  1. Fake. And considering that the numbers on the back are attached to a separate piece of material that isn't even the same color as the jersey? "Great" isn't a word I would use to describe this disastrous piece of wanna-be authentic jersey.
  2. I can agree with this. Not sure about the musician part, but I guess they would knowingly be ok with something stealing the concept work of someone here on the boards.
  3. It still boggles my mind that people join a message board dedicated to designers and designing, yet some are trying to rationalize IP Theft. It's pretty much like joining a message board about making music and then supporting illegally downloading MP3s.
  4. I highly doubt this is a Chinese counterfeit jersey, but rather just a local youth hockey team.
  5. it looks terrible indeed . i buy from http://www.weiketrade.hk and never have a problem. Too bad that site is also filled with terrible counterfeits.
  6. If I saw someone wearing this, I would compliment them on being as ass. No you wouldn't. You would get all internally angry and riled up over nothing, and then come on this site and vent about it. No, I wouldn't. If you really would be that compelled to be that much of a smug jerk, I hope the dude who's wearing it is huge. And drunk. It was just a play on what looooooooooogodude said in the last page about complimenting someone on wearing a knockoff jersey....

  9. OT: I watched this video and then saw a side video of some guy in Toronto who stabbed and killed a dog. I hope he gets a little prison time and is promptly raped.
  10. A lot of sites steal images from NHL.com, NFL.com and the like to advertise their product. The average consumer sees a good price, a somewhat legitimate-looking picture and they think they've stumbled upon a great deal.
  11. Even by numbers? Probably. Even by talent? Not a chance.
  12. I doubt that's a counterfeit. Just looks like a misprinted fashion jersey, to me. The NHL has sold that generic jersey in previous years.
  13. Site is absolutely infested with fake jerseys. Stay away if you can.
  14. Don't be fooled by the pictures - a lot of those scumbags use pictures of legit jerseys and then send you crap ones.
  15. Somebody got time? I thought we were told there is no legal issue here? I don't think there's isn't a legal issue. I think the point is that a lot of people just don't think it's a "crime" that should necessarily be given so much attention. People break the law everyday, hell, you break the law everyday, though you don't like to admit it. So speeding and intentionally violating intellectual property laws are equally as bad? I'm sure you probably think jay walking and murder are on the same page too, eh? There's a reason we have "misdemeanors" and "felonies"....
  16. The reason people support counterfeit jerseys is because they can get an expensive product at a reasonable price. Simple as that.
  17. Exactly. There are some people think it's ok to help break the law and there are some who don't think its ok. Nobody is going to convince the other side of anything. Best thing to do is just end it. Yeah, if we are going to run with the imbecilic wallet-stealing analogy, the board members who don't care would be the people who the wallet thief sold Looooooooooogodude's $500 Best Buy gift card to for $100. Or the fact that he didn't acknowledge my other point. Such is life.

  19. That's not a very strong point. I visit this site because of my interest in sports logos and uniforms, not because of an interest in trying to root out copyright infringement. They are two totally separate issues. It's possible to enjoy sports logos and not care about copyright infringement, just like it's ok to enjoy movies via bootleg, or to enjoy beer despite the fact that it has caused deaths. So you would be perfectly fine with some of your fellow board members having their designs ripped off, stolen or otherwise taken for monetary gain while they receive 0% of the profits, correct? Yes, I would. Just as they would be perfectly fine with someone doing something to me. I mean honestly, if someone stole my wallet tomorrow, and I bitched about it here, would you really give a ? Because if you did, I think you seriously need to consider your priorities. We're not really "friends" - I save that for real life. Because your wallet being stolen and people's work that they do for a living are the same exact thing. You've proved nothing in this thread. Goodbye.
