Geoff Posted November 29, 2004 Share Posted November 29, 2004 I noticed last night that the ref's hat had a big peice of masking tape across the back where the league logo would be. Maybe he had to cover up another league's logo and an NCAA logo.I noticed that only about 3 or 4 team didn't wear their third jersey. Many lower level (below Division I) college football referees in New England have hats with the logo of the ECAC on the right rear. I think the NFL logo is also in the same position, but I am not sure if the CFL or Arena Football have them in the same spot. I know in the CFL all positions but referee wear a white hat, which is the opposite of most leagues in the US.
