would as well. Why? They’re interesting. Drew Brees right now is so bland I’m paying more attention to his suspiciously thickened hairline than I am to anything he’s saying.
  4. And hopefully it’s the only time this year he plays in LA.
  5. Here’s an Athletic article regarding expansion possibilities for the Group of 5 conferences with emphasis placed on the AAC. I archived it so anyone can read it. It’s pretty good and breaks down the case for and against each prospective candidate.
  6. >Lil Bow Wow Is this the first time he’s encountered the famous Atlantan Athletic Apathy?
  7. Agree with DG about the stupid video game shots, everyone in my house was bitching about it whenever that showed up. Still, that was one hell of a game. Cleveland is the team to beat in the AFC North, prove me wrong.
  8. Even if our defense sucks, our offense scoring three times as fast as the average offense gets us back in any game.
  9. Maybe as late as 2019, but not afterwards. Barring some special cases (Josh Rosen), I don’t think you can declare someone a bust after a one or two seasons but that’s just me.
  10. Hey, am I going crazy or is CBS using some kind of video game filter in their broadcast? I had to do a double-take and make sure I wasn’t watching Madden when the game started due to how some of the shots looked. Also, get the D together, Chiefs.
  11. Hey, that monkey’s paw is going to curl whether you like it or not. People wanted equal coverage and now they’re getting it. It just happens to be the most inane sort of coverage.
  12. Goons really are the scourge of the Internet. It was also the first site to host goatse so the site producing a bunch of huge gaping buttholes was only a matter of time.
  13. And even with the WNBA being the gold standard for women’s leagues, it still pales in comparison to what the NBA makes. Doesn’t help that women’s sports is still ultimately a very niche market and that even most women understand the skills canyon that separates the WNBA and NBA. And because of the physical strength, speed and size gap between men and women that men dominate completely, I don’t think that canyon is going to close.
  14. Amazing. Mizzou leaves the SEC because we’re sick of Texas ruining yet another conference and now one of the projected ideas is to put us in the same division as them. Inviting the Southwest Conference refugees into the Big 8 was a mistake.
  15. I thought it was supposed to look like the crown of the Statue of Liberty. Also, if you need more than a few sentences to explain what a logo is, then that logo sucks. It’s a visual representation of what your organization is supposed to represent not an abstract art project. Logos and memes have similar functions now that I think about it and coincidentally, putting a ton of text into a meme makes it suck too. All that fluff just feels masturbatory to me.
  16. It would be funny and quite fitting if the masses of workers that are basically enslaved in Qatar decide the World Cup Final is when they’ve had enough.
  17. Yeah, I don’t think anyone outside of maaaaybe the Sun Belt is taking Liberty and even that is a long shot. Where do you think the AAC is going to poach members, though?
  18. Quarterback for the New England Patriots. Apparently he’s picking up the new playbook very quickly.
  19. And now it’s alleged that rookie Mac Jones grasped the Patriots offense so well that he was teaching Cam Newton the playbook. If this is true, its no wonder why Newton got cut.
  20. And the very thing the PAC 12/Big 14/ACC Alliance of American College Football tried to prevent starts happening. Way to go Big 12, you’re actually going to pull through. I’m glad to see I was wrong about the alliance being some plan to carve up the Big 12. Shame it’s going to not be a power conference anymore, but it’ll certainly be better without Texas.
  21. Are the serious discussions on the part of the Big 8 or the schools themselves? The Big 8 can have all the discussions they want, but the schools they’re trying to woo hold all the cards.
  22. The last Super Bowl sucked for me but at least Brett Veach saw that display and decided that he isn’t going full Seahawks and letting Mahomes continue to get clobbered. I have to find a silver lining somewhere.
  23. Bills propose new 60,000 seat stadium that would potentially be ready by 2027 From the sounds of it, it sounds like they’re trying to do Lumen Field but WITH SNOW.
  24. Yeah, didn’t they basically try to make the UAB program “willingly disband” about a decade ago and the guy who made that decision was Bear Bryant’s son? I swear I’m not making that last part up either. EDIT: Here’s an interesting article about the allegations that Bear Bryant Jr. was responsible for initially trying to kill potential competition to Tuscaloosa in the cradle Article does make the argument that it probably wasn’t Bear Bryant Jr. but the fact that it was the son of Alabama’s (now probably 2nd) greatest coach didn’t help matters at all.
