The sigs include the team's primary logo, a throwback logo as a watermark (flashback!), the team's first year of existence, and the current year, or last year of existence for defunct teams. It's the same franchise. Look, I don't want to start an argument, just saying that you may want to make a second Leafs version that starts with 1917, just for the sake of covering all bases.
