  1. Los Jefas de Ciudad de Kansas and Die Hauptlinge von Kansas Stadt. So, yeah, how the hell did the Rams get such a great bit of coverage internationally is what I want to know.
  2. Makes me wonder what they’re going to do after the last 2 matchups combined ended up being a 89-23 Chiefs victory. They should consider circling the wagons before circling the stadium or stomping on the logo. I frankly never got the whole “rivalry” thing with the Raiders considering that they’ve been a nuisance for most of my life.
  3. I like the old Scouts jerseys. In 2021, however, you’d have to be on hallucinogens to think they’d bring back a uniform from a team that failed after 2 years. And that’s not even getting into any other issues such a uniform would have that would be verboten for me to explain further on. Quebec City makes the most sense, but this is the NHL. If Phoenix can’t work and Houston appears to be falling through? Well…. And the funny thing is? Kansas City has all those issues @the admiral mentioned with Houston and Phoenix other than the transplants along with Kansas City being a much smaller market. But again, it’s the NHL. They’ll probably do this anyway over Quebec City if they can find someone stupid enough to put a team in Kansas City.
  4. Yeah, the people owning the Coyotes are some crazy mother:censored:ers if they think they’ll still be in Phoenix next year.
  5. And that’s why it’s going to probably wind up in Houston. On a surface-level economic analysis, it makes sense. Houston is the New York of the South and Quebec City was only bigger than Green Bay as far as Big 4 markets went by 1994. On paper, even if hockey is behind the Houston Dynamos, there will still be more fans of the Houston Coyotes or whatever they wind up being called over the Newdiques no matter how fervent that fanbase will be. Also, there’s a big elephant that the Nordiques logo totally looks like in the room. Quebec City is virtually monolingual in French. It’s why Eric Lindros demanded a trade from Quebec when he was drafted. Now, having a salary cap is going to make the Newdiques a more sustainable situation than last time but the small market and the language barrier will be there no matter how rich Quebecor is. As far as Kansas City? The closest we’re going to get to that is if Lamar Hunt Jr decides to buy the team in bankruptcy court because he balked at the price of an expansion team back in 2017. And if Houston completely falls through.
  6. Vikings up 23-0 at the half and I’m surprised it’s that close so far.
  7. Kansas City would function better as an AHL market right now over an NHL one. Plus, with Mahomes wanting an NBA team in Kansas City? Guy brought Whataburger up here after wanting it so I give it 5 years before the Pelicans or Grizzlies end up here because he and a like-minded group of billionaires want it. I’m betting Houston is the first choice and Quebec City if they can’t find anyone in Houston.
  8. The fact that it was allegedly “human error” raises even more questions. How do you forget to pay the bills needed to keep the city from impounding your own arena? How long before the players have to race each other to the bank like they’re the San Antonio Gunslingers ice show? I bet the NHL is running this team by February.
  9. Kind of hard to be a good ally of Latinx (or just say Hispanic like a normal person but I digress) if you can’t pay your bills on time.
  10. Baltimore goes for 4th down all the time if it’s within a few yards. I’m not surprised that they went for two. Baltimore was also down on defensive backs so there’s no guarantee that Ben couldn’t have just thrown for a TD on their first possession. You have to deliver the killing blow when you have the chance to. Although, I have to say, it’s funny how things are shaping up. All I can say is go Bills tomorrow night. You know, for “reasons”
  11. I don’t know about uniting a nation, but, he might bring back light to the Force as his name sounds like a Jedi’s. EDIT: And regarding another team in Pennsylvania, don’t you love it when the Steelers have a game winning drive at home with convenient penalties?
  12. >Chargers nearly blow a 24 point lead in a little over a quarter That has to be the most Charger-y thing I’ve ever seen. And to the Bengals.
  13. Again, who let Keith Olbermann out of the mental hospital?
  14. Okay, who is the paste-eater that thought putting Smashville on a jersey wouldn’t be cringe on the level of the Gordon’s Fisherman Isles jersey?
  15. I guess the Warriors are coming out to play this year. And by play, I mean dominate.
  16. Seems like a Soviet horror film as in America, you stuff the turkey and in this movie, the turkey stuffs you. Still, I think I’d rather watch that than the Lions game yesterday.
  17. But we rooted against the Cowboys this past Sunday! I guess second helpings/leftovers is another Thanksgiving tradition, so…
  18. Unless Gruden and that mop-headed spawn of Al Davis were in some conspiracy to deprive Oakland of a team, I’m not seeing it happen. Like St. Louis, I think Oakland just isn’t an attractive enough city to keep a team. At least with Detroit and Cleveland, you have a big enough suburban population to draw fans and money from to keep multiple teams there, but I’m not seeing it for the East Bay.
  19. True. It’s just amazing what I wind up paying for without me knowing unless some intrepid journalist blows the whistle on it. I get he’s ex-CIA, but still. I paid for this guy’s training in some way.
  20. Gotta love how Qatar was able to keep their World Cup with the help of a glowing spook. I guess the CIA wasn’t content with screwing up poor countries so now they’ll screw over rich ones too.
  21. I’d say not knowing what the hell will happen next is good for ratings anyway. If more fans are interested because their team still has a chance, then they’re more likely to buy tickets, merch, etc. And then teams make more money and thus the league makes more money. I’d say it’s better than the NBA where last year notwithstanding you could usually predict who would be in the Finals year after year after year.
  22. Reality can be a real mother:censored:er sometimes.
  23. No clue. Just glad the Chiefs got the win. Wouldn’t think it would be on timely running plays and a stout defense. Feels like I went back in time to the 90s
