I was thinking the same thing when I saw just the shirt. They're using the same design as Bayern Munich, make sure the shorts match the sleeves!

Reported Crew home shirt. The Massive Reddit group posted links to Rally House that have since been killed. Not a bad look, but a surprise to be certain based on previous discussions about what the shirt was supposed to represent, as a "return to home" impression. I think this shirt would look better with black shorts than yellow, but we'll see. I don't like that the yellow is lighter with this shirt, but it's not that big a deal if it helps the design stand out. I can't make out what the wording is on the state silhouette, but based on teasers I believe it's the GPS coordinates for Lower.com Field.
I also like that they have included the Spanish phrase, "Everyone's Invited". There had been issues with the Spanish speaking supporter groups and the front office all the way back to when the Hunt's were running the team.

I've been using Imgur to host my concept images for years, but I'm pretty unhappy with whatever it is they've recently changed to. Now whenever I try to upload anything, I get a pop up telling me my image is too big. Is anybody else running into this? And is there another site I can use that will just let me upload my images so I can post them here?
I'm old and hate change. Why can't everything just stay the same? The next time some friggin' site makes an update "to improve user experience" that actually improves my experience, will be the first time.
I've had to shrink the basketball court designs that I make when trying to load them into Imgur. But to be fair they're like 10500x6000 when they are saved as a PNG. I haven't had issues with any of my other images.

Especially since teams can't overload like they can in college.

My prediction for the Tigers:
- Navy blue jersey with "MOTOR CITY" arched across the front in block font, in the style of the 84 road. Gray sleeve numbers and no piping or cuff stripes, in the style of the 68 road.
- Navy blue pants, no piping.
- Gray socks
- Gray hat with navy bill, navy squatchee, and navy Old English D.
They'll look like mechanic coveralls.
Letter and numbers will probably be in chrome.

I noticed that as well, which makes me curious about the final product -- does the old one belong to their old league? Did they think it was too cringe to put on a shirt in this era of Take Us Seriously MLS? Or maybe just a clever merging of eras if they use fonts and lions that are closer to the current one.
MLS probably refuses to use the actual logo since it wasn't part of their properties.

People are (rightfully so) :censored:ing on fanatics..... but aren't Nike the ones that produce the jerseys,? In the same factory in Easton, PA where Majestic made them?
Or is that over with now
I think it's the same deal as NFL uniforms. Someone else puts them together, and then another site adds the logos and wordmarks.

https://www.theufl.com/news/united-football-league-rules-for-2024-announced
The rules have been confirmed.
2024 UFL RULES HIGHLIGHTS
Points After Touchdown
Teams will have three scrimmage play (run/pass) options following a touchdown.
2-yard line = 1 point for a successful try
5-yard line = 2 points for a successful try
10-yard line = 3 points for a successful try
KickoffsKickoffs will look like more traditional college/NFL kickoffs but will take place from the 20-yard line of the kicking team. A kickoff out of bounds will give possession to the receiving team 30 yards from the spot of the kickoff or at the spot where the ball went out of bounds. A kickoff that is untouched by the receiving team may only be recovered by the kicking team up to 20 yards from the spot of the kick.
Other Kicking/Touchback Rules
All touchbacks on kicks (punts or kickoffs) will be placed at the receiving team's 25-yard line. Any punt that goes out of bounds inside the receiving team's 25-yard line will be considered a touchback and placed at the 25-yard line. Non-kicking touchbacks will also be placed at the 25-yard line.
Alternate Possession Option
While onside kicks are allowed at any time during the game, teams will have an alternate option to retain possession in the fourth quarter. If a team is tied or behind during the fourth quarter, it may elect to retain possession after a score with a 4th-and-12 from its own 28-yard line.
Two Forward Passes
Teams will be allowed, as they were in both leagues last season, to throw two forward passes on one play. The ball cannot cross the line of scrimmage at any time prior to the second forward pass being thrown.
Catch Definition
A completed catch or interception is defined as a player securing control of the ball prior to the ball touching the ground; and touching the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands.
Defensive Pass Interference
Defensive pass interference will result in a 15-yard penalty or a spot foul if the foul occurred less than 15 yards downfield. Intentional defensive pass interference will result in a spot foul if it is beyond 15 yards downfield.
Replay Reviews
Designated members of the officiating department may stop a game at any time before the ball is next legally put in play to review a play if the play is reviewable, there is reasonable evidence to believe an error was made in the initial ruling and it would have a direct, competitive impact on the game. These reviews will be made from a secure location separate from the site of the game. Any call or non-call related to player safety is also subject to review at any point during the game, as well as any officiating ruling in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime that is obviously incorrect and will have a significant impact on the outcome of the game.
Coach Challenges
Each coach may challenge any ruling, including fouls or potential fouls, one time during the course of a contest, provided the team has a timeout remaining. A successful challenge will not result in a loss of a timeout, while the timeout is lost if the challenge is unsuccessful.
Overtime
Overtime will consist of alternating attempts to score from the opponent's 5-yard line with no kicks allowed. It will be a best-of-three format or until a winner has been determined.

