You are correct, I didn't see the final result of that sale, only that the XFL wanted it in May.

I think the Black on Black looks as basic and "stock" as anything could be after a White/Grey Facemask combo.  They could've at least used a different finish in order to differentiate themselves from New York.  They both have Gloss Black helmets with Black facemasks now.  If you put these two pictures side-by-side in grayscale, you'd barely be able to tell the 2 teams apart, especially with how similar their number fonts are:

Just really poor vision, planning and execution.  They are about 1 color, 1 helmet stripe, a slight number font tweak, and a different logo away from being identical.

the NFL doesn't even do this. The Bears and Steelers do have black helmets and facemasks, but on the rare chances that they play each other, one of them wears white.   Earlier this year, the Cowboys and Lions played each other, and while both have gray helmets and facemasks, the Lions wore blue jerseys and the Cowboys were in white.

The Angels have agreed to stay in Anaheim until 2050 and the stadium (along with 133 surrounding acres) to be sold to a business partnership, which includes Arte Moreno, for $325 million.

Rob Manfred right now: One down, three (Arizona, Oakland and Tampa) to go.

That's the struggle. If they've been around a long time they're called "classic." If they're new and designed to look classic they're "generic." Do you know what's generic? The Colts jerseys. Blue with white stripes, and a white helmet with a logo. And I love them. And they're clean and perfect for what they are, but if an XFL team came out with an identical kit (but, let's say, different colors), they'd be slammed as "generic."

Do you know what uniforms are actually generic? The new NY Jets uniforms. They're not even classic, they're just dull and pointless.

The Jets owner, Woody Johnson woke up one day and said "let's copy the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders!"

L.A. has something that's often desired on this board, but rarely seen: A side panel and pants stripe with matching widths and a unified design. How that holds up on the field is another story, but for now, it looks like a good attempt.

My issue is the use of the letters "LA" that is used by the Lakers, Kings, Clippers, Dodgers, Galaxy and LAFC.  They could have used a different symbol, one that stands out, that makes them different.

I just can’t believe someone got paid to design these, and that a team of people running million dollar entities approved them.  Unreal!  So many of us here could’ve done a better job in an hour.

The XFL is run by Vince McMahon, and terrible is his M.O. However 4 of these uniforms I like: DC, New York, Dallas and St. Louis

Dallas did what Tennessee and Nike couldn't do with the Titans.

When XFL folds, Nike should borrow liberally from the Renegades for the Titans. The Renegades are about a million times more colorful, attractive, and fun.

If the Titans ever look like the Renegades, they would have the coolest looking jerseys in the NFL.
