Rather than waste posts I'll just post these somewhat related questions here....

a. Who is the manufacturer of hte MLB jerseys(for the players)

I've heard Majestic and Russell Authentics

b. When a team sets its salary cap, is it for the 25 man or 40 man roster?

Thanks to anyone who answers these.

No salary cap in MLB .

Sorry for the misleading question, i worded it wrong

I meant when teams set their cap for the year

in other words what does the team salary count for

ex. The Marlins are valued at 14.9 mil this year

Now is that their 25 man roster or their 40 man roster that is worth 14.9 million?

No salary cap in MLB .

Actually there is, its just a soft cap that you get taxed for if you go over that number.

I believe Majestic is the authentic manufacturer, Russell used to have some teams, but no I believe it's all Majestic.

Along these lines, when did Rawlings stop making authentic jerseys. I have an authentic Angels alternate jersey made by them.

It's only those on the 25-man roster and players on the DL.
