That is not something that gets said in a healthy marriage regardless of current stressful circumstances. Yikes! Leaving the alcohol aside for a moment, I think it takes a fundamental level of unhinged thinking to try to pass someone on a rural highway on the right veering into the shoulder. Unfortunately, it's also something I've seen more than once in recent years, that would've ended the same way if there were bikes in the view.
