rams80
right. Arroyo is in Cincinnati. Cincinnati is like Switzerland. It's the fact he now has a Bronx zip code. What I was getting at was the fact that Arroyo took a "hometown discount" to stay with the Red Sox, and then they promptly turned around and traded him. See Red
right. Arroyo is in Cincinnati. Cincinnati is like Switzerland. It's the fact he now has a Bronx zip code. What I was getting at was the fact that Arroyo took a "hometown discount" to stay with the Red Sox, and then they promptly turned around and traded him. Where, instead of coming out of the bullpen, he's turned into the teams Ace and a fan favorite. Not a bad deal for Bronson if you ask me. By the way, Bronson was being shopped before the deal, so he had to know that it was likely for him to be traded elsewhere after it. Damon, on the other hand, sold out the same exact fans who gave him his rockstar status and to whom he told "playing baseball isn't about the money" and that he wanted to "finish his career in Boston." He goes anywhere else... ANYWHERE but the Yankees, and he gets a HUGE ovation. For instance, Pedro signed with the Mets -- Sox fans still love him!
