I wish someone would try their hand at using the new M logo with the constellation of Gemini around it rather than the single star.
It'd be a cool astronomical reference and distinguish from the North Stars/Wild traditions.I'm not creative enough to use the full constellation in a way that's not clunky, but what about using the two brightest stars: Castor and Pollux?

Nice little touch that the "Sea to the Stars" jersey uses the patch of CVN-65: USS Enterprise.

Could have done that anyway. The font of the TC cap and the uniforms match. The font of the M cap and Twins script match. Another yin and yang.

Senators were in the American League.

i would have loved to see a Minnesota Fighting Saints jersey, instead of 2 versions of the same thing.
I made this a couple weekends ago.

Went to the Clubhouse store at Target Field today, some things I noticed:
Pinstripes are dark gray, not sublimated.
There is indeed a white stripe below the navy stripe on the cream alt. I also saw a fridge magnet that had the same navy-white stripe on it (thought I took a picture, got home and realized I didn't). So it's an intentional choice...for some reason.
Speaking of the Twin Cities alt, in the middle left of this picture you can see the script has a white outline on it on the beer koozie. So they're not opposed to it. (Sorry for blurry picture)
Also found the use of 1901 interesting on this shirt. My recollection in the past is that basically all merchandise used 1961 as the founding date of the Twins. as opposed to 1901 as the founding date of the franchise as the Senators. Might signal that the organization is going to more actively promote that part of the Twins' history, perhaps we see Washington throwback uniforms and apparel at some point.
Which, overall, is a bit odd, considering how much of the rebrand is on the Twins being a Minnesota team (Twin Cities jersey notwithstanding). M star merch was heavily represented in the store, felt like more than the TC. The messaging seems a bit confused.

Veto. Minnesota Northern Lights just sounds like it's trying too hard, though the mascot could be named Aurora Bearealis.
Minnesota Aurora would have been a great name, but now that's off the table.

I think they nailed their design brief. Modern look inspired by (and, crucially, honoring) the past. I get the logic they used to come up with each element, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness displayed in the mothership write-up. The previous rebrand felt like a money grab by cheaply introducing a new color in the easiest way possible, and it never really felt like the Twins. This feels like a vision with passion and respect behind it.
The homes and grays are excellent. I think the cleanliness of the whites will really shine in the mid-July sun at Target Field. The understated pinstripes on the grays are a very pleasant surprise. None of the Twins' navy jerseys have ever really grabbed me, but it's nice not to have the headspoon piping. Agree that the throwback Twin Cities jerseys would have been nice in pinstripes, especially if they're understated like on the grays.
The Twins have never had matching Twins and Minnesota wordmarks, so this just continues that tradition. I like both. The TC is better than before. The M star is good in concept, lacking in execution. I think some combination of the M and STP flags and the MN state logo would feel like a proper replacement for the wonderful Minnie and Paul logo, which is the biggest casualty of all this. Glad to hear it will remain at Target Field, hope it comes back in some form sooner vs later.
Like I said last night, this is the upgrade I didn't know I want it, but it really works for me overall. Can easily see it being my favorite set overall in a few years. If Matt Wolff and/or friends are reading, thank you! I appreciate all the thought you put into this.

Also, kudos to whoever it was that spotted the serifs on the numbers being inspired by the serifs on the (I presume to be) now-outgoing wordmark.

I'd like to thank the Academy...
Final prediction concepts:
Seems all but guaranteed.
A la the old Red Sox, I think the Twins will do another color flip on the grays. But this is also possible:
Red number on the front makes sense knowing the color flips on the back. Okay for the front number to be hard to read, but the back is a very legible white.
Continue to think this is an alternate, not the City Connect.
[Baby blue uniform here]
No indication what this could be, leaning towards a more retro look with either the original script or the Metrodome wordmark.Overall a case of I didn't know this is what I wanted. Finally we ditch the worst uniforms in team history. Matches what was said about drawing from the past while creating a modern, timeless look. And hey, the last time the Twins had a rebrand this drastic they won two rings in four years...
And we'll see you tomorrow morning!

changing the front number to navy would be a welcomed change though.
Also seeing if a same color outline to thicken up the wordmark and numbers helps, I think it does.

Yes, but the text doesn't contribute to it being good or unique. It's an extraneous element that can easily be dumped.

Better than Mississippi's redesign I would say. Attractive flag.

This would be my best case scenario, re: outlines and colors.

Again going off the assumption that the pennants are indicative of the jerseys. Possible cream Twin Cities alt. Might also be the City Connect, but it doesn't seem as far out as the CC typically are.
Edit: Also, at this point I would expect a greater change to the Minnesota logo than just updating the script. Guessing Minnie and Paul will be redrawn/simplified.

I included front numbers, as it looks a bit empty without them, especially with a single color logo.

Beaten to it. Here's the picture as above:
@coco1997 your wish is granted!
Updated concept assuming the T-shirt and pennant are showing jersey accurate colors
Really like the script.- 13

I've come to quite like the stronger T with the simplified top bar. Reminds me of the Vikings update which just made me realize all the unnecessary details of the old logo. I think in five years it will seem strange to see the serifs on the old TC.

I hope they don’t go with that as the number font. It’s not a good font for sports numbers. It’s like the brewers times new Roman font they use to have.
Overall I agree, but every recent MLB rebrand has had a custom number font. The 1 looks very similar to their current 1, and the aforementioned matching serifs.
What's interesting is that in some aspects it's similar to the Wild's Winter Classic font. Compare the L's and the E's. But the Wild kept the block aesthetic versus smoothing things out. I'm sure the justification will be the smooth curves "match" the script better. -
Assuming the font in the announcement video is what they go with (which seems reasonable: compare the T's to the logo T, and the serifs on the C and 3 match the serifs on the 2009 Twins wordmark) and that Buxton isn't wearing a blank jersey and the neck is bare:
Or some permutation of red/blue numbers/script, +/- the front number. Some version of the Minnesota logo on the sleeve.

From the fabric texture and stitching I think this is the left corner of the C on the cap; TC stays and no mustard.
Possibly the corner of a name? Doubt they would go solid navy logo or numbers. Pinstripe-less white jersey.
White jersey sleeve piping.
Initially thought this was a navy script with red outlines, but the texture makes me think it's a navy alternate (also matches what Buxton is wearing in the video).
Still a question of what scripts they use and in which colors, ditto with the numbers.

(Edited to have a more apples to apples comparison)
Looks like the T has been thickened and the C definitely is squashed. I rather like the more solid T, and how the crossbar follows the curve of the C. I think this will help with the legibility issues some people have brought up before from long range. Cautiously optimistic for the rest of the set.

The Twins use a different combination of Pantone colors than every other team in the league, therefore they have a unique color scheme.
Honestly dude if you cant see the difference than I really can’t help you. This is a sports logos forum. Are you new here?
Edit: Actually, this is in a strict sense wrong, the Braves and Cardinals also use officially use Pantone 200 and 289, but they're shaded differently in other applications. So it depends.

MLS please keep the armpit side panels far away. Just because it's a different panel on the shirt doesn't mean you have to highlight it in a different color.
