  1. pelicans finally getting some changes to their uni set??
  2. my opinion on the heat going full time vice: i don't think they *need* to rebrand , but i definitely wouldn't mind if they did. i know some people say that it could get old quick but i genuinely do think it's a timeless look. it matches the city well and isn't too "gimmicky" like how the purple raptors and teal pistons looked. (not saying they were bad looks but they definitely weren't meant to last.) they made a nice simple court design. the jerseys design wise were simple and fit right with the modern nba. and that script wordmark just looks like it was built to last.
  3. lol been watching this sixers and raptors series and just realized i never made a court for them. so here's my take on a city edition court for them almost a whole season later. i wanted to keep the focus mainly on the navy and use the other colors as an accent. including red which on the real court is the most prominent oh and also i have at last made a celtics court to wrap up this anniversary season:
  4. watching the suns play in their city jerseys on their city edition court just never gets old. it's so pleasing to the eyes. i really wish they could go with these full time they're clearly a hit. a white version would look so gorgeous
  5. the new jazz colors have slowly grown on me. but then again it's just black and yellow it just still really baffles me how they decided not to rebrand around the redrock jerseys. everything they need minus a white jersey is already there for them. this could be their association edition keep these and move them down to become the icon edition bring these back and make them the statement edition. and then boom you have yourself a top 5 jersey set in the league the logos are already there (they could make more matching ones if they want) and they already have one of the best looking basketball courts ever.
  6. yea i haven't made one yet. it's kinda hard to make city edition courts for them because their city jerseys always already match their main court
  7. cherry blossom wizard court based off the new leak. i know i probably shouldn't start until the leaks become official and i get better looks but screw it i've been waiting to make a japanese themed court for an nba team. so this is sort of based on their current court. but i replace red with pink and used an alternate logo at center court. added some cherry blossom art on the corners and used a japanese font for the letters. also made the wizard man hold a flower instead of a ball. and last touch was making the wood stain in the arc more of a rose tint
  8. my thoughts: mavericks just looks like a desperation move. no reason they should be wearing black and white golden state looks better for a city jersey. navy's not even part of their main branding. and did they just not get a new statement jersey recently? clippers are... kinda cool? i feel like the palm tree leaf design sort of clashes with the old english style wordmark. but i guess it's better than their current rectangle logo jersey lakers looks like a pointless change. just when you thought there was already enough black on their current statement jerseys. grizzlies look fine. seems like they just changed the wordmark a bit. missed opportunity to add the MEM pattern on the arm holes though utah i don't know what the heck is going on here. could have at least made the collar yellow or add like a line of yellow on the side. maybe their shorts will be cool though
  9. seen this leak going around. don't know if any of it is true or not. seems pretty early for leaks especislly this many
  10. i'm just still so confused about this years all star jerseys. like there's an all red uniform, ok cool. but why is the other jersey grey? not only that why is it paired with teal?? what do either one of those colors have to do with cleveland or the nba? and how is it that the grey jersey gets to have an accent color in teal but the red jersey doesn't have a real accent color at all?
  11. random thing i noticed today. the bulls and spurs have a similar design for their city unis. three stripes on the side and belt and a diamond on the sides of the shorts not relevant to the current discussion, just a random thought.
  12. heres an all star 2022 court i made. inside the arcs i put a silhouette of the hope memorial bridge statues on each side facing the middle where there's a silhouette of terminal tower. and on the border i used a rock music pattern inspired by cleveland's music scene. and on top is the official cleveland script wordmarks. i know it's a pretty busy looking court but that's kinda thrown out the window when it comes to all star games lol
  13. was just about to say this. i always felt like more teams should incorporate their mascot/theme onto their main jerseys. those right there are a perfect example. another example is what the hawks *should* have done. which was to use the winged jerseys with updated colors for the main set.
  14. knicks playing on a different court design at the garden just feels so wrong. like it doesn't even feel like they're at MSG i would have thought they were playing in san antonio or something
  15. for the pacers court here i pretty much just implemented the jersey design into the court. used the old word marks on the side and the throwback logo at center court. also a return of the yellow keys for some better contrast and for the raptors i used a north facing court pattern. throwback wordmarks on the sides. at center court i remade the logo from the jersey myself. (this is what inspired my bucks court from earlier) and on the bottom there's a canadian leaf with 95 to signify their first year as a franchise. there's also the zigzag pinstripe pattern all on the border and keys. ----- well guys this pretty much tops off this seasons court series thank y'all for sticking around. i might make some random courts here and there but for the most part this is it. i'm always open to ideas though
  16. here's my take on the spurs court. the court is a mix of the old Alamodome court and the current city court. i used the old key design and sideline font. aswell as the paint brush part of the old logo for the mid court. and on top of that is a white spurs logo to match the white jerseys. and for the wizards court i did some blue and red color blocking with a touch of gold just like the jerseys. i then used the old logos and recolored them to match
  17. for some reason the kings won't be using their city edition court. which doesn't really matter cause it was just their regular court design with a different mid court logo. i think something similar happened last season and speaking of city edition courts, i haven't seen the celtics use theirs yet?
  18. here's a pistons city edition court. i basically followed what their new standard court has but recolored it accordingly to the jersey. also used the old pistons logo with matching font on the sides. and for the kings court i made it half purple and half black inspired by their old color blocking jerseys. i then put their new sac town logo (that i had to recreate) for the mid court. then i put the old style wordmarks on the sides and "1951" with a crown on the bottom to honor their rochester 1951 championship ps: there's also a subtle checkerboard pattern in the keys inspired by their use of checkerboard in previous jerseys
  19. i like this whole "city edition friday" thing that's going on. i don't know if that's an actual thing but if it's not it should be. or "city edition weekends" or something. makes the city jerseys feel more special. ps: i just watched the thunder game and them having a whole alternate court to match a colorless white uni is so pointless lol.
  20. basically i used the throwback logo but with the modern colors. used vertical wood flooring with a subtle grizzlies pattern wood stain. for the bucks i used the old logo but did some customizing to where the deer wears the bucks city uni to match, kinda like how the raptors did it (it wears 21 for obvious reasons). i then implemented the green rainbow pattern for the keys. and put more emphasis on purple on the outside.
  21. incorporated two jersey design elements with the fur on the sides and trees on the bottom. also used the old logo but with the modernized colors inspired by the statement court i added some subtle pinstripes in the keys just like the jerseys. there's also a subtle star pattern on the border too
  22. hawks did a real nice crisp job on the paint fading for their new court. unlike whatever miami was trying to do last year
  23. here's my court for the nets. wanted to use the modern grey wood but combine it with the old throwback colors. thought it'd pair nicely. also combined the old and current logo for the center court logo and here for the suns i guess is a new and improved version of the court i made last year for the suns. i used multiple fonts for the court like how the leaked jerseys did. but apparently those were scrapped
