    You know, there’s a horrifying feeling growing inside of me. Maybe part of why that degenerate was able to get away with molesting boys was that he wasn’t alone. Graham James is the most famous case of this, but I wonder just how many pedos there are in hockey, especially in Canada where it’s the most popular religion.

    Only if there is consistent pressure and not just from DC but also from advertisers, sponsors, etc. Realistically? I don’t really see anyone who has the power to do anything actually caring about this beyond a couple weeks if even that due to the 24 hour news cycle as some new outrage wherever shows up.

    I take back what I said about an orangutan being a better defensive coordinator than Steve Spagnuolo. Now, it is clear that a mentally exceptional orangutan could do a better job than Spags or whoever is teaching ballhandling skills. I apologize to the normal functioning orangutans for comparing them to Spags.

    Alright, here’s why HBCUs will NEVER make the jump to FBS and frankly why they shouldn’t. Outside of Howard at over $700,000,000, none of the HBCUs have the endowments (aka financial support) to compete with FBS schools. That’s why they’re at the FCS level. I think having people like Deion Sanders coaching HBCUs is a step in the right direction to potentially being able to compete at an FBS level, but that is decades away if it’s even a possibility.

    Considering the neo-Big East’s emphasis is on college basketball, I’d say that should be where Wichita State goes. That and the ready-made rivalry with Creighton.

    Chief of Kansas City Patrick Mahomes wants an NBA team here. As for the name, my personal view of any tornado-themed name for a KC-based team is that it’s as lazy as a team that formerly had a Native mascot choosing a bird of prey as a new name.

    Most beloved player for the WAS-skins in the past 25 years, absolutely. Seems like how Mahomes stays (relatively) humble is to look at his brother. Also, obligatory Thank God social media wasn’t much of a thing beyond MySpace when I was Jackson’s age otherwise there would be a lot more stuff I couldn’t live down.

    Well, if that is the case, then I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem if the rest of the 650,000 emails were released. But for some reason, I don’t think that’s in the cards.

    Need I remind you all that a goddamn indoor soccer team outdrew the Kings by a factor of 2 in the early 80’s? Kansas City has the college basketball hall of fame now. Failing at selling basketball here is like failing at selling football in Texas. Mahomes wants an NBA team here and unlike Vegas, we actually have an economy that isn’t based on one industry so maybe Round 2 will work out.

    After watching yesterday’s shameful display, I think the Chiefs need to go in a bold new direction. Steve Spagnoulo needs to be fired and replaced with an orangutan. Half the plays will be better than what Spags calls and the other half involves flinging feces at the zebras. No matter how you slice it, it’s an improvement. Reject Spagsanity, return to monke.

    If Texas can handle two teams in the same league, then Canada can do the same. Would actually be nice to see a regular north of the border rivalry.

    That and proving Sam Darnold’s issue was Adam Gase and a franchise named after a disaster more than anything else. After seeing what happened with Ryan Tannehill when he was coached by someone competent, I shouldn’t be shocked but still.

    SNL has sucked ass since Chris Farley died. The wrong late night sketch show got cancelled IMO. RIP MadTV.

    I’m enjoying this new ball-control offense the Chiefs have. CEH is giving me Priest Holmes vibes. Too bad the defense is on par with the Vermeil era Chiefs right now otherwise I could enjoy it more.

    Seems like the Super Bowl halftime show is more of a confirmation that it’s only downhill from here when it comes to musicians. Last time I remember a decent halftime show was Prince.

    Uh, yeah, in a league where wealth, power and fame intersect along with the very rare human specimen that can play in the NFL, you’re going to have a lot of sociopathic pricks at every level. And no matter what anyone does to try and change that, it’s always going to be that way just donning a more socially acceptable face. Same goes for every industry/field where money, power and fame intersect. I don’t know, I’m with Charles Barkley when it comes to athletes and being role models.
