hettinger_rl
Couldn't stand looking at AppState's Yosef anymore so took a stab at tweaking it to still look vintage but better. C&C welcome.
macalesterscots
Certainly an improvement over the P.O.S they are using now. You should spread the pupils farther apart though; right now it looks like his eyes are crossed.
GriffinM6
Looks really Looney Toonsish. Not really feeling it. I'd try and base something of the Yosef statue on campus.
mattb6
He's kinda cross-eyed. I'd spread the eyes apart, especially the pupils, and maybe make it a bit less loony-toon-ish
seangilman
I like it but I'm pretty partial to cartoon-ish mascots. I would make the pipe a little more visible though
8993
First off, as someone who attends Appalachian State, you won't fully understand why we love our "POS" version of Yosef so much. It's a part of our tradition, so it's in our blood. I understand some may hate it, but we love it up here, so that's what matters at the end of the day.Back to your Yosef, though: I'm not a huge fan. It looks like somebody Yosemite Sam would team up with on Looney Toons. As was said before, I'd go the route in which it was more based on the Yosef statue and not just a different view of our current Yosef. Good luck! I mean i could see it used as a throwback for shirts but for that to be your official logo is just BAAAADDDD. Anyways I agree with what everyone said above, a problem with the POS Yosef logo they use now is not only does it look like it was done on MS Paint in 1997, but it's pretty cartoony
jaha32
It's definitely got a more menacing look than the real logo so you're on the right track there. I like what you did with the mouth, nose, and lip area but the pipe gets lost in all the black. If you added some yellow to the actual pipe part of the pipe rather than dark gray, it'd be more prominent. hettinger_rl
Thanks for all the comments. I was going for that vintage, cartoon look. ASU had a logo that was inspired by the statue and they dumped it. I was just playing around with giving Yosef a bit more expression.