Looks like we could be closer to radio comms this upcoming season.
Reportedly, schools that are in the new EA Sports game are going to start identifying themselves. This doesn't mean we'll see any media from EA on the day.
https://stanforddaily.com/2024/02/13/new-ncaa-video-game-features-stanford/
Interesting note in terms of compensation:
"With the NCAA now allowing student-athletes to capitalize on their name, image and likeness, EA can compensate athletes to appear in the game. While a report last spring claimed that EA would offer athletes $500 to be in the game, this has not been confirmed by the company or any University.
Risso also did not specify the compensation student-athletes would receive when asked by The Daily. Neither did Risso confirm whether face scans of current players would be included in the game.
Each school will receive a certain amount of payout money that depends on the “tier” a team lands in. Tiers are based on the number of AP Top 25 finishes over the past decade, according to a 2021 memo obtained acquired by Matt Brown of “Extra Points” via the Freedom of Information Act".

Fanatics may have gone too far by trying to manufacture actual in-game jerseys worn by players.
Enough complaints (which are inevitable given Fanatics quality) and the leagues will drop Fanatics. Best case scenario for them they still have their nice fan apparel business. But the upcoming backlash may cause the leagues to drop Fanatics completely.
The NHL is still hosed though.

San Antonio, Texas: Pretty bad stadium and the dome is way too big.
There are several newer stadiums that can make up the seating difference with temporary seating as well. Dub Farris, Gustafson and Heroes stadium all have at least 10,000 seats without end zone seating.

It might be an unpopular opinion but ever since the LA Super Bowl I've thoroughly enjoyed the templated super bowl logos. I think I even prefer them to everyone designing their own individual logo. I think a lot of the rhetoric around the old logos is rooted in nostalgia. In the first 20 super bowls I'd say there were about 4-5 unique logos. A ton of them also were just generic red white, and blue outside of the logos involving the roses from Pasadena super bowls. I think it is important to acknowledge as well outside of the Scott Norwood super bowl these didn't appear on jersey patches until Elway vs the Packers so I think there were different design influences. Do the logos below show any flare or personality of either New Orleans or San Diego? The one gripe I do have with the current system is that it is a bit corporate but I've gotten passed that.
I preferred each game having it's own specific logo. If the NFL copied how the NCAA does March Madness, with a couple required elements but allowing each city to have it's own game specific look could make for some solid looks.

By definition it's a generic font, because it had been used across multiple teams that had Champion as their uniform suppliers. But since the Jets are the only ones with it now, it's almost become a custom font.

Wow! Is this the first team to listen to the fans and literally “make these permanent” without any modifications?
I liked that the retro uniforms limited the amount of black jersey games. Now we’re probably gonna be stuck seeing that generic, worthless, cringeworthy, painfully overused, steaming hot garbage the full three games this year, and that pisses me off.
With the new Nike design, it's easier to just go with the Sack Exchange uniforms.
3 hours ago, Sec19Row53 said:Doesn't it have to so that it's a team color and they can then make the black alt?
I believe so, but I wouldn't be surprised if they went the 1990's route and added black trim to the sleeve stripes, or do what they did with Indianapolis and make the swoosh black.
One downside, they could make the facemasks black, which should only happen on the black uniforms, which will likely have a black helmet as well, unless they ditch it so that they can have the Namath throwbacks later down the line.

If Clark Hunt cared as much about FC Dallas than he does with the Chiefs, maybe things will be better for FC Dallas, but alas it isn't meant to be.
And it's why the Columbus Crew have steadily improved since he gave them up, though it took the guy who bought them trying to pull a Major League to get the team in better shape with the next owners.

He’s four championships away from catching Brady. Can we please pump the brakes on this guy a bit? It’s really getting ridiculous.
Y’all are absolutely nuts.
He's also got a good 8-10 years left if he avoids serious injuries. I'm happy to see if he can do it. Especially since the Browns are stuck with the worst contract in sports for three more years.

As a fellow millennial I like the HT show
My teenager was hyped for the halftime show. It delivered in my opinion. It's also important to remember how neutered they are compared to what the artist would do without the NFL deciding what's allowable.

I feel like eventually this is going to blow up in their face. Chiefs defense should get the MVP if they win.
