Ricky_Roby
Be gentle, I'm not a graphic designer by nature, just a fan having fun. Next CFL season (if there is a next season) is the Montreal Alouettes' 75th anniversary. I had this image in my mind of birds carrying a ribbon that would wrap around a football (harkening back to the original Alouettes logo in the 1940s) and forming a "75." I posted on Reddit recently and folks there seemed to like them, so here they are. I wanted to make something a little more clean and compact, but every time I tried to draw it, it just never came out the way I wanted it. Oh well, didn't want to waste the work, so here are two versions:
DTConcepts
The first one is certainly easier to read. I think you should beef up the strokes on it to make it feel a little bigger, though. jbird669
Both are very unique ideas! I agree with DT concepts, go with the first one. Easier to read.
Discrim
Like the others, #1 is easier to read as 75. Tweak the ribbons a bit, and you may wanna fix the laces on the football while you're at it. I'd keep em black so as not to detract from the 75 ribbons, but I'm sorry to say damn those are some ugly laces.
