Saw some rumblings about the Titans potentially getting a new set next year. It was the first I’ve heard of it.

Did I miss a giant chain of messages here or is this some new news? in typical Twitter fashion I can’t retroactively find the post. It was listing out the 5 teams getting new uniforms next year, titans included.

It's only RUMINT at this point.

Columbus:  I had a version of the Apollos logo for CBS to celebrate John Glenn, but with Houston being the Apollos, that has been replaced.  1 logo is repurposed, 1 using OSU colors, and 1 with a possible first black helmet in the league.

You can also do a biplane logo or an old timey race car for Eddie Rickenbacker for a Columbus team.

For the Orlando team, I'm going with the Lightning.

I'm curious about anniversary patches this year. The Giants will be playing their 100th season this year, and the Panthers and Jaguars will be playing their 30th. Have there been any releases (official, not Reddit) of patches?

They'll probably be released just prior to the draft.

Random thought, but I wonder why Adidas has yet to do bespoke pre-match shirts for MLS. I know it's not their tip-top league or national team that they're the supplier for, but you'd think they'd try and grow their MLS revenue a little more.

It's especially puzzling because the special pre-match shirts that they do (i.e. Juneteenth, 4th of July, Childhood Cancer, Pride, etc.) seem to be pretty popular among fans.

I think they (adidas) don't want to put in the work. It's why they use 1-3 templates instead of the entire catalog when designing uniforms. It's also much easier to create 4-6 special one off designs that get used by everyone than to have each team have their own prematch shirts.

Now for something actually relevant to the topic at hand:

Give it 40 years and the Chiefs uniforms are going to look like an African dictator’s what with all the patches that’ll inevitably wind up on it

And here are the 49ers in their classic look. Gorgeous uniform combo!

Say what you will about a Chiefs-49ers Super Bowl but at least the aesthetics look better than, say, a Ravens-Lions SB.

Still a way to go until they look like a North Korean general.

It’s ridiculous how quickly the Texans have turned it around so far. I say “so far” because they could always turn into a pumpkin next season and be right back in the rebuild zone.

It’s weird that the Bears still finished better than several teams, especially with all the mayhem at the start of the season. Is this the season that truly made them a “perma-bad” team, like the Panthers are now and the Lions used to be?

Hopefully they can keep improving, especially since they have extra first round picks for two more years.

This has the same issues as Roma, with the double green colors not being separate enough from each other.

The wordmarks and numbers probably could use a white outline for legibility. On the maroon parts they disappear.

    Non-NFL Cities (Market Size)

    •    San Antonio (24) – Great sports town, dumpy outdoor stadium.

San Antonio should always be an option, but we have an updated indoor stadium, as well as that dumpy, outdoor stadium.

EA Sports leaked some NWSL jerseys as well. That Portland home shirt is so disappointing, if true. Did the Washington Spirit officially recolor their logo? Because they will not be wearing red or blue this year.

2023-2024 home jersey with iridescent logos.

2023-2024 Orlando Pride home jersey. At least they won't clash with Houston if they wear their primary kits.

The move towards some women's teams trying to eliminate white shorts, I think Orlando has the best group of uniforms this year, for the moment.

I’m truly curious, does anyone like the centered, stacked logo design? I’ve never been a fan.

It works for teams with smaller crests and no stars, but I'm not really a fan of stacking everything. For Miami it looks even worse because they're only using the Royal Carribean logo instead of the wordmark.

I think it's fair to say that without Mediapro's money and technical know-how when it comes to production, a cloud of uncertainty is going to start hovering over the CanPL. Unless CSB gets this figured out quickly, the continued existence of the CanPL is going to be increasingly in question.

I wonder if these teams would be better off transitioning over to the USL if the league can't take care of them. It's almost a like for like move in terms of TV/streaming and competitiveness if they have to make that change, isn't it?

Does the green on the Sounders shirt really not match the green on the new crest? If so, yikes.

Either way they aren’t getting my money as long as Providence is the sponsor.

It could be a case of EA Sports just using the previous color palette and not adjusting it to match the new logo. It could also be a case of the uniform being decided ahead of the logo change.

One of these years, MLS and adidas will move away from having to give every kit a name and it will be a great day. “We chose to add a red stripe across the shirt because it looked good” is much better than “The Bloodline Kit” or whatever other garbage they come up with.

Unfortunately that ship is staying in the harbor as long as adidas and Nike control the major sports in the United States.

After sitting on it for a day, I like it as a Charlotte fan. I like it.

The "probable" nods to the Blue Ridge Mountains as the main design. While it doesn't scream Charlotte, it always seems like the primary kit is a nod to the Carolinas as a whole and the Secondary kits is something to do with the city.

That kit is one of the few times that the requirement to have the backs be plain sucks.

He claimed last week that there's going to be a team in New York City because the Giants and Jets play in New Jersey.   Yes.....his reasoning for having a team in New York City is because the Giants and Jets play in New Jersey.

There's a reason the NFL doesn't outright crush the UFL: the UFL will allow players to leave for the NFL at the end of the season.  They won't stand in the way of players wanting to play in the NFL and the NFL knows that, so the NFL allows the UFL to live and if the UFL dies, it's not because of them.  In fact, one of the UFL coaches, Anthony Becht of the St. Louis Battlehawks encouraged practice squad players to sign with the UFL instead of futures deals with the NFL, to show NFL teams what those players can actually do.

Now, if this Major League Football blocks players from going to the NFL and blocks the NFL from signing players after the season ends, the NFL will crush his league even though he says that teams will be in non-NFL markets like Portland, San Diego, Oakland, Sacramento, North Carolina (he mentioned Durham in his week one video), West Virginia and San Antonio (among others).  If this league is going to be antagonistic towards the NFL, the NFL could use their considerable stroke to block this league from airing on any of their Broadcast and Streaming Partners (CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, Amazon) and in fact he said in a previous video that the league wanted to talk to ESPN about streaming on ESPN+ but ESPN never got back to him.  He has said that players are interested in playing for his league but if the league sees the NFL as the enemy, players who want to get back to the NFL will wait to play in the UFL.

As much as local businesses news likes to talk about football teams here in San Antonio, no one is talking about another team playing here other than the Gunslingers.
