Yac12
I know the the Flames have used the "A" that was on the Atlanta Flames sweaters for the "A" for the alternate captains, but to me it tooks odd to have a normal "C" for the captain instead of the C that looks like the one on the sweater.I tried a search to see if this has been discussed but I didn't find one. goforbroke
up until a couple of years ago they used the flaming C also ... but I guess they figured it looked silly having the same C twice on a jersey -- a large one in the center and then a smaller captain's C

Yac12
I like the look of the double C. I just think the normal C looks out of place with the A being like the Atlanta one.

spyboy1
I've got both the Calgary white with the flaming captain's "C" (#14 Fleury) and the black alt with the Atlanta "A" (#12 Iginla) as worn for the two Game ONe '98 games to start the season in Tokyo, Japan against the Sharks. Both jerseys have the Game ONe '98 patches and that was the debut of the Flames Black Alternates.JeffB
