A lot of sports team names are rooted in the local lingo. Dodgers makes no sense outside of Brooklyn. I had to look up where the Pacers name came from. Sounders? And people can make almost any team sound bad if they want to. You shouldn't base your team name around what it could turn into. Seeing that STL look among the rest...yea that ain't red y'all.

I just learned that the Copa identity San Antonio Flying Chanclas is being used for a collegiate team this year (pink and blue!!!). That could be a good outlet for other Copa team names.

Without the hat and scarf (?), Baylor could have a problem with it.

The eyesore to me is another damn animal logo, especially when your team is not named after an animal.
