I think the 17th game should be altered a bit. You could do crosstown or instate rivalry automatically every year like Jets Giants, Bucs Fins, Texans Cowboys. I would also suggest if not a designate rival have the game played at a neutral site and not just England. Why cant the Steelers play at State College? Or the Seahawks play in Vancouver? You could also test future potential markets if you ever were to expand like Austin, San Antonio etc.
The designated rival thing is a fun thought but it always ends up with a few obvious choices then a bunch of leftovers paired together.
Jets-Giants
Chargers-Rams
Raiders-49ers
Steelers-Eagles
Texans-Cowboys
Broncos-Seahawks
Jaguars-Panthers
Ravens-Commanders/Colts
Browns-Lions?
Chiefs-Packers?
Bears-Cardinals?
Bills-Vikings (0-4 bowl)
Bengals, Falcons, Titans, Saints, Patriots????? -
I'm not commenting on who was deserving. The Heisman has never generated less hype and interest as far back as I can remember

Clearly you didn't or you would've heard of him. Plus, whether or not you heard of a guy is not exactly the barometer for determining the best player in the country.
I heard plenty about Williams, then Penix, then Nix. Daniels captaining a team that had no expectation to win their division let alone their conference surely had something to do with the lack of hype.

The Heisman trophy has reached its nadir. I never heard this guy's name all season, and I watched a good amount of football

Blue jersey combos:Wk 1 lost in all-blue
Wk 2 won in blue/white
Wk 4 won in blue/white
Wk 5 lost in blue/white
Wk 8 won in all-blue
Wk 10 lost in all-blue
Wk 11 won in blue-white
White jersey combos:
Wk 3 won in all-white
Wk 7 lost in all-white
Wk 9 lost in white/blue
Wk 12 lost in all-white
Wk 14 TBD in white/blue
So following this pattern, blue/white will be worn next week against Dallas, unless they wear Color Rush again. And then the result of this weekend’s game at KC will determine the pant color for their Saturday night Week 16 game at the Chargers.
This is absolutely hilarious

This reminds me of the 2021 Super Bowl when the officials let Tee Higgins tackle the CB by the facemask before he caught a TD pass

This reminds me of the 2021 divisional round when the officials blew a play dead, Burrow threw a TD after the whistle, and the refs counted it for some reason

Huh? I'm not sure I've ever witnessed this.

For someone who talks like an authority on football you sure don't seem to know much about its culture

Just a friendly reminder that the ACC, Big Ten, and Pac 12 formed an "alliance" the offseason before last and voted to prevent the playoff from expanding in 2023.
And then on top of that, FSU and their fanbase has spent the last two offseasons acting like the ACC is beneath them and exploring how they can get out of the conference as soon as possible. But now the conference is better than the SEC. Sure, okay.
Poetic justice does not make another Alabama playoff run any less boring

I honestly just want the BCS back. we wouldn't be having this argument if it were just Michigan vs. Washington because, honestly, that's what it should be.
That beautiful system that put the #4 team in the natty in 2001 despite them not playing in their conference title game (which was won by the #3 team, who they lost to H2H), resulted in a split national championship in 2003, left out undefeated Auburn in 2004 despite them having a better resume than OU, left out the only undefeated FBS team in 2008, left out TCU in 2010 despite them having gone undefeated two years in a row, was even more hostile toward G5 teams, and gave us an SEC divisional rematch in the title game in 2011.

If anything, it illustrates my point even more. An undefeated ACC champion is not automatically as strong as a 1-loss SEC or Big 12 champion. If that were Louisville or Duke, would you give them as much credit as Florida State or Clemson? I’m guessing not.
Yes...?

Is there really a need for the Raiders to make a statement on a five year old Native American kid wearing a headdress at a football game? If NA people aren't allowed to wear them then who is?
No, just like there's no need for the Chiefs to make one or for anyone to expect such a thing

Why can this team wear the Creamsicles in October, but December is too hot to wear anything but white? At least they threw that crucial fire emoji at the end of the tweet.
The Bucs are a white-at-home team, it's not a temperature thing

KC's had those rules for a few years now and I don't recall any shots of headdresses or redblackface in Arrowhead since. That kid was at a game in LV, where's the Raiders' statement?
-
Titans seems generic because their branding and uniforms are directionless. The team has no real identity, so their nickname feels tacked on. Doesn't have anything to do with how many high schools use the moniker

The Los Angeles Rams need a uniform repair big time

Half a football game is zoomed-in replays and closeup shots of players standing around. The "You don't see it during the action" argument works even less than it does when people use it to defend uniform advertisements in other sports
