  1. I thought of doing something like this myself, but I'm not sure how I would improve on anything you've already done here. I love the star numbers.
  2. I thought they wore their regular navy hats for a couple spring training games? Or did those have some sort of cactus patch on them? Either way, the more they wear the gold fronts with their road grays, the more I like it. Not only is it tradition for the Brewers to wear gold fronts on the road (I think I may actually like the way it looks more with the gray than it did with powder blue), but it helps them stand out among all the other navy teams. I like it when I can turn a game on and immediately know who I'm looking at. Those colors didn't exactly scream "Florida" to me (sorry, FGCU fans). Honestly, all they really need to do is drop navy, or at least reduce it to a trim color. Since they play in such a drab ballpark, going with bright colors like powder blue and gold is good route for them to go.
  3. Proving to the world they have more money than brains is pretty much what Lake Country does.
  4. That would work too. But the star is what ultimately ties all the different eras of Astros baseball together.
  5. I agree. This is too incredible to not base their regular look on it, and they need once since the current one is now tainted. I feel like the hat could do without the orbit, though.
  6. The cardinal looks more burnt orange than anything. Also, your shading makes the football look like a metal lime with a wedge cut out. Try making the panels with the stitching the same color, then use the silver color to shade the outer panels.
  7. Looks pretty damn good! Might we see this in silver rather than gold though? No one uses red & silver in the NFL and those are the Racine Raiders colors.
  8. I'm inclined to agree. But remember when we all complained about MiLB clubs adopting their parent club's identity en masse and called it lazy and boring? Now we have even AAA clubs with goofy ass name fly in 90s MLS (looking at you, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp).
  9. These are awesome. Phily and NYCFC could also work if done correctly.
  10. I think at most, they introduce an alternative mark based on the block M. But no way do they ever move away from the glove again.
  11. Nugs and Wolves look MUCH better! Knocked it out of the park with the Suns, Kings, and Lakers! That's exactly what I was hoping you'd do. For the Clippers, I'd recommend either swapping the colors of the stripes or using red numbers. The white numbers on the white stripe is a legibility issue. For the Warriors, make the numbers on the cable car yellow, for the sake of color balance. That's your winner for them. I get the impulse to try the 90s redesign, but it was designed to work with 3 colors and really doesn't with just 2.
  12. Except they cynically tried to pander to the Oakley/Truck dudes... only to make the Oakley/Truck dudes hate them because the only way those Oakley/Truck dudes weren't going to support anything that cynically panders to them is if it got rid of something racist in the process. It's literally the most Daniel Snyder move ever.
  13. The Sonics look AMAZING, and I can't think of a single way to improve on the Jazz, Blazers, or Thunder. That said, I think the primary color of the Nuggets wordmark as well as the wordmark and number for the Wolves need to be white. I appreciate the consistency you were going for, but legibility matters more.
  14. Love the peanut shell for Georgia! I would kind of want the peach and state outline to swap places, but even as is, you have a massive upgrade.
  15. You're on fire right now! I always wanted those black Orlando jerseys to be a thing. I'm still peeved that they ever moved away from the sublliminated stars. To me that was the perfect evolution of the classic Shaq & Penny jerseys. Now the Magic just looks bland. I was on the fence about the Heat... something about such 80s colors being applied to such a 70s template. But the more I look at them the more I like them. I loved those Wizards alts back in the day (not many people did) and I may actually like yours even more. Either way, it was just about the only instance of me actually liking a mismatched shirt and shorts. This would be a great way for them to stand out from all the other red & blue teams.
  16. For Illinois, I don't think you have to reinvent the wheel too much since all the elements (Lincoln, Chicago skyline) are already there. Although instead of the state capitol (oh, you have a dome like every other state!), use Monk's Mound if you feel inclined to represent Southern Illinois with a landmark. I was always a fan of the old New York plates that reacted to the criticism of the Statue of Liberty being too NYC-centric by having the NYC skyline on one side and Niagara Falls on the other. For Wisconsin, I would recommend using the state motto "Forward" in place of "America's Dairyland." I would love a plate based on the Milwaukee Art Museum. They rejected the idea for the state quarter claiming (surprise, surprise) it was too Milwaukee-centric, then made it a tribute to the dairy industry when almost 20% of Wisconsin lives in Milwaukee County and a small fraction of that amount works in dairy. If you wanted to work around this, maybe do the New York idea, but have the Apostle Islands on one side to represent Lake Superior and the MAM or some image of the Milwaukee lakefront to represent Lake Michigan. Otherwise, maybe a depiction of a whitetail deer in its natural habitat. It's the "other" official state animal for Wisconsin, but it says "Wisconsin" to me more than the badger does. I would just hope that if you went this route, you'd go with a dark green and cream color scheme because #FearTheDeer.
  17. The only thing Marylanders love more than their flag is Old Bay seasoning. If you're taking suggestions, I'm all for getting away from America's Dairyland for Wisconsin. It's a dying industry that fewer than 5% of Wisconsin even works in anymore.
  18. Lime green Bucks? Shut up and take my money! Also, as a Chicago resident, I can promise they wouldn't be able to keep your Bulls jersey on the racks.
  19. Packers: *Don't cut Mason Crosby* AJ Dillon: "Son of a....."
  20. Looking good like usual. Only thing I would change is your logo for the Chiefs since their fanbase spans more than just Missouri. Their original logo from the 60s would be a good place to start. Looking forward to the NBA!
  21. Catching up here..... Cardinals Update: Looks much better with less piping. I like red rad hat better with the roads, but I'm glad you included it as an option so their games against the Reds don't have to look like intersquad games. Diamondbacks (Purple): Knocked this one out of the park. I hate that they moved away from those colors because they were supposedly too 90s, but (a.) they're a team from the 90s and (b.) the Southwest is full of purple, turquoise, and copper art/decor. Rockies: Massive upgrade from what they have now. That said, I almost wish you would have dropped black completely because the purple looks so much better on its own. I would also experiment with a different font... maybe something that looks a little more western? I understand the impulse to use the C from the Colorado flag, but I still have yet to see a concept with it that doesn't look like the Cubs in purple. Dodgers: Perfect! Padres: Your roundel needs to be primarily gold to pull that off. As it is, the A and the E (especially the E) are disappearing into the brown. Also, the placket piping is too much going on along with the pinstripes. You should probably switch to neck piping or remove the pinstripes. Giants & Orioles: Not sure if emphasizing black on the giants and orange on the O's was intentional, but I like it. Even if the Giants orange alt seems to fly in the face of it. I like your version better than the real life one. Diamondbacks (Sedona): Looks good for what it is, but I really do prefer them in purple. Red Sox: I don't entirely hate your switch to blue on the road uniform since you kept red prominently featured (especially the socks), but I still prefer them in red. If you were just looking to switch something up for the sake of this project, I'd experiment with the red hat from 1975. Yankees: I actually like the mismatched NYs, but I suppose you had to switch something up for this project and they still look like the Yankees. Your recolored logo looks pretty good.
  22. Definitely looking forward to this. Curious to know if you have colors and nicknames already mapped out. Wisconsin State and Michigan International are two names I always used in NCAA Football when I wanted to pay with an original school.
  23. Nailed it once again. Definitely the creamsicles for the Bucs. That said, looking back at the Dolphins... what if you did a reverse of their white unis jerseys from the 70s so that both of the "classic" Florida teams aren't wearing the same basic color?
