_DietDrPepper_
Hi y'all! I've got a simulated football league, over here. I've been working on it for a couple months, and I'm interested in sharing some of the designs I've come up for this league! Here are the inaugural logos! Hopefully you guys like the designs! _DietDrPepper_
The uniforms as of the NFA's inaugural year, 1946! The teams founding years, however, are on their uniforms. The first team are the Baltimore Bulldogs! The second team are the Boston Gaels! Next are the New York Cannons the oldest team in the league! There's also the Philadelphia Hornets! Penultimately there's the Pittsburgh Ironmen! And finally the Washington Pirates! The league prefers white at home and all but the Pirates have accepted the request. The Pirates will wear Blue at home against the Cannons. Enjoy! Jake3roo
I would want a more original skull and crossbones for washington. Because this one looks like something I could find on google images. In fact, I did. Baltimore and New York have super simple, block font logos. I do understand that this is supposed to be somewhat historically accurate, similar to how the MLB started with mostly bland block font logos, but it is startign in the 1940s, and by the 1940s, MLB teams that started with block logos had branched out into their own identities already, and I like to think a new league wouldn't start back at square 1. Now, don't get me wrong, I love seeing the progression of logos as they go through time. However, I'd like to see a little more originality to the concepts here. Don’t worry, within a few seasons all the identities have branched out a bit more. I had realized the same thing, that they were all too simple, bland and lazy, so I worked to fix them. _DietDrPepper_
In 1948, the Buffalo Tigers joined the NFA from the APL. The Cannons made an update to their logo and slight changes to their uniforms in '48 too. The league also finally stepped in and mandated white uniforms for every team after Buffalo had originally tried to join with both an orange and blue uniform. So Washington had to change to a white uniform and dropped the red one. There are the '48 updates! _DietDrPepper_
In 1949 the only change was Baltimore's uniform. Unfortunately they folded at the conclusion of the season. _DietDrPepper_
In 1950 the Baltimore Bulldogs folded. But that was it. In 1951 we had 2 expansion teams and 2 teams changing identities. First, the expansion teams; the Chicago Zephyrs and the Detroit Bombers. The 2 teams to update their identities were the Hornets and Tigers. _DietDrPepper_
In 1952 the Ironmen updated. They added a unique keystone design to their sleeves and put an outline on the numbers. They also updated their logo, a new P and I interlocking logo was fit into a new outlined, grey and black keystone. _DietDrPepper_
In 1953 the NFA mandated every team add a plastic helmet to their ensemble. Some teams also did some tweaking to their uniforms as well; the most significant being the Pirates overhauling their whole look, the Tigers relocation to St. Louis, and the Zephyrs new logo. Bomba Tomba
You forgot the team name on the Bombers If you read on the card you'll be cheating on your heart.
_DietDrPepper_
In 1955 the Gaels and Bombers updated their looks to include logos on their helmets. The Bombers also over hauled their look; darkening their brown and adding some stripes. C&C Appreciated! _DietDrPepper_
The 1956 offseason was a big one, every team updated their helmets to include a facemask, they also updated their uniforms to add TV numbers and some more teams added logos to their helmets. We also saw 2 teams added to the NFA's roster; the Minneapolis Blue Ox, and Cleveland Rangers. (hope that answers you're question @YungMan ) And the 2 expansion teams! Hope you enjoy! YungMan
I really like the Cleveland Rangers, especially the Owl logo. It’s pretty unique and not what I expected when hearing the name. Keep up the good work.
