The lime yellowish-green is just for these kits, not indicative of a brand change. There isn’t really reasoning given for the color, other than the usual marketing speak about joy, passion, energy, etc.
I'm guessing they want to stand out and go home vs home kits when playing Seattle.

Glad to see this! I didn't make a lot of SAFC games last year and having ESPN available helped a lot.

I’m not sure if you are trying to throw some shade with this remark or not, but it’s a great practice facility for the league.
I don't think most teams would refer to their training base as their "new home" instead of their "home away from home", but I don't think this is him taking a shot at anything other than the "new home".
Also, no change for Arlington's helmets, at least it looks that the striping pattern won't change. I noticed the large amount of black helmets, I think they were late arrivals and they just got unpainted helmets for the moment.

Orlando has released their home and away uniforms. The away "Citrus Kit" and home "Phoenix Kit".
San Diego Wave with a banger!! The blue and pink jerseys are okay, but I love that "Del Sol" jersey.
Chicago Red Stars
Houston Dash
Racing Louisville (and 2024 league ball)
Portland Thorns
Utah Royals
Seattle (no longer OL) Reign
"For the first time ever, all 14 teams in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) will receive new, reimagined primary and secondary kits, featuring designs that convey each club’s rich identity.
Each team’s primary kits express their unique stories through color and graphics while the secondary kits are inspired by the strength of the collective. The pre-match tops feature a shared design created by stacking traditional team crests on top of each other, adding textures and colors to symbolically unite the clubs.
A major update this season: Nike has removed white shorts from the entire 2024 uniform lineup, responding to NWSL players who cited them as a distraction on the pitch. The match-day kits also feature Nike Dri-FIT ADV technology, which provides reinforcement, mobility and breathability where it’s needed most.
Fans can see the 2024 kits live during the NWSL Challenge Cup on March 15 and season kickoff on March 16".

The mascots for the Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics for 2026 have been introduced in Italy today. There names are Tina and Milo.

As a practice venue, this looks to be an upgrade over Eastern Michigan.
It's probably pretty close to the same seating. The Brahmas are sharing the field as well.

Everton jump up to 14th, after they gain 4 points after their initial 10 point deduction was reduced to 6.

Manchester United has started announcing some of their preseason locations and opponents. Games at Williams-Brice Stadium and SoFi Stadium announced so far. I'd expect AT&T Stadium to be another stop, since NRG Stadium hosted last year, if they are coming to Texas which I think was teased in an earlier post from them.
Chelsea and Manchester City have announced a game at Ohio Stadium. Crew fans are hoping this means one of them would be playing against the All Star team, but that's not been confirmed.

teams are using the previous XFL jerseys to help figure out uniform and equipment fix. I still expect at most they'll slap the UFL logo over these for the 5 XFL squads from last year.
former XFL teams have UFL slapped over the old XFL patches on the practice jerseys. USFL teams got new practice jerseys without the league logos.

The Renegades absolutely made the right move by putting the distinctive and well-designed R logo on the helmet (even if the previous helmet's stripe was much better)
We all know that ain't a R.

His rankings of the top 3 are flawed. San Antonio isn't top 3. We all know the Renegades are the #1 secondary hands down.
It should be the primary logo.

Yeah but I'm not going to do that. Especially since there's a native Apple Music app on Android.
Bum ass company.
Which is crazy because I have to use the Apple Music app on my Android to make changes to my Apple account when I forget my password. Hahahahaha

Isn't Fanatics getting backlash for MLB jerseys?
Yes. but they actually have more than a couple shirts and baseball caps. That's the biggest issue for UFL fans.

It's coming soon ish. Not sure exactly when, but they need grass for the World Cup.
You know what's stupid? I can't access Apple TV on my phone.
That is pretty dumb. I can't watch it on mine, but I own a Google Pixel.

That game's in LA at BMO Field.
Ok. I feel dumb. Seattle would still look better with grass.

Has Seattle switched to grass? It looks like they have a line of turf laid down in the bench area that's different from the field. I also haven't seen a whole lot of the pellets coming up like I've seen before on that field.

As long as the UFL doesn't also have a deal with Fanatics, Under Armour should be fine.
The issue for most people for the moment is the lack of fan gear.

Was UA rumored or confirmed to be the official on field uniform supplier?
Confirmed, as they were last year for the XFL teams.
There's also a picture of a Showboats equipment guy wearing a Showboat tshirt with the UA design circle from last year.

Say, when DID the NFL implement the 5-year rule anyway? The Patriots changed jerseys three times in three years from 1993-95, so I'm guessing it was after. I'm sure Goodell and his cronies would LOVE to bring that rate of change that the Patriots used to today's league, however.
In the meantime, I'm still waiting on the Commanders' re-brand...
I'd say probably about the same time Nike took over the contract.

Was the Lions current set unpopular? While not perfect, I thought it was a huge improvement over the two sets that came before it. The all-gray was the worst part, and then the blank white pants being introduced late in its life cycle also weren't great, but other than that it was their best look since the Barry Sanders era set. It was definitely good enough IMO that I'm dreading the new set, fearing that there's a reasonable chance it will be downgrade.
I'm starting to think the NFL wants to copy soccer, but can't talk themselves into swapping out uniforms every 1-2 years like soccer teams do now. That's why they have the 5 year rule, with the caveat that it can be tossed out under that time if someone else buys the team.

Don't check out MLB's new pants then . . .

Single game tickets are on sale today, for everyone except for the Panthers. They should be available next week, reportedly.

Probably not too many folks watching Concacaf Cup action tonight but I just finished the New England vs CA Independiente (Panama) match and it was Concacaf-y as hell. Chiefly concerning the broadcast, on something crash-prone called Tubi, a one-man booth of a man named George who I'm half-convinced they just pulled from outside the stadium.
His highlights included:
- Initially stating that Dave Romney is no relation to Mitt, but then changing course and mentioning four times that actually yes, he is somewhere from a third to fifth cousin, exactly which is unclear
- Repeatedly pronouncing Andrew Farrell's name like Pharrell, the producer/pop star
- Sharing his research into Panamanian soccer, including threats of an upcoming strike (again he said this four times) and that the league uses conferences, like the NBA does (not like the MLS does...?)
- Rapping Mike Jones lyrics when DeJuan Jones touched the ball, only to conclude the bar with "Ah, my rapping sucks"
- Coining the nickname "Bobby Wood, up to no good"
- Incorrectly announcing Chancalay's goal as his first as a Rev
- Sharing that he would drop his mic and walk away if his brother was substituted into the match (literally what?)
I maintain once again: MLS's efforts to kill off all the public-access vibes of the North American game are gravely misguided and need to be stopped.
Even more Concacaf-y, Cruz Azul and Leon had over 32 minutes of added time due to multiple issues with stadium lights.

Houston currently practicing with plain white lids. Not sure if it's a full helmet change or simply not handing out the permanent helmets until closer to the season.
Stallions, with a different number font on their white and gold jerseys. Standard league font on red jerseys.
