FiddySicks
Isn't Oakland a very dumpy city though? yes it is.nobody ever wrote a song about leaving thier heart in oakland now, did they Note, this is coming from a guy who lives in PITTSBURG. Oakland, like all major cities, including the wonderful city of San Francisco, has its ups and downs Personally i think that the A's should move to Sacramento. They have a ballpark that was built for expansion and their AAA team always competes for best attendance in the PCL. Plus, its closer to me. IronChefShark
Note, this is coming from a guy who lives in PITTSBURG. aint nothing wrong with pittsburg (it is a giants/49ers stronghold in the east bay you know)see, much more liveable then Jokeland!there is a higher percentage of rat and cockroach infested dwellings in oakland (not counting the ones that fill the coliseum on sundays in the fall or the 10K or so that infest it from april to september) then there is in pittsburgand I know this for a fact US state flag concepts
FiddySicks
Hey bro, im really not trying to bust your balls or anything, but you talk about Oakland like it should just be bombed out and roped off with Caution tape. Oak Town aint all bad, and dont get me wrong, San Fran is my favorite city in the world, as it is yours. All im saying really is, the East side aint all bad. Thats my home territory my man On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) IronChefShark
you talk about Oakland like it should just be bombed out and roped off with Caution tape. well, it should! the thing is, Oakland isnt even that dangerous a town. Its just dirty and scummy!Oakland thinks its a tough city. Its not even a tough city! Like I said, its dirty, grimey, infested, and a blight. no97
Isn't the SF/Oak/SJ area considered one metro area? Saying that SJ is SFs territory is like saying the NY Giants controls Manhatten instead of the Jets because their locker room is closer. Legally it may be the case, but it seems trivial. As far as TV Market, yes they (Oakland, San Francisco and San Jose) are all the same, but that's not the point. Just look at the Oakland Raiders, and the claim of Los Angeles for territorial rights to that city for any NFL team that wants to move in (San Diego's closer, isn't it?). The only thing Al Davis has in his favor is that the Raiders were in LA more recently than the Chargers were?Moose
brinkeguthrie
one reason why they wont go to SJ...BARTmass transit doesnt run down to SJ.I can take a straight shot BART to the Coliseum and be there in 20-25 min.San Jose, in traffic, is a HAUL for ANYone in Oak or SF. on a weeknight, NO WAY do you make that drive unless you have to. jrh31584
I just noticed something. If the A's were to move to San Jose, Oakland (Raiders and Warriors), San Francisco (49ers and Giants), and San Jose (Sharks and A's) would each have two teams. Makes sense to me. The main reason BART extensions are delayed or cancelled is due to lack of money. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
