  1. Well, that's a bummer. The Falcons did AHL hockey right; low prices, cheap parking, etc. Unfortunately, they just couldn't draw because people have anything better to do than hang out in Springfield on a Saturday night. The area around the Civic Center is as dead as a doornail which certainly didn't help, but Falcons games were fun. Small venue, good prices, the works. Now it looks like I'll have to start seeing the Hartford "Nobody told us the Whalers left so we're keeping NHL prices 'round these parts" Wolf Pack skate to another disappointing season if I want my local hockey fix.
  2. It's absolutely beautiful. Every aspect of it. Anybody who doesn't find it funny will never find anything funny.
  3. That Caucasians shirt rules. Anybody who says they're offended by it is only pretending they are. It's great and the irony is fantastic.
  4. It's solid. I expect some getting used to it, but I like it so far.
  5. FWIW, I think the Colts have been doing this for a while and my favorite NFL franchise has a "16-0" banner at Gillette Stadium, so I can't Nelson Muntz the Colts organization. With that said, good job, good effort, Colts.
  6. The Shelburne Flames say hi. And that looks like crap.
  7. Not only that, but they've killed pro hockey altogether in Saint John, Lowell, Omaha, and the Quad Cities. Possibly Abbotsford if the Canucks don't move in. The world has probably left Glens Falls behind. The Flames didn't kill pro hockey in Lowell; the fact that its in Lowell killed pro hockey in Lowell.
  8. I always have a soft spot for the Falcons and wish they would draw better. They have a pretty committed core of fans and if you're in between Hartford and Springfield, the Falcons are by far the better bargain compared to the Wolf Pack, who charge as if the Whalers are still in town. I also figured the Falcons would start drawing more since they were winning. I'll never forget the vision of Bruce Landon throwing up his arms and leaving the Civic Center as the 2004 Falcons dropped another third-period lead to Lowell. Fun times.
  9. It could be wrong, but I remember hearing that Ortiz was poor fundamentally and refused to do things "the Twins way", such as sacrifice power to hit to the opposite field. Either way, the steroids had a huge role in him becoming such a star hitter. Did they really, though? I could see if his numbers slumped, but they didn't. They've remained consistent throughout his career. You can't say that allegedly using PEDs back in 2003 has accounted for his consistent power numbers since.
  10. Grand! Website could probably also use the original Hornets scripts;
  11. Not sure if it's a big deal, but the website has the home version of the original Vancouver Grizzlies uniform wordmark, but not the road version as seen here:
  12. I may be incorrect, but would the buyer be in some sort of legal trouble if they knowingly purchased counterfeit materials? Wouldn't it be hard to prove that the person knowingly purchased counterfeit jerseys unless they directly admit it? The average schlub can't point out a counterfeit like we can.
  13. Those who purchase counterfeit jerseys cannot be arrested unless there was ample evidence they planned to sell the jerseys or were making a profit from them, correct?
  14. If we want to go old school, AAO, RogerClemente and Discrimihater had some absolute stellar concepts all around in the mid-2000s.
  15. Those aren't counterfeits; they're just factory mistakes. If you found them at Marshall's or TJ Maxx, that would make complete sense considering those stores get and sell factory mistakes.
  16. I'm surprised Archie Manning didn't slither his way into this photo somehow...
  17. That Bruins jersey is "sweet" even though the color in the logo and numbers is different than the yellow in the striping? Nope, it's not "sweet".
  18. Thanks for the update, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say how concern I was that you'd get your package. I really wish they would seize more packages. From what I understand, they go after the bulk stuff more, but if they can manage to stop more of the smaller ones coming in than I can only assume it'd be slightly crippling for some of these sites. Any idea how large the counterfeit market actually is? acturally .buying counterfeits seems not illegal . but for some real poor fans .10 jerseys buying at 30 bucks for all of their family is better than one authentic one with hundreds of dolloars Wrong. If that family cannot afford the jerseys, then they can't afford them. They are by no means entitled to own a jersey of their favorite team. It's a luxury item.
  19. Third or fourth account? You really have an obsessive compulsive problem. Also, your typing gets worse and worse with every new account.
  20. Good. I hope they seize more and I hope you don't get your money back.
  21. So you don't support counterfeit jerseys, you just buy them. Thanks for the clarification.
  22. Alright, the numbers with the material are the TV numbers but I see your point. It's the numbers on the back of the jersey which are attached to the different color material and it still looks like crap.
