Thanks, but the flames weren't my idea, they're on the Dragons' real jerseys. I didn't really change much except the main color of the jersey from black to red. And the real jerseys have a little dragon inside the flames, but changed that to the patch on the chest.

I like these much better than their current uniforms. The all black look with the bright red-orange helmet has never looked good, IMO.

Nice job. I can't find one bad thing to say. I would like to see a little more yellow implemented in the helmet though. Maybe a stripe. Just a thought. SWEET WORK THOUGH.

I totally agree. Much better. I would even rip off the Louisville Fires top stripe if I added one. The numbers are from a while ago as they go with that boring block numbers. I don't like the mono chromatic look. Especially from shoulder to socks. yuk. The teams should try to get their uniforms to be more team specific like they used to be with teams like the Barnstormers. how much do you wanna bet that htey have a historic team with those unis? Although I did not like the helmet, Those unis told you who that team was. Now the only teams that stick out are the kats, Avengers, Rattlers (helmet), and Sabercats

Thanks, I was also thinking the helmet needed more yellow - I tried a couple of different stripes but they didn't look right, so I added a border around the helmet logo. I also made another subtle change - instead of the plain yellow jersey numbers, I made them a yellow/orange fade to blend the red and yellow elements together for a "fire" color scheme.

Adding the yellow to the helmet definitely helps. I'm still getting more of a "fire" feel from the jerseys than "dragons." pretty nice stuff, tho.

They've already got a yellow outline on the dragon on the helmet, but it's not nearly big enough. Nice touch!

The number gradient seems to "dirty" the numbers - I like them better as you first had them.

[hijack] General comment on concept changes - I like how you've done this in that we can see both iterations of your work even after the changes have been made (you don't have just the latest version posted). That makes it far easier to compare what's been done if you jump into a thread late. I wish that this were the common way to post concepts with changes.

Never would have really expected anyone to do a Dragons concept on these boards, but other than that they arent too bad. They would have kept that type of number style but it was too hard for the media too read so they had to switch. I dont really like how you moved that logo (although it is different) from the arm to the chest, it doesnt look as well. I like the switch to red from black, but i liked it when they had the black jersey and the red pants better than this. But overall not too bad, about par with what they currently use.

Hell yes. The Dragons definitely need more red, and a switch back to their original numbers would be appreciated. Their 2001 set was leaps and bounds better than what they have now - especially those red pants. In a perfect world, though, this would be a thread dedicated to an Iowa Barnstormers concept.
