More seats courtside for the Laker configuration at Staples versus the Clipper configuration.The moving ad boards are much shorter when the Lakers are the home team.Don't know for certain if that's the answer, but it's as good a guess as any ... Also, on the upper level, there's some small retractable seating sections (about 1-2 rows), and they usually make those seats available depending on the event and the type of crowds they expect. More often than not, they're able to get standing room crowds, and there were a couple Clippers home games since the move to Staples where the attendance topped 21,000...mostly because they stuff more people into the luxury suites.
