Stampman Posted August 1, 2005 Share Posted August 1, 2005 Well we'll see how the draft choices pan out...One of the Calgary Flames' best trades was the 2 draft picks they got for Kent Nilsson-One pick was Stepahen Matteau--and although he wasn't a big deal he contributed more than Nilsson would have from there--but what made that trade great was the other pick--Joe Nieuwendyk.---Nieuwy's rookie season alone made that a great trade...But it gets better--when the Flames traded Nieuwy part of the deal was the rights to guy named Jarome Iginla...So in effect for Nilsson the Flames got Nieuwy & Iggy--and a few others...I hope that Oilers trade doesn't work out as well for them...
