OMMF
Mike O'Connell has been fired as general manager of the Boston Bruins. A formal announcement is coming at 6pm et/3pm pt. Assistant GM Jeff Gorton has been named interim GM. The Bruins struggled out of the gate early this season, and O'Connell raised a lot of eyebrows in November by trading captain Joe Thornton to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Marco Sturm, Wayne Primeau and Brad Stuart.http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=160065&hubname=Thank god! BCBoy
Finally.Coming into the year, when he said "This is going to be the best Bruins team in 20 years" or whatever it was, I really thought he was turning crazy, then once, he pulled off the Thornton trade, that sealed it for myself, he's gotta go and finally, he is. I wonder who are potential suitors for the job.
