  1. the nuggets current unis look pretty normal to me. a little bit too normal… there’s nothing wrong with them at all. but they definitely don’t stick out like how their old uniforms used to. i really do miss that baby blue. i wonder how’d they look if they just took this design but recolor it to their old colors. design wise it’s a really solid uniform. but color wise i think they’re one of the more forgettable looks as of right now… i also just wanna say how it’s absolutely criminal how nike has never made a baby blue jersey for them…
  2. i actually dig the red and grey look here. but then again i just desperately want the rockets to look different. if i saw the design of the red and black unis for the first time without the wordmark and logo i’d literally have no clue whose unis those would be. nothing about those unis feel houston-y or rocket-y. i mean i guess the shorts sort of resemble a rocket taking off. but i mean cmon now lol. i wonder how they’d look if they went for a metallic silver i think the use of metallic silver would look better than dull grey. and no i’m not counting the old yao ming days when the entire jersey itself was shiny (gonna borrow your edit here)
  3. in my opinion the court that came after was their best look to me. cool subtle forest pattern on the border, removal of the excess blue (which to me never paired well with the green and never matched their unis anyways), a sharper cleaned up bucks logo at center court, and the neat addition of the stripes under the goal. on top of all that they basically won the finals on this court. it’s a shame we’ll never see that design they won the finals with again. and that it came to an end due to some random repair accident or something. and now it’s being replaced by this. my theory is that they were under pressure to make the new court and didn’t wanna spend time repainting the forest pattern so they just decided to paint a portion of the court cream and call it a day. (and it’s irking me how it’s an uneven split)
  4. 1. i agree honestly. it’s just a shame how black has been played out so much now that it no longer has that wow factor. every team’s going dark mode. the bucks, grizzlies, clippers, and phoenix jerseys probably would have been hits years ago 2. to be fair i’ve actually noticed that lockervision’s pictures surprisingly havent been the most accurate. because any other picture of the hawks shows that their numbers are normal. but for some reason as you mentioned they are tiny. another example of lockervision being a little trippy is if you look at the clippers uniform you can see the side sail design extending all the way to the front and below the number. when the actual jersey doesn’t do that
  5. i know it’s sinful to do in the playoffs but at this point the bucks should just wear their city edition jerseys and maybe split it with their white jerseys. wearing black/green at home on that floor is like the salt on the wound of being stuck with that blue court. i mean they already wore blue in the playoffs before might aswell do it again now that you’re in a situation where it would actually be appropriate to
  6. ive always thought that the timberwolves rebranded unis were alright, just not fitting for minnesota. to me i always thought that they looked like a watered down version of the wizards. which actually isnt too bad for the wizards if they took this design. (im gonna plug in my own edit here aswell now lol) its always bothered me how much the wizards overdesigned their unis. the main design of the stripes in front is fine. but then theres a thin navy line running down the side of the jersey. which then extends to the shorts except is now surrounded with these big red stripes. which altogether is met near the end where theres a white star and below that is a navy portion. and right next to all that is the dc logo just sitting there. i hate the recent wave of "cleaning up jerseys" but if anyone needs some cleaning up its the wizards for me. but anyways i think the current color scheme for the timberwolves is great. as mentioned if they could just take the design of their city jerseys last year then that would be an amazing base design for them. update the colors and font to match the current brand and it could genuinely be a top set in the league.
