Question: stripes on footballs

Probably college. I don't remember them ever being on pro footballs...

Hey, you're new, so I'll cut ya some slack. Just so you know, random Q's like this don't belong in a fantasy area of the boards. :) Just for future reference.

I don't know....they're still on Canadian footballs, though. Maybe it goes back to the days of rugby or something?

But, yeah. I'll let this slide, but in the future, post this in "Sports in General" or something like that. :D

the USFL used to use orange stripes on the ends. looked kinda wierd to me