  7. i think the leaked design is almost perfect honestly. its kinda got everything you need in a suns jersey honestly. good color balance (especially if you like black ) and a great callback to their iconic 90s design without being too busy. putting the suns wordmark inside the stripe is a really smart choice and good way to save space. my only thing though that the white jerseys should have the sun stripe filled in like the purple ones and that the numbers shouldnt be crooked. and im hoping the the shorts also look good
  8. wow thats actually some pretty big news. im not sure if we ever seen 3 or more teams rehaul their main jerseys in one season since the year nike took over. my predictions: - the suns. we've seen the leaks already and so this might be the year they'll come to fruition. which is great because although i really like the current jerseys ive always disliked their shorts. just because of how nike copied and pasted the same design for them and the clippers. also they get the chance to incorporate some more black now since thats what their brand has been leaning towards recently. (i know these pics are old but they're the best angle i could find of the shorts) speaking of the clippers though id really like to see them rehaul their jerseys too but i think they'll be saving that for their intuit dome season. my second prediction will go to the kings. i've always thought that they been due for a uniform change. a bit too much grey for my taste and their statement jerseys have always looked more like spurs jerseys to me. surprisingly none of them have been touched since the year nike took over and even then you can count the run time they had with adidas which i think adds another year or so) but anyways I think they could really capitalize off their recent success and go for a redesign, maybe even incorporate a beam motif and some more black to match with their court design more. (another old picture but its the only one i could find that showcases their three core jerseys. which are pretty much the exact same as they are now with a little less nike action as i mentioned earlier) as for a third prediction thats just anyones guess honestly. maybe be the pacers or wizards or something? maybe the pelicans? all three of their sets have been untouched since 2019 and that's only because the pacers had new statement jerseys come out that year. aside from that 8/9 of their jerseys have been untouched since the Nike 2017 season. and on top of that you can count the wizards and pelicans who've basically had the same design since 2011 and 2013 respectively.
  9. satisfying matchup today with the nets and sixers. very patriotic.
  10. i was confused what you meant when you said the suns were at home with a black court. but then i looked at the game and realized they have a black city edition court for their…turquoise jerseys. really ironic as city edition courts are suppose to save viewers from confusion
  11. also kinda odd that they have two different shades of orange on these unis which isn’t part of their branding that i know of.. + the fading effect which technically adds some more color. neat design but it doesn’t really align with their branding so it really bugs me. looks more like an astros jersey than anything. makes me wonder if any other teams have a jersey that doesn’t fully align with their branding (excluding city edition.) closest i can think of is the clippers but turns out they made the old english wordmark an official logo now
  12. honestly that court is probably the cleanest design we've seen in a while (not saying anythings wrong with the hectic designs of the past though) it could honestly pass as a regular nba court. which as mentioned would have made the jazz rebrand a bit better. incorporating those mountain elements and whatnot onto the court and jerseys would have made their rebrand not all too bad. my only critique is that i think they should have made the key black for a cleaner look, id rather the yellow be used as an accent color.
  13. not a big fan of the recycled side stripes directly taken from their last uniform set (whats up with utah keeping that design around so much) but aside from that these look great. replace the word rising with all, maybe tweak around the colors and you got yourself a real solid all star jersey. i wonder how it would look if they took this wordmark design but put it on the official all star jerseys.
  14. i feel like a good amount of teams would visually benefit from from college lines. for example teams with single colored courts like the warriors and timberwolves. they both had college lines and i thought it looked so much better with the bit of extra contrast (warriors especially with all that yellow and them making that college marked court pretty iconic) it also leaves room for different colored strips for even more contrast (though i guess the college lines itself wouldn’t really be needed as mentioned) but anyways i just hope they don’t remove the college lines for teams like the celtics and heat. they look really good with it. and the magic did a great move by adding them to their court. i’d like to see a team like the sixers do it next. their court could really use some contrast with all that blue
  15. i actually wish neither team wore anything city edition related for that game. or have the spurs tribute to their roots at least. for a 50 year anniversary you would think the spurs would wear the throwback jerseys they brought back this season. and not a jersey that as others have said… was most recognizably worn by michael jordan. and installing a court design that was never played on in the dome. it kinda takes the magic away especially when most of the crowd wearing jerseys and merch were in the traditional colors the bucks did it so right when they played at the mecca i wish the spurs just followed the same
  16. yea they arent too bad now that i see the other jersey side by side. missed the mark on the blue ones though. could have made them purple for the full utah theme. one jersey’s got a nice change in hue from red to orange to yellow. and then the other one is… blue to black.
  17. it’s that time of the year so here’s my all star court concept for this special occasion i’ve decided to use a much more realistic court template for the first time ever. leaving room for more designing and accuracy. as for the design itself. it definitely is a crazy fusion of black and yellow and the very prominent purple to light blue ombré. but i wanted a court to really represent both utah and the jazz team’s history. overall i felt like there was no better way to represent utah and the jazz then to add mountains and ombré everywhere. using the colors and theme that they’re arguably most known for. while also combining it with their current modern colors and font to match the game’s branding. bonus details: -i stripped the “welcome to” part of the real “welcome to utah” sign and put it near the salt lake city wordmark. -center court is a silhouette of the old snowflake logo that the jazz had -6 on top of the court to honor bill russell -the direction of the wood is a very subtle nod to the angle of the utah jazz logo. -strangely enough, this entire court concept was inspired by the (get this) Memphis Grizzlies’ twitter page i originally thought this marketing scheme was what the nba was using but turns out it’s just the grizzlies lol
  18. same old same old. wish they would take inspiration from the city they play in or the team that plays in that city. also what’s up with the hornets/hawks esque font?
  19. i actually weirdly like the incomplete stripe design. it added some sharpness and i think was sorta meant to resemble the top end of their logo. i say that because i think its what led to them going for this design for their last earned jerseys: thats just my guess. but i liked their incomplete stripes. it set them apart from all the other teams that had/have stripes running down the sides. even if it was in a sort of odd way.
  20. For the grizzlies here i of course had to start off with their signature vertical wood floor. i then added some logos that of course are edited to fit the city edition theme. city edition wordmarks on the sides and at the bottom of the court i added the pattern (had to create it from scratch) that they use on the side of their jerseys. and in the paint i added some shiny gold aswell as on the 3pt and half court lines. for the bucks it’s basically just an all blue court with a blue edited bucks logo in the middle. one thing i did though was add the pattern that they use on their city editions into the paint. i couldn’t find room to visually fit in the random-ish colors so i decided to keep it clean and keep it monotone in blue and lastly (my favorite) for the hornets i wanted to give my own twist to their current city court. i made the inside arc pattern gold instead of mint like on their real court because this year’s jerseys are more heavy on the gold. on the side of the courts i added their gold CLT wordmarks that’s surrounded by the coin ridge lines they use in both gold and mint. you can see that same pattern within the paint aswell. added some buzzcity logos and then for the center court logo i erased “charlotte” and just shortened it to “CLT” to fit with the theme more
  21. honestly at that point i wouldn’t mind if the jazz just cleaned up everything and quite literally make purple their only true color. obviously there’s some black and white and monotone shades of purple. but you kinda get what i mean. no *real* accent colors like light blue or copper. just straight purple all the way. super modern, but doesn’t lack character. to me this is the best option if they don’t wanna go old school with teal and copper
  22. its funny they're doing this whole survey thing (its a shame that its in-person only) when they already committed themselves to being a purple team from now on (or at least pretend like it.) do they still not know what their identity is? i mean maybe the options include choosing between purple mountains or purple mardi gras (the new orleans in me is cringing.) but its pretty clear that purple + mountains probably represents their franchise the best especially with those throwbacks being forced as a cover up right now. utah fans i am counting on you make a modern rendition of the mountain jerseys (they actually have one waiting to be used) and make it the base of a whole set and they're good to go. and we can forget that this mess ever happened. edit: i do wanna say though personally my favorite look of the jazz have been their red rock jerseys. but i do believe it’s best for them to just stay purple.
  23. i dont really care if the bucks want to come out with blue city edition jerseys. but it really does bother me when i see blue on their main branding. whether its the court or the three main jerseys. so small yet so bothersome. like from a visual standpoint there is no reason why a team that uses forest green and cream as their main colors should have even a sliver of blue. let alone that borderline neon shade. its so random...
  24. for the suns here i went with an all out native american theme. using native american patterns in both the the blue border of the court and the wood within. used the city edition logo at center court of course. and for the paint i actually went for the dark red color instead of orange which i planned on doing but the contrast wasn’t as strong. for the warriors i added some gradient to the border which matches the motif of their jerseys. with another big motif being the giant fading flower that i decided to put on the wood of the court. for the celtics i of course wanted to pay tribute to bill russell. at center court is a logo composed of just his name, number, and a clover. at the bottom of the court there’s 11 diamonds for his 11 rings. i incorporated the city edition wordmarks on the sides and incorporated some black to fit the jerseys. (and of course all the green on this court is a dark green that the jerseys use)
